How to export the data from an excel file to Oracle database by using macro

Hi,
I want to export data from an excel file into Oracle database.There is one method that by creating the macros through excel we are able to do this.
can anybody please send me the code to create macros?

Hello Sharat,
You have two options of saving data to excel sheet:
Step 1:
Goto RSA3, change the "Data Records / Calls" to 1000 and then execute. This way instead of 10 different packets you will get one packet.
Step2:
Click on the list button, open the packet by double clicking it. You will see all the data on your screen.
Step3:
Goto System -> List -> Save - > Local File -> Spreadsheet and give some name for your xls file.
Assign points if helpful.

Hi, you can even use control technology. There are several example programs how to export data to excel. Please go to transaction SE80. Choose enviroment->examples -> control examples. Take a look at office integration.

I presented to my Oracle consultant and representative from Oracle Malaysia. They said impossible. I do not believe what they said. I do believe can be done.
Can someone help or direct me to an expert that can help me on this

We don't know what "some answer and reference" you received "from the forum."
We don't know what it was that your "Oracle consultant and representative from Oracle Malaysia" said was "impossible".
So on what basis are we supposed to "help or direct" to "to an expert that can help "?

By typing code at the keyboard... but presumably you meant to ask what code you should type.
To get data out of Excel there are a few alternatives. The Google keywords I would use to find them are "java excel". I use Apache POI but there are other possibilities, I believe. As for getting the data into MySQL once you have extracted it from Excel, you would use JDBC. But you already knew that, didn't you? You did find the JDBC forum.
In general it's better to ask a specific question on a forum. If you don't have a clue (which is the way we all start out) then just telling people that isn't going to be helpful. The best you're going to get is links to tutorials, which you could perfectly well have found for yourself by simple web searches.

I give a example "Importing Spreadsheet Data to the Citadel Database" in the LabVIEW Version 6.1 and LV-DSC 6.1.
LabVIEW 7.0 with LV-DSC you must in the ini file "DSCEngine.ini"
set NoShutdownLog=1 and UseServerTimestamps=TRUE.

How to put the data from one excel sheet in another excel sheet

I want put the data from one excel sheet in another excel sheet in seq. order Eg: I have one excel sheet in which i have 3 col. Name , Sno. , Email along with data .I want to put data from this sheet to another excel sheet in the following orders of col. Sno,Name, Email .
While loading data in another sheet , i have to perform validation like char field should n't contain numeric values and vice versa .

Well, you can issue separate queries with the ordering you need from each tab in the spreadhseet. You can open an ODBC connection from a VBA macro, select a sheet, run a query, select another sheet and run another query. As for the validation, you can do this in Oracle via stored procedures or again in VBA code.

Loading data from an excel file to Oracle Tables

Hi Everyone,
Once again I will have to bring some data from some excel file, which I have already done and "know" how to do and I would like to confirm with you all something first.
What I shall do is the following:
From one excel workbook file which has a lot of info just in one spread sheet feed some tables with the data coming from it.
So what I have though is create mane name ranges (Define names on excel) as I need and work with them, but I will be facing with headers on the rows and columns. There is where I doubt if it will be possible. So far, I will not be able to modify the Excel’s file structure.
Something more or less like this:
Country1 Country 2
Sales1 9999999 9999999
Sales2 9999999 9999999
Sales3 9999999 9999999
Total123 9999999 9999999
Sales4 9999999 9999999

Ok, let me get this straight.
You will need to create a data server for each Excel Work book
That means that as I will just work with one excel sheet, I will just have one data server and within it, there will be the spread sheets (excel tabs) and therefore the different named ranges.
Each of your named ranges will be a data store beneath the data server which can be used as a source model in your ODI interfaces. Therefore if you have a single workbook with 12 sheets for the months, each covered by a single named range, you would have a single data server withe 12 data stores.
This means that I will have something like this:
+ “My_Workbook.xls” server name (Just one)
-     Spread sheet 1 (1 or several named ranges)
-     Spread sheet 2 (1 or several named ranges)
-     Spread sheet 3 (1 or several named ranges)
-     Spread sheet n (1 or several named ranges)
I do think that if my statement above is correct, I think I got the idea. Is it like that?
I have gotten another question; let’s say for example that in any spread sheet I will have three different named ranges. The difference between spread sheet and spread sheet will be the month within and of course the information. Would it be accurate to bring it like that? That means that so far for twelve month I will bring 36 named ranges.

You shouldn't use DataAttributeInfo as it is an internal object, if I'm correct.
Use IWDAttributeInfo instead of DataAttributeInfo and it should work

How to retrive the data from a sqlite file(.db3) in windows phone 8.1(runtime)

hey guys
i installed the sqlite and sqlite-net as requested in other answers i found, changed to x86, and add the .db3 file in my project.
but the problem is how to retrive the data that already in the file( i am not creating any table or data in the app, just read)
all the answer i found is to create a table first and then read the table, i tried to skip the step of creating a table, and read from the table directly, but failed with " no such table", by the way, i set the property of the .db3 file as "content",
"copy if newer"
can anyone please help? i appreciate that !

From your description, you want to read data from available sqlite file. When you add the sqlite file into your project, you need to change the sqlite file build action to content. After deploying to device, the sqlite file is located in installation folder,
you need to copy that file into storage folder before reading data. Please try the following code snippets.

Is there any way to read the data from an excel file w/o using a loop structure?

I am retrieving a large amount of data (multiple sheets) from an excel file and would like to extract the entire range without retrieving individual cell values(too slow). I can write an range all at once but cannot read it.

If you are able to write a block of data, then you should be able to read a block. The four requirements that you want to verify are:
1. The Range specified must match the exact size and location of the data block you want to read
2. The returned data is in a 2D array of Variants (either strings or numbers)
3. Use Variant to Data to convert to 2D DBL or 2D Strings
4. Check for the correct orientation for your application (use transpose if it is not)

Here is what I do to read such a file:
I first save the Excel file (xls) as CSV file (which is easier to handle: Comma Seperated Values) .. Open the file using Excel and save it CSV.
Then using the code attached I get all these values in a string array.

Define a join in Webi Report which gets the data from two Excel files

I have the following excel records as a source for my Webi Report:

Excel 2

Month

Total Number of Days

No. Of Exec

Area
Now I need to show No. of executions/Total Number of Days in Month per functional area (Where Month of Excel 1 is Month of Excel 2).
For this:
I have Merged, Month of Excel 1 and Month of Excel 2, Year of Excel 1 and Year of Excel 2.
Created a variable vNoofExec , No. of Exec/Total Number of Days in Month.
Created a graph, with Merged Month, Merged Year, vNoofExec with Region Color on 'Functional Area'.
But, it doesn't work.
If I replace vNoofExec with No. Of Exec I get the data, but not with vNoofExec.
Any Idea how we can get a solution for this?

What I found is, if I create a measure like, [No. of Exec] where ([Functional Area]="FA1") and use this measure in the graph I am able to see the data even if I use Total Days in the Graph, but, I cannot create multiple measures like this because for me number of Functional Areas will be changing always.
