How to find a workstation object by ip or mac address?

Hi gang.
I'm trying to search for a workstation object by mac address or by IP
address. So far, I'm not able to find the correct attributes to do so.
Can anybody point me in the right direction to find a workstation by either
IP or mac?

In ConsoleOne find, advanced, look for ZEN:INV IP Address attribute

My customer have problem that workstation objects are not equal to physical workstation total numbers.I find the reason is some workstation have the same ZCM ID.I know I could fix it by run "zac reg -g http://server_IP",but I need to find out How much the workstation with duplicate ID.

I have found if you can view the message log on your server that reads The managed device (machine name) with guid (guid #) that has the yellow diamond status and click on that message to read the detail sometimes the full message at the top and the source: line down below will have 2 different machine names. I then go to the 2 machines and unreg them from the server and locally, go to the zisedit info in windows and clear all the image safe data and sid leaving the name and workgroup where it shows up. I then boot into zen imaging on the re-boot like I am going to image the machine, at the bash prompt I do a zisedit and clear all the image safe data in there but the name where it is entered and workgroup(there is only 1 line in there that doesn't get cleared when you clear it from windows). I then re-boot the machine, login workstation only and re-register.
If the machine name is the same in both lines in there then you can go to the machine object that has the error and look at the inventory information. I have found that the host name will show up as the other machine name it is conflicting with sometimes.
We have only had this issue when we forget to prep the image from a master correctly to put on other machines or, we forget to modify the zisedit data adding a name and workgroup before we re-boot a brand new machine that has never been on our network that we have just imaged.

My Scenario is having a tablespace of 65G but the data is 5G and that is at the end of datafile for that we are not able to resize the datafile our though is to find out what are the objects at that end of datafiles and will either alter move <owner.tablename> move or alter index <owner.index> rebuld online.
For that how to find out which objects are at the end of the datafiles.

           even if we enhance this structure with zfield, as it is search object, then it should queried on some main database

Hi Sai,
Go to Report Element Tab-->There you have a Tab Cell Behaviors.
When you flip between 'With Data' and 'Structure Only' under 'Design' Tab,you can see the some cells will be hide/Un hide behavior,if hiding of cells applied.
Select that cell and then Under 'Cell Behaviors'-->'Hide' Tab-->and choose Show Option.

This is called timed access on the airport utility..
Set no access for all other wireless.

at least you need to know the application you are talking about. Then you can goto that particular area and evaluate the content (cubes, infoobjects, infosources, datasources). It will surely give you an idea of the fulfilment of your requirements by the content.

How to find out which object on a JPanel was clicked...

I have a JPanel that contains about 200 other small JPanels(only 8 are visible at any one time), and a JButton(with Visible set to false).
When one of the small JPanels is rightclicked i want to know which one was clicked so I can add the JButton to it (set theJButton Visible on the JPanel that was rightclicked). When the JButton is clicked, it will hide the JPanel it was on and hide itself again.
I added a MouseListener(MousePressed) to the main Jpanel but I dont know how to find out which of the smaller JPanels was clicked. I would Also need to know how (in the ActionEvent for the JButton) the JButton knows which JPanel it is on so it knows which one to delete.

hi,
i don't know if this would be the best way to do it, but i would add all the instances of the objects to a hashtable with the key as the attribute with which you want to search them. You would then retrieve the object using the value.
