As you found out, you can't use mini disks in your computer. You can try turning the computer disk side down and shaking it. Not recommended but you could try using tweezers or similar and try grabbing the disk and gently pulling it out. Or, you could take the computer to a repair shop.
Search these forums. This has been discussed many times and there are several suggestions.

  • How to eject/unmount stuck volumes?

Hello, a few month ago a minor issue appeared on my MacBook Pro 2012 with Retina display.
The problem is that, when a .dmg image is mounted can't be ejected/unmounted until rebook.
I've tried everything, force ejecting them, ejecting them from disk utility,
killing finder and do that again, deleting the "com.apple.finder.plist", log out and then log in again but nothing.
Only with a reboot the images are disappearing. Exactly the same thing is happening to USBs and CDs at the external CD driver!
When I force eject them, it says that the were ejected, but they are still on the side list in the finder.
I have searched the web the last months but with no results. It's not a very serious issue, but it has become very annoying.

So, we can rule this out as not working:

  • MacBook Air. How to eject CD when it stuck inside of Super Slim DVD player?

I'm using MacBook Air with Super Slim USB2.0 (portable DVD player). I inserted a Blu-lay disk in accident and then the disk stuck inside of the player. I can hear motor sound from the player but disk does not come out. I tried to write "drutil eject" on Terminal but did not work. Please help me how to take the disk out of Super drive. Thanks!

Ejecting the stuck disc can usually be done in one of the following ways:
      1. Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
left mouse button until the disc ejects.
      2. Press the Eject button on your keyboard.
      3. Click on the Eject button in the menubar.
      4. Press COMMAND-E.
      5. If none of the above work try this: Open the Terminal application in
your Utilities folder. At the prompt enter or paste the following:
            /usr/bin/drutil eject
If this fails then try this:
Boot the computer into Single-user Mode. At the prompt enter the same command as used above. To restart the computer enter "reboot" at the prompt without quotes.

  • How to remove a stuck CD/DVD in drive

I recently purchased a new to me MacBook. I had a new hard drive installed, and I told the technician that I'd install the system software. I guess I forgot to tell him to format the drive. I went to install Snow Leopard, and nothing happened! I tried to eject the install CD by holding down the eject key and it wouldn't come out. I guess it needs a system installed to eject a disk. Does anyone have suggestions on how to eject a CD disk? Thank You.

With your install DVD in the optical drive reboot. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option key until the Install Disk shows up). That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Just press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. You should see your hard drive in the left hand column along with your other drives. Click on the drive and select the Erase tab. Set the format value to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and click the Erase button. After that has finished select the Partition tab. Type in a Name for your hard drive and select how many partitions you want from the Volume Scheme. The usual setting is one partition. Click on the Options button after you've selected apartition to make sure it's set for GUID. Then click the Apply button and after the Partitioning is done quit Disk Utility. You can now follow the instructions on the install screen

i left a dvd in my macbook pro for a while and now my computer wont recognize that there is even a disk in there, nor will it eject it. how do i get the dvd out?

Hold down the mouse button or trackpad clicker as you start up.
If no joy, restart and hold the Option key. This brings up the Startup Manager, which will draw an Icon for each bootable Volume. When all are drawn, the Eject key is "live".

  • My Macbook Pro always ejects any CDs, DVDs that I insert. How do I remedy this?

My Macbook Pro always ejects any CDs, DVDs that I insert. How do I remedy this?

Before taking it for repair, try a drive cleaning disk. They are US$5-15 at most computer, electronics, and office supply stores. Slot-loading drives get dirty and the inexpensive cleaning disk is the logical step before spending a lot of mony.
Case in point: A friend has an older MacBook Pro and its optical drive had not worked in years. When he took the computer to an AASP for servicing another issue, he asked about replacing the optical drive. The Service Provider said it woul cost US$140 paarts + labor to install a new one--something my friend could not afford at the time.
I loaned my friend my drive cleaning disk and now his original drive works like it did when new.

  • Help - how to Eject DVD/CD in mini?

    Hi all
I got my new mini last week
I use it as HTPC only with the apple remote (no keyboard or mouse).
I need help with - how to eject DVD/CD in mini?
    Thx for the help
    Benzi

If you press the Menu button of the Apple Remote, a Screen should come up with one of the choices being DVD. Use the Remote's "wheel" to choose DVD and then press the center button. The next window has a choice to Eject the DVD.
Music CDs work the same way, except substitute the word CD for DVD in the previous paragraph. The Eject option will be the last option at the bottom of the album list.
Or does this not work for you?
Please remember that you can only use standard size DVDs and CDs. Don't insert any of the smaller 80mm ones.

  • How do I remove a DVD that is stuck in the drive on MacBook

I put a DVD in my drive to watch a movie and it is making a sound as if it cannot red it and my computer is not booting up.

A stuck DVD should not prevent your Mac booting from its hard drive.
Turn your Macbook all the way off (hold the power button down until the power light turns off). Then try the following:
    - Reboot the computer. Straight away, hold down the left button on the trackpad, or the left button on an attached USB mouse if you use one. Keep it held down and eventually, the disk should eject.
    - Reboot the computer. Hold down the Option key until you see the boot panel on the screen. Choose your HD to boot from that disk. Once booted, is the DVD shown on the desktop / in the Finder? Try ejecting it there.
    - If, once booted, you don't see the disk in the Finder, take a look at the disk slot. Can you see the middle of the DVD? Try pushing it in very gently.
If none of those help, you should take it to an Apple Store or authorized repair center for them to remove it.
