How to download from iPhone to LR, and then delete on Phone keeping photo in LR

How to download photos from iPhone to Lightroom, then save them, not just sync them, and finally remove them from iPhone ( or from the folder "All synced Photographs") and still have the photo in Lightroom?
Found one workaround, exporting from folder "All synced Photographs" to my desktop, then import back into LR. Is there any easier way?

If you're talking about a commercial DVD and you're in the U.S. (and a number of other countries), you presume incorrectly. Commercial DVDs are encrypted and breaking that encryption is illegal. For non-encrypted DVDs, use Handbrake.

In the past I’ve had no problem moving photos from my iPhone 4 into various folders on my computer while retaining their original date and time. I would import into iPhoto, then drag the photos from iPhoto into other folders via the Finder or Adobe Bridge (which is my principal image organizer). The original date and time of the photo would always travel with the jpeg into iPhoto and then into other folders. However, sometime during a recent session transferring photos in this way, the dates of the photos started to change at the point when I copied them out of iPhoto. Within iPhoto itself, the various original dates of the photos are retained. But in Finder and Bridge, copies of those same photos all carry the same (worthless) date: the date and time that they were imported from my iPhone. I can’t figure out what would have changed on my Mac to make it start re-dating my photos. I was happily dragging and dropping photos, and suddently I started to lose the original dates. Did I inadvertently change some settings? (I am running OS 10.6.8 and using iPhoto 8.)
(I use iPhoto only to import from my iPhone; I organize all my images, including thousands of RAW files, in folders on a big external drive.)
Why are you using iPhoto at all? use image capture or drag and drop the photos
The problem is that the files I am copying are getting stripped of the EXIF metadata
eliminating iPhoto from your work flow will eliminate one oppertunity to have this happen For photos in iPhoto it is best to export them rather than drag an drop them - this assures your EXIF and IPTC data is correct and uptodate
Why would I be able, over many years, to retain EXIF metadata in photos imported from an iPhone--then one day find that the same workflow strips such photos of EXIF data?
Because exporting is the supported way to "export" photos - I never drag and drop photos out of iPhoto and I never use thrid party programs on the photos in the iPhoto library - try exporting as suggested above and see if that is the solution

I have an iphone 5S, using version 7.0.4. I had a TON of photos on my camera roll which was taking up space so this evening I synced and chose to import all 600 photos into iphoto (version 9.5.1). It took a while to import all the photos as expected and seemed to be slowing counting down during the import. At the end it told me all the photos had been sucessfully imported, showed thumbnails (or similar) on a roll of them all and asked if I wanted to delete the photos from my iphone. As I was doing this due to a space issue I of course said yes. The annoying thing is that before choosing to delete I clicked on a random photo to import it just to check it was infact already imported. I had the message box telling me it had been imported and did I want a duplicate, apply to all duplicates etc. So I thought it safe to delete off my phone.
Once they were deleted, I now can't find them ANYWHERE on my iphoto. Please someone help me, surely they are somewhere? I really hope so, i have some precious photos special once in a lifetime events with my children. Grateful for any help!It should. So they aren't shown in the Last Import smart album, right? Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database, followed by Option #1 if needed.

How do you 'mark all' mail messages and then delete in Iphone 5?
I cannot do a mass delete of my emails any more in iphone 5 - how do you get the edit functions back onto the screen once you have 'marked all' the messages?
As Chgrist1 said, that is how it works. Having looked as how Outlook stores mail, and everything else. It is a wonder anything ever comes out that is useable. PST files are a mess. First thing they do is pull the email apart and store header, body and attachments is three different places.
You will also find (most likely) that your accounts in Outlook were POP and the default in Thunderbird is IMAP. merging IMAP and POP files and folders is fraught with difficulties and dangers. It would be a brave developer that tried that in an import.
In the case of IMAP all your mail is one the server, so import is not all that important. However copying a gigabyte or two of of outlook mail into your imap server could exhaust your available message storage space there and cause the import to fail completely.
So If you want to do what your saying, first confirm that your not using IMAP mail. Otherwise your experience is most likely going to be exceedingly poor.
If you are using POP mail, then changing the setting in your pop account to cause it to use the global inbox will make a single mail account appear, "Local Folder", with your outlook mail as a sub folder of that.
Dragging a folder from the imported outlook tree to Local folders is not difficult, as long as you remember that folders hang of other folders, so your dragging them to a parent, not a position on the screen you like. -
How compare data from 2 different ODS and then load data to Cube

After comparison ODS ZINFO_1 with ZINFO_2, into InfoCube ZICINFO_3 I have get data from ODS ZINFO_1 that document number and item number is not equal to ZINFO_2 ODSs document number and item number.
Data in InfoCube ZICINFO_3 should be:
ZICINFO_3
document number; item number; amount

10005;1;110
Could you give me suggestions how do this?

Arunas StonysMost of the time you write a routine in the update rule and you want to read a table or ODS to look up for that particular field you are intersted in, if you are doing reading the table or DSO in the update rule, it will execute for each and every record, but you do reading the table in the start routine which will get executed for each data package and in your update rule, you read the internal table to put your logic.

Another situation where I am loading DATA from DSO 1 to DSO 2 and looking for Records from DSO3 and DSO4.
DSO1---->DSO2(looking up data from DSO3 and DSO4 to update to DSO2).
NOw in the start routine I define 2 internal tables for DSO3 and DSO4 having sturctures like DSO3 and DSO4(with only useful fields and key fields,becoz u may not need all the fields from dSO3 and DSO4 afterall)
Now I am loading data in those interanal tables by using SELECT Query in START routine.
Now In various transformatino rule for populating different target fields I am reading those internal tables(itab_dso3 and itab_dso4) putting the read and where condition like
Code for field Z(of DSO2)
Read fieldX fieldY fields Z from itab_dso3 into wa_dso3 with key fieldsX=source_fields-fieldsx fieldY=source_fields-fieldsy.
if sy-subrc eq 0.
result = wa_dso3-fieldz
endif.
(here i am reading the itab loaded in start routine and reading it with the help of two source fields(dso1 fields fieldX and fieldY ) and comparing them with DSO3 .If there is a match then I am udpating fieldz of DSO2 with fieldZ from DSO3.)

Okay. here's the deal. First, I received the original Ipad for a birthday present. Now, I have the ipad 2 and my dad has my original ipad. We were able to delete all of the apps and reset most of the other items. However, I originally had the kindle app on there and when he is reinstalling it comes up with my kindle account. How do we change this? He does not have an actual kindle so I am not sure if he would be able to create one anyways. I just don't want it to keep on coming up with my account.

OPen teh Kindle app.
Tap the i at bottom right then Settings > Deregister this device.

The Kindle app is so you do not have to use a Kindle. Yes, he can have a Kindle account and not own an actual Kindle hardware device. -
Hi, i really need help... I think i by accident deleted the "download manager" i´m not shore what the program is called in English ( Swedish : filhämtaren), but its symbol looks like a grey little box and when you download a file it appears on a list and is then saved in this program. I don`t know how i didn´t see it in the trash, but somehow i deleted this program by mistake. And as a consequence i can no longer open/download any files. I just got my macbook pro and i do love the system but i am now unsure about what i should do with this problem since i am not that terribly good with computers.... Is there any way you can fix this?

If it looks like this:
It's called an "installer.app"
You can custom install the "installer.app" directly from your System DVD that originally came w/your computer. It will be either inside the "Bundled Software" folder or inside the "Applications" folder. -

If you have an iTunes backup, you could restore that. Otherwise, I think you may have lost the messages.

I'd start off your troubleshooting process by deleting and redownloading the songs:
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
Download your previously purchased song from this list.

Interestingly, your instructions worked on my iPad Mini, where I had the same problem. The update module was listed under "Usage" and I was able to delete it. Although I still have the red circle with "1" in it over my Settings icon on the home page, the status under Software Update is now "Download and Install" instead of just "Install". Also, the available storage on the Usage screen has increased by about 4.2 GB.
On my iPhone 5S, however, I'm not quite sure what the situation is now. The IOS 8 update module does not show under "Usage". However, the status under Software Update has also changed to "Download and Install" instead of just "Install"--but without my doing anything to the phone. Maybe the update file was removed from the phone when I removed it from the iPad. I don't remember what the available storage was before, so I don't know if I recouped any space.

Try swiping the downloading progress indicator, which presumably says "Paused" now. That should give you a "delete" option on the right.
If not, try syncing your iPhone using iTunes. -

I have gone through to Customer Service Reps and they say wow, that's a lot of files (1000 pics/some video) and that they aren't really sure how it works, Verizon is upgrading, yada yada. The problem is Verizon can't just switch the files over to the Cloud...what? They require that you Download them to your computer and then Upload them all to the Cloud. The amount of time (don't forget all the error messages) is immense....and its not letting me select them 1 by 1.... HELP
