How to find Backend tables for a reports in oracle iSetup

Hi,
We are planning to implement oracle iSetup for our client.
Before that we would like to understand the functionality of iSetup in oracle Apps.
Also from where the report is getting the data.
I mean How is data collected from the backend tables?
How is data presented within Java Pages - for review as well as downloads?
Can anyone please answer my questions.
I would be glad to have ur suggestions.

Hi Satya:
iSetup is a framework which works with a set of functional APIs provided by the respective teams within the E-Business suite. The 'extract' generation collects data from the required tables using these APIs. The reports are generated on these 'extracts' which are snapshots of setup data from an instance at a given point in time. iSetup provides seamless migration and reporting capabilities between one or more instances.
I would like to undestand more about the use case for which you are planning to use iSetup so that I can help you better.

You can see the basic salary details from table -pa0008.If you can see the payroll data,then its not stored in transparent table.its in cluster.For viewing that,you can see through transaction code - pc_payresult.

Hi Sridhar,
Welcome to SDN.
The tables for a given transaction can be seen in the transaction SE80.
First goto SE93.
Give ur Tcode and find the program name.
Now goto SE80. select program in the first dropdown and give the program name in the second box. U can find the list of tables used.
One more way is : use ST05.
and One more is using FM 'get_tables'

in CRMD_ORDER there is a field CRMT_7850_SERVICE_UI-DURATION.
The structure is CRMT_7850_SERVICE_UI
The fieldname is DURATION
How can i find out in which database table content of this field is stored?

When you execute report CRM_ORDER_READ (trx. se38), entering your order nr, you will get
an overview of all the underlying tables and their entries of the order.
E.g. you will find structure ET_SERVICE_H, corresponding to table CRMD_SERVICE_H;
structure ET_SERVICE_I, corresponding to table CRMD_SERVICE_I.
I expect your field (duration) to be in CRMD_SERVICE_I.

We are implementing ECC 6.0 at our client site.
The client wants to use language field in persoanl data infotype as mother tongue and include indian languages.
He don't want all other languages like spanish etc instead he wants indian languages like Hindi,telugu,tamil etc.

You can enter the languages in the IMG
Path is
IMG-> Personnel Management-> Personnel Administration -> Personnel Data-> Languages
Or you can simply go for technical information in the field name and will get the table name for that field and can maintain in SM30

Hi,
you can always check the queries wich are executed during a session by keeping your trace on. goto ST05, make the trace on for ur user name and then run the extraction. Goback to ST05 and switch the trace off. and in the log, ull see all the SQLs which are executed. In this you will get your table name as well..
Dont forget to stop ur trace as its a overhead on the application server

How to find out table name for the field in the webUI

I am in CRM2007.
So i go to the transaction code BSP_WD_CMPWB
In that i provide the component name as CRM_UI_FRAME.
I press the Test button.
So, it opend the WebUI.
I want how to find out table of the particular input field?
I mean from which table the data is retrived how to find out?
When i enter some thing in the input field how to find out in which table that data is stored?
By pressing F2 on the input field it opend View and Component Name.
I want find out table of that particular field. How to find it?
If anybody know about this explain it with Screen shorts if possible.

goto tx genil_model_browser. Suppose you want to find fields reated to your order header eg sold to name. In component set write all and press F8. Then goto access object and in access object click on node BTAdminH. Click on attribute structure. Here you will find structure and attributes. If you click relationship then you will see all the relationship wrt btadminh. open any r/s that you require. and click on other object and attribute. You will get to know the structure.

Here you go..
1) Go to table RSZCALC and get list of ELTUID where AGGREXC is not INITIAL and AGGRCHA is not initial; now you get only exception aggregation set based on some chars. Also you can further add STEPNR = 1 since your intention is just to get query name , not the calculation details; this will reduce number of entries to lookup and save DB time for next steps.
Here you will get list of exception aggregation UUID numbers from which you can get properties from RSZELTDIR.
2) Pass list of RSZCALC-ELTUID to table RSZELTXREF - TELTUID and get list of RSZELTXREF -SELTUID - this table stores query to it's elements maping kind.
3) Now again pass RSZELTXREF - SELTUID into same table but into different field RSZELTZREF - TELTUID and get RSZELTXREF - SELTUID
This step you get query reference sheet or column or query general UUID for next step.
4) Pass list of RSZELTXREF - SELTUID into RSZELTDIR - ELTUID with DEFTP as 'REP'. Now you get list of query names in RSZELTDIR - MAPNAME and description in TXTLG.
Note: you can also get the reference chars used for exception aggregation from RSZCALC - AGGRCHA field.

Look into table, JEST, JSTO, AFPO & AFKO. CAUFV filed OBJNR, TJ02T filed ISTAT.
But, it is very difficult to combine the details like Order and System status.
Take the help of your ABAPer to generate Report for you.

It's not unusual for systems to have processes that run quarterly or even annually. You need to be very careful about dropping "unused" tables - you might just kill your organisations end of year reporting system.
Is buying more disk space really not an option?

User exits are built into the Standard SAP code. You just activate them and insert your code into the include programs.
Here is a program that will list the user exits per transaction code. Not perfect, but it may help.

SMOD, is where you can find the system modifications provided by SAP. CMOD is where you will implement them. If you are looking for all the enhancements provided, then go to CMOD, follow the menu, 'Utilities-->SAP Enhancements'. This will take you to a screen where if you just execute it, you will get all the enhancements provided by SAP.
It is always difficult to find a user exit if all you have is a program name or a transaction code, unless you do a program like Rich suggested. But even there, you will not be able to find user exits that are implemented as sub-routines(also called forms not sapscript forms). Most of the user exits are documented under the corresponding task under IMG structure. So use transaction code SPRO, go to the IMG structure, choose the application area that your program or transaction might be and then you should find a task that talks about enhancements. If you execute that task most often it will take you to CMOD and sometimes to SE38. But all you want to know is there in the documentation attached to the task. Then you can go to CMOD and see which components are there.

There is no relationship between reports and business areas. Each report can be built from many folders. Each folder can be in many business areas.
However you can try the following SQL which may give you the result you want for an v5 EUL. You will have to modify for Discoverer 4 EUL:
