How to download full res photo w/ iWeb?

Is it possible for someone to download a full res (not just a thumbnail) photo directly from a photo that I have posted on a photo page of iWeb? I thought that this could be done by "right-clicking", but it does not seem to work. I know that I can create a separate file download page, but I was hoping that family could download the full res direct from the photo page? Thanks for any insight on this.

You're right. The images I uploaded from iPhoto were originally, approximately, 1 Mb each. When they were uploaded to the web, via iWeb publishing, they are all 60Kb - a significant drop in file size.
To answer your query, specifically, if you want friends/family to have access to high res images, then photocast an album with the pictures you want to share.

  • How to use full size photos in iWeb?

I'm trying to create a web site with photos I've taken, and I want the *full size* photos (1024 x 768, 1280 x 960, etc.) to open when a thumbnail is clicked. The whole point is to publish desktop pictures. iWeb seems intent on downsizing my pictures no matter what I've tried, which is getting very frustrating, and makes them useless for desktop pictures. How do I get iWeb to stop messing with my photos and just do what it's told to do?

I think I understand what you are trying to do. Perhaps what you could do is to basically have a page with thumbnails of your desktop pictures. Maybe you shouldn't use the readymade photo gallery templates in iWeb...they will just have the whole downsized slideshow as you have seen already. Just choose a relatively blank template page like Movie and delete the movie placeholder. Then make your desktop picture thumbnails. And then maybe you will have several different resolutions of each picture, so you make links under each thumbnail so that when they are clicked they will download the appropriate picture file. I think you just use the "Link to file" option in the Inspector panel. Good luck!

  • Email full-res photo from E90

I apologize if this is such a simple question that I should have found the answer somewhere else, but I Googled and looked through the E90 user guide and can't find out...
I'm considering buying an E90 but one thing I need to be able to do is send emails from it with full-res photos taken with the phone (and video too if I could). Is that possible? Surely it should be possible, but as I said I can't find out whether it is or not. The connection I would usually use would be wifi but once in a while 3G.

A few things to consider -
Camera settings can be set to produce pictures of various sizes, smallest is best suited to sending via MMS.
Any picture can then be sent by email
Cost of the transmission is determined by whichever route you use, be it 3g, 2g, or wifi

  • How can you Copyright your photos in iWeb

Does anyone know how to copyright your photos in iWeb so that others can download your images and claim them as their own?? thanks

Press: Option+"G" and you will have this "©" after it put your name as:
    ©Fito Pardo 2007
In photoshop or a program like this put your copyright notice on top of your photos like I did it:
    http://www.cinematograf.com/Links/Clientes/Pages/Belinda.html
If you like no one to download your pictures I recomend to you to put your images like here:
    http://www.cinematograf.com/Media/StillPortfolio/StillPortfolio.html
So is more dificult for others to use them as their own as this pictures are in way less resolution than prints and is very difficult to use video images on a catalog, it look like crap.
    And there is another way
Put your images like I did in video, then place a box layer on top of the video and make that box transparent:
Under the "Inspector" window, go to "Graphic", then go to "Opacity" and make the square "0%", make shure is on top of your whole video so no one can download your video.
This is actually the best way, but then again if you don't put a copyright notice like the "Belinda" pictures I did (she is a Latin Pop Star, That is why I put that copyright notice on top of every shot, there is a lot of fans who like to have some of those pictures) you will still have to worry about:
    "Shift" + "Command" (Or Apple) + "4"
That one is the command to copy what ever you want on the screen
I hope this works for you

  • How to open high-res photos files? (Lumia 1020)

Ok, I dont have time to do alot of research on this when the 1020 cant make JPEG format of the high-res photos in the first place.
So...how do I open these photos on my computer...or have I missed something? The format seem to be *.DGN, never heard of it.. How to make it JPEG?
Why these stupid long filenames and its not as easy to get the files to my computer as it were on the Belle (N8 and 808)...
I suggestion, get the Lumia phone compatible with the Nokia Suite computer program and some settings there that filter what type of files to sync to the computer and so on...I loveed that program wre you could upgrade the phone and have a good overlook and which handled many differant phones at the same time...

    Try THIS
Also in settings it's easy enough to switch to JPG highres. Actually unless you changed it to DNG yourself it will (still) be on that setting. Unless you need or want to process your photos yourself using a suitable program on your PC there is very little point in using the format to shoot the highres images.

  • HOW TO CAPTURE FULL-RES IN QUICKTIME????

    Hi
A friend of mine who doesn't have FCP needs to capture full-res DV Quicktimes of DV & DVCAM tapes.
However, when I select "device native" in the Quicktime Recording prefs, Quicktime captures a 640x480 movie, not a 720x480! I encounter this issue despite capturing from several different decks.
Now, the 640x480 recording looks squished; when I manually change that recording's resolution to 720x480, the image appears to be the proper aspect ratio.
But why isn't Quicktime capturing in DV's proper resolution to begin with? Please advise.
    --Tasty

    Simple answer:
Don't use the new "One Click" recording feature found in the Mac version of QT Pro if you wish to further edit the file in DV editing apps.
The button says that it will create a .mov file. Quicktime doesn't use the "rectangular" pixels (wrong phrase but you know what I mean) found in a DV source file.
Slower computers may also notice a significant "frame drop" when making these recordings.
The file created by QT Pro is correct. A 4:3 file should be 640X480 in dimensions. It is only when these 4:3 files are imported into DV editing app (iMovie, FCP) that you notice the change.
Since you must have QT Pro to make these "recordings" use its Movie Properties/Visual Settings window to change the dimensions.
If you use a DV source you are better served by importing the file using iMovie (or other apps).
    Square pixels vs. rectangular pixels.
Your friend should import the .dv files using a DV editor.

  • Can visitors download full-sized photos without using the iWeb photo page?

Neither the photo page nor album page suits the needs of my site, so here's what I would like to do:
Import my pictures into a blank page. Instruct visitors to right click to save.
Will they be saving a full-size version of the photo? Or will it save a thumbnail?
An alternative is to make the thumbnail itself a link to a page with a larger version of the same photo.
By not using a pre-formatted photo or album page, I do not have access to the iWeb download photo quality selector (it's grayed out in the menu).
    Thanks for your help.
    Greg

The quality that you upload will be the quality that viewers can download.

  • How to download full version of Illustrator?

I sent an invitation from the Team version to one of my employees.  The download selection sheet show "install" for many of the apps, but for Illustrator (AI) it show "try" and when they download, it gives them a 30 day trial version and asks for a serial number to activate.  How do I get a full version rather than a 30 day trial? I sent three invitations and they all worked except for this one.

It is pretty big. How fast is your download. Takes me about 3-6 hours to download a typical Adobe app.

  • How to reupload high res photos to Facebook?

About a year ago I uploaded an album with the built in Aperture/FB sync functionality. Back then FB only allowed very small images that got very brutally compressed. Now FB supports resolutions up to 2048 and the compression is much less harsh. New albums created in Aperture does utilise this new format, however when syncing the old albums, even after making changes to a photo, Aperture still only exports a low-res high compression version. How can I force Aperture to upload in the new format?
I realize I could make a new album, but then I would loose all the tags and comments – which I would really like to avoid.

Wondering the same thing. Any solutions?

  • PSE7, how to download images to photo site to make album?

I am trying to make an online photo book on Shutterfly. How do I "find" the images I want when I use their downloader? With my previous PSE3 I always had duplicates of what was in the organizer in 'Pictures', and it was easy to download from there.  Now, sometimes they are in 'Pictures', sometimes not.  So...how do I get into the organizer to download images to an online photo site?  Thank you!

Your PSE Organizer doesn't contain the photos themselves -- it just has links to where your photos are stored in folders.
Here's an easy recipe for uploading photos to any online service that doesn't have an uploader built in to PSE:
    1. Make a new temporary folder on your desktop.
    2. In the Organizer, select the photos you want to upload.
    3. Do File > Export. Select Use Original Format.  For the Locaiton, browse to the folder you created in step 1. This will place copies of the selected photos in the folder.
    4. Use the online service's tools to upload the photos from that folder.
    5. Delete that folder (and its contents) when you're done.

  • How can I easily rearrange photos in iWeb?

I am trying to rearrange photos on my iWeb pages and seem to have no control over where they land when I drag and drop them. I have several pics on one page and cannot see them all on my screen (G4 17"). Is there a way to view them all so I can see where I'm dragging and dropping? Or do I have to arrange them all in iPhoto first?
    Thank you.

You can use Wufoo as OT suggested, but you can also create your own form by writing you own html code into the html snippet in iWeb. You can also have whatever background colour you want and whatever text colour that you want by inserting the correct code.
Depending on where you are posting your site to determines what you would do and how you would set it up. If you are posting to an external server, then most have Formmail which you can enable to handle your form requirements. I have done this with my own site and hand coded both my forms and it routes via formmail to be e-mailed to me. With this method, you can set the fields to what you want and include exactly what you want. Formmail will then take you to a page that then tells the user what they have filled in and what has been e-mailed. You can configure this page in the form fields to get exactly what you want by way of title, text and background. If you don't like this, you can re-direct to a thank you page or another specific page on your own site.
If you publish to MobileMe however, it does not support Formmail, so you need to set the form to be e-mailed to you.
There are lots of possible options here, so just have a look and see what will work best for you.
I used Wufoo myself at one time - http://www.wufoo.com, but changed because I did not like the idea of a third party holding data and also, if their site goes down for whatever reason, you have lost your form completely, which is not the case if you hand code your own form and use Formmail.
