How to drag and drop from shared library to iphone/ipad?

Since our Mac Pro has more storage, that's where I keep our iTunes videos, to avoid taking up space on my wife's laptop. Sharing the libraries works ok, except for one issue.
When my wife wants to put movies onto her iPhone or iPad, iTunes won't let her drag and drop them directly from the shared library. She can copy them just fine to her local library and from there to the devices, but that is cumbersome and takes up disk space.
Please don't tell me it isn't possible because we did have it working for some time, I just don't know what's changed. The devices are set to "manually manage", drag and drop works locally, just not from the share.

If you read it carefully and study the samples, I think you should get rid of your first question.
Concerning the second question, you can overwrite the isCellEditable(int row, int column) method to return false. This will block any editing from the table.

What are you using to play them? If you are using the Remote App, then yes that is the expected behavior.
You must go into the Music or videos App, and find the Shared Library. It will then play in the iPad or iPhone.

How to Drag and Drop from Active tab to Inactive Tab in Elements 13?

In previous versions of Elements, I was able to drag a layer from and active tab up to an inactive tab, which then made the inactive tab active, with the new layer. In Elements 13, that doesn't work, and I have to open the Photo Bin, and drag it down there . I am just wondering if I need to adjust a setting, or if this feature no longer exists in Elements 13?

Yes. I have Windows 8.1. Using the Move Tool, I drag the desired object to the other file. Pre Elements 13, it easily worked up to the inactive tab, and switched it to active. Now I have to drag it to the Photo Bin. It still works, just no as simply since I have to open the Photo Bin. Not a big problem, just annoying since my habits still want me to drag up to the inactive tab, not down to the Photo Bin. Resetting the preferences didn't change anything.

Do you realize it is an object-based vector-based program? Do you know the difference between raster-based and vector-based content?
My question seems to be all over the forum but no one has been able to answer other than exporting to these file formats, which make text look awful and of no use....
And yet everyone else in the world makes proper web images every day using a plethora of programs, including these...go figure.

Hello, cocteau! What you're calling "transparency" is inherent to object-based vector artwork. But web browsers don't support object-based vector artwork, except via file formats like Flash and SVG, or by viewing as a PDF in a plug-in version of Reader. Raster imaging in general only supports "transparency" by either indexing a specific color (i.e.; "don't display this color", as in GIF) or including an alpha channel (i.e.; "blend all the pixels with existing pixels, based on values from this extra channel", as in PNG). It's all in the raster file format you use, cocteau; it has little-to-nothing to do specifically with Adobe software. Such things are among the most basic matters understood by someone doing web design.
When I export an eps from .ai file, and open the eps in photoshop,...I save as a gif for the web, it goes back to the original problem...creates jagged text. I"m giving up on this garbage...Thanks a lot adobe! Lower the price of this software if this is all that can be done.
Once it leaves Photoshop (or Illustrator, or whatever) as a non-proprietary raster image format, it's all about what the format can do re "transparency". You can do this stuff with most any graphics program. You should read about basic web design and the differences between raster and vector content, rather than rant.

Now you don't have to user USERS_GEN this transaction is used only in first action, when you create the user in R/3 and then you pass this user to EBP in the organizational structure.
Now you have to:
1) Go to PPOMA_BBP
2) Double click on organizational unit that you want to put this user (purchasing organization or purchasing group box for example)
3) Select assign button in the top of the functions in the transaction
4) Click on incorporates -- position
5) Put userID that you want to add in this organizational unit
6) Click Save

How do I drag and drop from LR to InDesign?

I read somewhere on a forum (maybe this one?) that you can drag and drop photos directly from LR to InDesign.
I have LR 4 and InDesign CS6. No matter what I try, I can't figure out how to drag and drop files from LR4 to InDesignCS6. I always get a "cannot" icon appear in LR.
I try to drag-n-drop PSD and JPG files from LR to inDesign.
Is it possible to do?

I did more research online, and the more I research this, the more it seems that the LIGHTROOM DRAG AND DROP functionality works on MAC but not on PC...
If it is the case, this would be a major annoyance.
Some people said this feature worked on PC in Windows Vista.
I tried running LR in compatibility more (Vista SP2), but this did not fix the issue.
I am starting to wonder if this is a problem with LR running on WINDOWS x64 systems... (I am running WIN7 x64)

Drag and drop in iphoto library

My MacBookPro from 2006 died this week so I got a new 2013 MacBookAir. I am a digital artist and my iphoto library contains over 13000 images in it which I work with daily. I had them in a specific order but when the files were all loaded onto my new Mac they are all in a huge jumble. I'm at wits end trying to figure out how to make sense of them. In my old iphoto I could drag and drop them wherever I wanted them. I'm not sure what I'm doing now. I don't seem to be able to drag and drop in the library like I used to. I used to ignore the events thing, I didn't like it. Now it seems like events are more important. I was trying to work with them but I have 13000 events too - I started out trying to merge them but it will take forever. This is a real problem for me, for one thing I had them ordered by what rights I had purchased and where I got them from - that's all lost now but I would at least like to get them in order of subject. Any help out there? Maureen

You can sort manually in the Photos mode if you uncheck the option to view the Event titles in the View menu.
You would be best served by using albums and keywords to group the images as you need them. Smart albums can be created to display all images with a particular keyword assigned to them. Makes for quicker access to a specific group.
A little extra work up front can save a lot of effort later on.

Drag and drop files to library on a Mac

Does anyone know how to do this? I feel silly asking how to drag and drop...yet it doesn't appear to be allowed on my Mac. I don't want to import to library because I import a lot of PNGs most of the time and Flash creates symbols for me (again, only on a Mac, not a PC). Is this some sort of ploy from Adobe to get Flash designers off Macs? I just think using Flash on a PC is MUCH more user friendly than on a Mac. There are other reasons I think this.
Anyway, if there is a way to drag and drop to the library, I'd love to hear it. thanks for any help!

So, I assume you are dragging and dropping objects from your machine directly to Library pod or to your Slide.
Are these images/sounds located on network?
No, on the same drive (c:).
Try Closing Captivate and Right Click--Run As -Administrator and check if it is still doing the same behaviour on a enw project.
I've tried this. Same result.
Usually when you drag and drop an object -- if it is movable to destination is shows a small "+" and if not it shows "x" next to the faded dragged object.
Can you please try these and if it still happens, can you add some more information?
I've tried to drag and drop simple files, like jpg, mp3, swf... what ever. Nothing works. I've got the same problem on my home office system, wich is totally different to my working station here. My colleague here in my room has pretty the same system, and it works fine.

How to drag and drop another swf or fla into a template?

I am building a flash website for a friend. We are using templates he purchased at flashden.net.
I normally use wordpress, joomla and other such systems and am familiar with html, php, cgi and such.
This is my first time dealing with a flash template.
I have downloaded the trial version of the software and he wants to purchase adobe flash professional for me
So that we can edit the template and add features he wants in the future.
The website that sells the templates says you can easily drag and drop addons to templates in flash
but I am not finding it so easy. Is there somewhere online where I can find a tutuorial on how to step by step
drag and drop flash files into another template etc.?
Also, where can I find good tutorials in general? I have downloaded adobe flash for dummies it is not as indepth as I need
to get a handle on this software.

Thank you for responding.
Flashden.net does claim its a simple drag and drop operation to do this but they have little to know information on the site about the subject and
having difficulty with the sellers on step by step instructions. They claim it's easy it may be.
The person I am building the website for had a bad experience with one of the sellers who refused to offer anything but basic instructions and claimed the cost of the software was not worth his time.
Here are the instructions that were provided:
Open news_rotator.fla
Go to library.
Select and copy NewsRotator movie clip.
Paste it into your own project’s library.
Now, you can drag and drop it into your own movie clips.
Use news.xml to add/remove headlines.
As you can see from what your telling me this is insufficent information on how to drag and drop this flash into another flash template.
I will attempt to contact other selers at flashden for information as I have other flash templates we have purchased.

I would use a graphic (instead of text) for the Tabs and call setOnDragDetected on that graphic. That way you know which tab is being dragged. There's no nice way to put the Tab itself into the dragboard as it's not serializable (see https://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-29082), so you probably just want to store the tab currently being dragged in a property.
Here's a quick example; it just adds the tab to the end of the current tabs in the dropped pane. If you wanted to insert it into the nearest location to the actual drop you could probably iterate through the tabs and figure the coordinates of each tab's graphic, or something.

Can't drag and drop from Address Book to Mail?

Hi,
I have always used Address Book to store my email contact information in SL. When I wanted to send an email, I would drag and drop from Address Book to the "To:" field in Mail and it would add the contact information to Mail. I upgraded to Lion, and now when I try this, the address icon moves like it should, the little green circle with the + in it appears when I hover over the field, but when I release it does not add the address to Mail. The drag and drop does not work at all, but it looks like it should. I have searched all around but have not found any information about this. Does anyone know what's up with this? How can I fix it? Thanks in advance.

Are you dragging from the actual AddressBook application, or the Address icon you can add to the NewMail and Reply toolbars in Mail? (It ought to be there by default, but isn't).

To drag and drop within the target listbox you'll have to add a Drag Starting? event for the target listbox and register that drag data with a different adn unique Drag Data Name, then in the Drag Enter? event check for that data name as well before accepting the event, and then in the Drop? event for the target listbox handle the new data name as well. You can use the Point to Row Column invoke method to determine which row, column, or cell is being manipulated. I've created a VERY crude example of this, but you'll have to get more creative with how you handle the moving of rows, columns, etc. for the target listbox, but I think it gives the general idea. Hope this helps!
