How to enable the standard price in the accounting -1 view of material mast

Hi,
When i was trying to create a material of material Type: FERT, Iam unable to enter the price of the material in the accounting -1 view-> standard price.
The field has been disabled.
So please tell me how to enable the standard price.

go to OMS2 double click FERT
in valuation check which price control is allowed
it should be std. price
go to OMSR check MBEW-STPRS note field group
in OMS9 for this group and material combination check whether that field is maintained as display

Hi,
Material master for finished ggods is related with SD, MM & PP departments. If you carefully go through the various screens in MM record you will realize the importance of the respective fields and the department to which they belong.
1.Suppose Base unit of measure in Basic data 1 screen. The production people will keep the stock of the item using this UOM.
2. In Sales:Sales Org.1 screen we have sales unit in which we will sell the material.
3. Then we have the plant data in which we enter the delivering plant. Also the taxes are determined from the plant so we have the settings for taxes also - whether this material is fully taxable/50% tax/Tax exempted.
4. Then we have purchasing screen in which the data like the purchasing group, variable units,etc are entered. This will effect the purchasing cycle when we are procuring a material from outside. This is related to MM.
5. The we have MRP, this is related to PP as to how to manufacture the product, the MRP type, the strategy group - whether it is MTO/MTS like that.
5. Sales:Sales Org.2 screen - Here we mainatin the account assignment group which is very important as far as the generation of the accounting document is concerned. This triggers the system where to post the value in which G/L account. Accounting document is generated when we create the invoice in VF01 & save it.
6. Work scheduling - Related with the sceduling of the production as to whether underdelivery or overdelivery is allowed, the storage location
7. Quality - Here you can select for a particular finished item where where it has to be checked for quality during its journey from the raw material stage to the finished goods store as a finished item.
8. Accounting - Related to accounting, product costing, total value of the stock in hand, etc. Also related with FI & PP
So all the screens have data which effects one or more modules for the proper functioning of the system to give the optimum results.
Industry Sector:
Key that specifies the branch of industry to which the material is assigned.
Use
When you create a material master record, the industry sector you specify determines
1. which screens appear and in what order
2. which industry-specific fields appear on the individual screens
Screens for Sales:
Sales:Sales Org.1, Sales:Sales Org.2. But other screens also have data which is related to sales. You cannot just maintain the sales views and save the master. It has to be properly linked with the other modules also for the proper functioning of the system. That is why the system is called as "Enterprise Resource Planning" You have to paln the resources of your company and these resources are related with all the modules.

Costing Issue-Previous Price changes in Accounting 1 tab in Material Master

Hi SAP Experts,
Our Client has an issue with "previous price" field under the "Accounting 1" tab in Mateial master .The issue is that client never did costing to this material XXXXXXwith plant XXXX. But system is showing value in the "previous price" field. We have checked whether previious cost estimate exists. There was no previous cost estimate and still the system updated "previous price" field.
Can anyone let me know in which cases the system updates "Previous Price" field in Material Master ?

May be this material was created with reference to the same material in other plant or with ref to some other material or may be costing run was deleted from CKR1

Just populate text into table i_tline.
Local data declaration

How to retrieve the basic data text in material master to SAPSCRIPT?

Besides using the function module READ_TEXT in the calling program, what alternatives are there if I don't want to modify the program but make changes in the sapscript only?
I've tried to use the include statement in the sapscript editor, but I don't know how to call the text object whose ID is GRUN, object is MATERIAL.
Should I use the include statement or any other ways to do it?

How to change the account group of a customer master?

Would like to change Ship-to's to Sold-to's. I know the transaction XD07, but when trying to promote a SH to SP, I receive the error
The planned change is not allowed as the following field groups would be masked by the new account group.
Below the error the table displays Group Name PO Box City and Address.
How do i bypass this and successfully change the ship-to to a sold-to?

Chek out ur new account group for Sold to party ,whether all the fields in address tab is marked either optional /required. It should not be in display /supress mode then only u can successfully change ur SH account to SP account.
I think , Number ranges should be same.
if itz not da same number range system will give the message ,but it will allow to change the account group.
As I successfully worked in this issue earlier.
As we all know, we only change the account group from lower to heigher,
ie. sh,bp,py to SP only not viceversa.

While changing the SerialNoProfile in Material master i am getting the following error message: Serial numbers already assigned to this material Please tell me the procedure how to remove the serial number profile for the material.

it is not possible to change the serial number profile once the serial numbers are existed for material .you can however create a separate serial no profile without serialization procedure and assign the same to the material

Deleting of future price in accouning 1 View from material master.

Hi,
During month end process of CKMLCP, we have done the marking activity. so that the system updated the future price for all materails under specified plants. this is valid from 31.03.2008. by this time the system was not released the price automatically even, the valuation area (plant) is activated with automatic release. when doing of production confirmations for the current period, the system is throwing error as "future price and standard price exists". when we deleting the future price manually through MM02 transaction the systm is allowing to do production confirmation.
Kindly suggest me any transaction code which deletes the future price in accounting 1 view of material master, which is updated because of marking done through CKMLCP.

We tried to delete the price through CKR1 transaction. after giving of parameters of material and plant blant screen is coming.
i think CKR1 is useful for deleting of future price updated through costing run i.e., CK40N marking.
But in this case when we scrutinise, this is updated through CKMLCP transaction.
after performing of "post closing" activity through CKMLCP,
i think SAP has provided another Tab i.e., Mark Material Prices. by this time the system will mark future price at current periodic cost. and at the same time there is a provision to give date either manual date or select the radio button of beginning of following period in parameters tab.there is no provision for giving of valid date upto.
may be this is useful to update the standared cost estimate with current actual.
I am also not sure why user have given data as 31.03.2008. usually they are not suppose to do this marking, but, by mistake they have performed.
Kindly correct me if any mistake and suggest any other way which will delete the future price in accounting 1 view of material master.

The question is very simple, cause although We have revised most of the posts of the forum and metalink, we do not discover how to enable the attachment feature in Receipts Form, in our release 11.5.9.
Due to we have a custom receipt form and a standard receipt form, we have try to enable oin both forms, but we do not get it.

How to enable the "top activities" from the performance in OEM12C?

We installed the 12C OEM. But the "top activities" and other options are not enabled from performance pane. I tried to set the parameter control_management_pack_access = "DIAGNOSTIC+TUNING" . Does not work. As was told that should be due to the databases we are running is 11.2.0.2 standard edition. We have the license for the tuning package. Does anybody knows how to enable the option on standard edition database?

Holy crap, this fixes the issue. At least temporarily it has. I should add that my issue was single finger forward/back swipe stopped working on the magic mouse in Firefox since Mavericks came along. I have been fighting this since I upgraded to Mavericks a few months ago. Thank you, tbirdvet. You have no idea how much easier you just made using my iMac again.

If I press the FN+5 keys the only options I get is LCD and no S-VHS option. My TV is set up for it as I watch DVD's through the cable.

Sorry, my Tosh A100 has a Geforce 7600, I don't know what your GA is.
But on mine I have a NVidia Control Panel, where I can configure dualview,
which normally lets me choose between the builtin LCD and the extern monitor (VGA-Port).
When a TV is connected and not recognized, I can enforce recognition there.
On the next start of the panel, the TV is then available too.
Perhaps I could help you.
If not, note that with windows settings your TV will not be available.
Try to go to the User Interface of your graphics adapter...
