I really don't get what you are trying to say - sorry.
When I go to the page you have linked, it looks OK.  When I click on the HOME button, it takes me here -

That page looks just like the page I just left.
And your description is a bit tough to follow.  Can you try again?  Tell me where to go and where to look to see what you are seeing.

If i hardcode my style into the Login header.
Change my body to reflect my html changes for div tags
the login displays the way I want.
If I remove my style and link to an uploaded style doing the following.
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#SAMPLE2A.css" type="text/css">
the images do not display. Everything else from the style sheet works
    just the images do not.
I am doing the following to display the images
    #header {background: url("#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#testheader.png") no-repeat; width: 743px; height: 123px; position: relative;}
is "#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#testheader.png" correct way to display images when doing css
    Howard

#WORKSPACE_IMAGES# is not substituted in files, such as css at runtime, only in the page template (and other places in apex). The best way that I've found is to define the bulk of your classes in a .css, and only the image attributes in the page template header. Or, you can just store everything on the filesystem in Apache and use relative paths.

  • Mail.app and CSS Style Sheets in HTML E-mails

    Hi all,
Query. I recently began to get some e-mails from a blog site where the e-mail background is black (or very dark), with black font. Hard to read of course.
The background color appears to be getting set by a remote CSS style sheet, for which the URL is embedded in the HTML markup in the e-mail body. The background color is the same as the background color of the blog site.
Based upon communications with the site author and developer, it would appear that this is unique to Mail.app. They are not seeing this on their end in their e-mail clients.
When moving the same e-mail to a folder that syncs with Me.com, I can view the same e-mail online in the browser and a white background shows up, not the dark background.
Thus, it would seem that Mail.app is honoring the CSS style sheet, while other applications are not.
I do not see any obvious preferences in Mail.app to enable/disable this behavior.
Am I missing something, or is Mail.app doing something that other mail clients do not.
    Thanks.

    I found an answer :
    defaults write com.apple.mail MinimumHTMLFontSize 13

  • How to edit planning table so that only promote option comes for user

how to edit planning table so that only promote option not aproove, comes for user for process management in planning unit state first pass.
i am using 11.1.1.3 planing version, i have to do this customization very urgently.
guys pls give some clue...thanks in advance!

    Hi John,
a lot of thanks for your valuable help on this forum.
if u see first pass state options, it gives only two options(promote, approve) but for other states it give >2 options so they must have put some condition on first pass state by restricting it to two options only.
do u have any idea in which table this condition has been put so that i can restrict it further to 1 option only.
    thanks.

  • How to bring Sample CSS Style Sheets into a Template?

I am creating a site from scratch using CS4 Template.  Can I incorporate more than one DW Sample CSS Style Sheet?  And how do I bring them into the Template site?
    Thanks, g

Thank you.  I added the 3 sample css style sheets I want to use into my site.  Now I am trying to bring a different sample css into different sections of the layout.  Example:
    Sidebar 1: green/yellow
    Sidebar 2: red/yellow
    Middle: blue/yellow
I seem to only be able to have one for the whole page.  Is this true?
What I am doing is clicking on the div tag: <div.sidebar#sidebar1>, then "Edit CSS" and then scroll down in the Class window to "attach style sheet" and there at the bottom is a link to the sample css style sheets.  I click on the one I want and it changes the css for the whole page not just the sidebar 1. Is there a way I can get a different css sample style sheet for each sidebar in a 3 column layout, and a different sample css for the middle?
    thank you very much

You can't bring 3 of the sample CSS style sheets together because there are defined areas like tables and lists and paragraphs that are just being redefined.  Then what happens is the browser picks (usually the last set) the instructions it wants to use to display the content.  The only way around this is to save a copy of the 3 CSS documents and open them at the same time.  Then use one as your master which will be linked to the page and grab colors from the other CSS documents.

  • When I try to attach my css style sheet Dreamweaver gives me an error saying that my .css file appears to be an .html file and will not attach. How do I fix this so I can attach my style sheet?

I have built a css style sheet in Dreamweaver. When I try to attach it to my html website, it prompts me that my "css file appears to be an .html file and cannot attach". I've tried removing the /* */ as suggested by other forums, but this has not resolved the issue. I was using css style sheets with no problem 2 days ago. Now I get that error message. How do I fix this so I can attach my style sheet?

What does the code of the CSS file look like?
An external CSS file needs to be written in CSS only (no html tags like <html>, <body>, <head>, etc ).
It also must have a .css file extension, if yours has a .html extension it won't work.

  • How can i load a specific CSS style sheet for Safari?

Okay, So I have some structure issues when viewing my website on Safari compared to Firefox. Is there a way to put a code in the <head> tag to load a specific CSS style sheet for Safari like you can do with IE?
    Thanks.

I took a screenshot of your page from Firefox (shown below).  I assume you're seeing the same problem in Safari.  If you increase text size one click, the keyboard image drops below the #contact division.
    1) Height is a restiction in all browsers except IE.  Avoid  using height values on containers with text in them.  If needed to show  a background image, use the min-height property.
    2)  Fix your code errors. Some browsers are very sensitive to errors.
    3)  Your #content lacks cohesion. You need 3 columns, each with a width in pixels.  Or simply use a 3-column table.

  • How to attach a CSS style sheet ?

    Hi,
How to attach a CSS Style sheet to a portal page ?
    Thanks for your help,
    Jean-Christophe

For a standard Portal page you should use the Portal styles and associate them to a page. These effectively generate a CSS style sheet anyway if you view the HTML source of a rendered page in your browser.
Using the correct PDK APIs you effectively reference the CSS tags in your Java or PL/SQL code.
If your portlet need to open a page in a new window you can no longer reference the Portal page style as the CSS style sheet does not get attached.
In this situation, code your HTML as normal and reference your CSS style sheets as normal.
If you create you CSS sheet you can store it in a page as a file and access using the direct access URL like I showed you in a previous response regarding the storing of images.
    Cheers,
    John

  • CSS Style Sheet Link Recursive Error?

Perhaps some CSS statement in the stylesheet is trying to import your stylehseet! Thus the recursive warning. Look for "@import" statements and see if its trying to import the stylesheet. Then either comment them out (/*your old CSS*/) or remove it. Save. And see if that solves it. But not being able to see your whole stylesheet, this is only a guess.

  • 11g Custom.CSS Style Sheet issue...is it a bug?

I've created a custom style sheet that we're using to change the graphical elements of our dashboard. I've got everything working and I'm really pleased about how it's looking. Today, I started working on changing the default field attributes. I didn't want to have to go in and change 7-8 elements (font, size, bold, etc) so I used the Custom.CSS file and created new CSS classes that I could easily assign to fields. My thought was that I could go through my whole web-catalog once and apply the CSS to each of the fields, their headers, etc. so that if we wanted to make global changes to formatting later on, I could go and edit the Custom.CSS.
I've run into a slight problem which brings me to the purpose of this post. I have saved the CSS classes into the fields, applied them and saved the changes as the defaults for the fields. Everything works great and the CSS defined styles appear when I create a new report. My concern is that when I create a new report and pull in one of the fields that I have defined and saved the default style, the field no longer shows that it's definition is linked to the Custom.CSS. If I hover over a field in Firebug, it tells me that it's referencing the Custom.CSS, so I know the field is actively referencing the CSS. Shouldn't the field retain the reference to the Custom.CSS when I save the style? Any other developer going into the field will not be able to tell that there is a style sheet that defines the field attributes.
Also, is there a better way to go about applying styling to fields across the board?

    Hi Brad
The changes to the file is not done outside of Muse, I know by touching Muse's files from BC will screw things up,
rather it is done from Muse itself by going to the page properties and entering an html code in the header of the page.
Also maybe I should'nt said Locally Published, I meant when exporting the html and viewing it locally.

  • Should i put my table in my external style sheet?

Should i put my table in my external style sheet? if so how do i do this?
i'm having serious problems trying to stop my menu bar and header to stop jumping around when a switch pages. I realised i needed to create an external style sheet. however, when i extracted the ccs styles from my one of my pages (my homepage), there is only styles for my spry menu bar, nothing else. - however this doesnt stop my menu bar from moving around. all of my pages are use tables. so my menu bar and header are both 'td' rather than in a div or wrapper.
it seems as though nothing i try will stop my items from moving around. they are all exactly the same width and height in html and the same in css. I know about attaching style sheets, but i just cant seem to understand how to get everything aligned properly. I want my external style sheet to have my header at the top and centre, and my menu bar underneath and centre. How do i do this using a table? do i put the table into the external style sheet so that my table measurements etc are the same for each page? + how do i do this? Does anything else other than positions, colours, fonts etc go into my external style sheet? cos im aware that i use the html for the things i want to look different and every page, and the css for the things that i want to look the same. so which stuff goes in which? im getting really confused now, does my header and menu bar need to go in my external style as well as my html? :S
everything just seems to have gone horribly wrong, ive tried so many things, but everything i try simply has no effect. blahhh :/

and this is the external style sheet, which i extracted from my home page (the top code). what do i need to add to this?

  • How can i print just one page of photo book without printing the entire book

how can i print just one page of photo book without printing the entire book

    Jim,
    Take heart.  We can help.
First turn on page view so you can see how the content of your sheet fits on the page(s).  A Numbers document contains sheets (listed on the left) which in turn contain tables, charts, text, and graphics.  Select the sheet you want to print on the left, then enable page view by selecting the menu item:
    "View > Show Print View":
Now you should see your content and how it fits on one, or more, pages.  If thie content is too big for one page use the controls and the bottom left of the window to expose the sheet controls:
Here a table is too big to fit on one page:
slide the "Content Scale" slider so the content fits:

  • Automatically attaching CSS style sheets to new documents

I wanted to alert everyone to a great new Community article published by Adobe Community Expert David Powers. The article details how to attach CSS style sheets automatically when you create new documents.
    Here's the article:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/505/cpsid_50564.html
This handy option is easy to miss, especially if you don't use the New Document Dialog box to create documents, so big thanks to David for highlighting this.
Furthermore, the appearance of such an article is a great example of how Community content can interact and live symbiotically with Adobe Help. We've linked directly to David's piece from our documentation, and this is indeed a great thing because David is able to go into much more detail about the process of automatically attaching style sheets than we are able to do in Help:
    Create a blank page
Create a page with a CSS layout
If you're interested in publishing Community articles of your own, you can download the Community Publishing AIR application and get right to work!

    Can I ask why?
David's excellent standard should be the minimum standard for Help files.
The quality of software manufacturers' Help (not just Adobe) has deteriorated greatly over the past decade - to the point where it's now my last resort for learning.
Software manufacturers seem to tacitly rely on 3rd party book authors (such as David's brilliant material), bloggers and online tutorials to explain their products these days.
I'm happy not to have a printed book with my software any more because they were always out-of-date and hard to update. However the quality of PDF and online Help docs is so poor and sparse for my use that I prefer to get my answers by Googling, visiting forums or buying the occasional book.
