How to find R/3 fields to BI InfoObjetcs .

Hi,
I have R/3 fields , but now i want to find corresponding BI Infoobjects , Pls let me know how to find it.
I have tried RSOSFIELDMAP, 90% Infoobjects are not available i nBI.
Note : I have Created generic datasource and now i want to store the data in DSO.
Pls help me .

Hi Jai,
The field is called External ID which equal to LIKP-LIFEX or RV50A-VERUR_LA (structure).
Path:
Goto -> Header -> Administration -> External ID.

How to find out important fields in table like MARA?

How to find out important fields in a table for example like MARA?
Details: In R/3 or ECC table for example MARA;
1) How to find out what are the important fields?
2)Does the table have only key figures not characteristics right?
3) There are so many tables in FI; Can you please tell me what are the important tables?
4) There is any easy automatic way to figure out that the particular datasource for example 2lis_02_item is pulling data from so and so table. I like to know the process not the results please.

Let me go by points:
1. There is nothing like important fields ... The question could be Key fields ... the fields which identify a record uniquely ... If you go to SE11, and go inot the dispaly of MARA table ... you will see that there is tick mark under key to indicate that the field is a key field ... All the fields which are so marked would identify a record in the table uniquely. If your question is otherwise ... (Important fields) ... then it depends on the purpose you wnat to meet ... Some fields might be important for me but not for you ... so there is not hard nad fast rule for important fields.
2. No... Tables in R/3 or ECC would contain both Key figures and characteristics.
3. Important tables in FI would be BKPF, BSEG and BSET.
4. The procedure for finding out which table are used by say 2lis_02_item would be different from that of other non LO/LIS extractors.
In case of LO/LIS turn on the trace (below process) while populating the setup tables and for thoers while executing RSA3.
1. Open one session and go to ST05, click on "Activate Trace"
2. Open another session and execute the transaction you want to track for the tables it is going to hit.
3. Go to the session of point 1 above and click on DEACTIVATE TRACE
4. Click on DISPLAY Trace
This will show you all the tables that were hit while extracting data. Point to remember here is ... it will hit some standard tables as well ... so you will have to filter out what is relevant from what is not.

in r/3 we have been using rsosfieldmap table to find the infoobject existing in the bi system and can u tell me how to find the crm field whether that particular infoobject is existing or not in the bicontent.

Check for the filed source table -- next find the data source used--> you can search in help.sap.com for the related BI content BW info objects
Rsosfiledmap table is used to find the respective Bw filed to which its mapped. this table can be used only if the fileds are already mapped and exisintg in use in BW system.
i guess u can use the same table to find the Bw info obejct(only if the CRM data source is replicated n used in BW system).

Enter field name and execute. You will get list of table where this field is exist.

How to find values for fields of PROPERTIES in cl_crm_documents= create_w

Hi everyone ,
I am attaching files from local disk to CRM Opportunity by using method cl_crm_documents=>create_with_file .
I am able to see files in SAP frontend portal , but the problem is some of the fields in properties tab coming blank .
So how to find the NAME and VALUE fields of PROPERTIES structure in create_with_file .
Right now i am passing below fields these ar coming
"-----Filling Properties structure
    ls_prop-name   = 'KW_RELATIVE_URL'.
    ls_prop-value = wa_path-ls_name.
    APPEND ls_prop TO lt_prop.
    ls_prop-name   = 'DESCRIPTION '.
    ls_prop-value = 'Strategy paper for action plan1' .
    APPEND ls_prop TO lt_prop.
ls_prop-name = 'LANGUAGE'.
    ls_prop-value = sy-langu.
    APPEND ls_prop TO lt_prop.
but fileds like Attachment Type , Document Status , Line of Business , Business Year and Country of LE are not coming
as i frontend is a CRM custom application to mentain opportunity .
at prasent i am passing attribute Names and default values of these fields to properties structure but then also i am unable to see it in front end.
Please help if anybody knows where to find the NAME and VALUE fields for thse parameters.

I believe you CAN find this only when you are creating lv_string from your structure (or whatever it is).
So paste that code that what is your 'structure' type and on what conditions you want to Fill lv_string from it.
in that LV_string is dynamicaly select. from a structure which is a combination of say VBAK and VBAP
If you have a custom or standard Structure from which you need to fill lv_string, then you should have no worries to full VBAK~ or VBAP~ because fieldnames will be always unique in any Structure and hence ~ additions are not necessarily needed.
The issue can be in the case where you are picking few fields each from std tables VBAK and VBAP in your lv_string and
your "(from_tab)" is an inner join condition. I believe in that case you should be able to identify VBAK~ and VBAP~ while populating lv_string itself. Also you can use DB view MASSVBAP.

              I am very new to ABAP,
            i am willing to write Report ,that is if i enter the vendor number i have to get item,quantity , name...with dateetc....
My approach was : i went to ME2L and i gave vendor number and date in that then i got some data ,then i got the program of that list ( it was there in bottom right) i.e, SAPMSSY0 .
           Then i entered in SE38,in that i go with Display Object LIst to find out the tables and fields,but i failed to found.
My question is : I can write the reports if i know the fields and tables location....
                          Here i want to know the ,if i enter the Vendor No, i have to get the regarding information about that NO,_for that i have to know the fields and tables_ of item and cost ....every thing ...
       if my question was not clear please ask me i will explain you again...
      Can you help me how to find...

   Goto transaction SE84 then follow the path
SE84-->ABAP DICTIONARY--->FIELDS---->TABLE FIELDS-->ENTER THE TABLE OR FIED NAME you want to find
    and EXECUTE the programm you will get all the information regarding that field or table.

Hi ,
How will i come to know that particular R/3 field is mapped to BW field.
for .e.g
I have BW Fields in Cubes , how can i see the R/3 field tech names for that .I can see in Infosource , but for few areas i am not able to find the infosource in sap help.com.
Pls let me know how to find the R/3 Fields for BW Fields?

These are the following approaches used
1.) Check the SAP BI Content website "http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/3d/5fb13cd0500255e10000000a114084/frameset.htm". From here find your datasource . here u can get a list of fields in the datasource along with your R3 field and infobject.
2.) Go to Transfer rules structure of the cube or DSO, there u wuld be able to see all fields in Datasource structure fields, See the left pane and right pane. there u will se ur R3 fields and Infoobjects of BW along with their mapping.
3.) Follow this process
in R/3 system - use tcode SE11 ->ROOSFIELD -> GIVE Extract Structure & Field Name > Check Records with Version D and A.
NOTE : Make sure the fields of the datasource in R3 are not hidden , otherwise you wont be able to vierw ur data.

How to find which form fields are duplicated

OK I've been making several forms in PDF to merge together at a later date. Now I merged them but its telling me I have multiple form text fields that are named the same. How can I find out all of which form text fields are named the same so I can change them. Is there a search function to do that or not?

I am actually trying to put a few different PDFs together to make one big PDF and I have form fields that are named the same, per the message I get when merging 2 PDF docs. Because there is so many form fields to go through I was wanting to know if there was a quick way to see all the form fields that are named the same so I can go change the name of them. My requirement is to close all POs whose delivery date is overdue by 6 months. this can be accomplished by setting the delivery indicator in ME22N. I want to do this by BDC.
I have the list of all purchase doc numbers and item numbers whose delivery date satisfies the condition given.
Through Recording I want to find the fields getting effected. The delivery inidcator has to be set automatically by choosing the appropriate item from the dropdown list box. Choosing th eitem from dropdon list box was not found by me. Can anybody help me in this regard? Its very urgent. Thanks in advance

How to find if a field is updated in ADF-BC

I have two pages displayed .
Both the pages display data from DB as form data.
When I edit any of the fileds in one page[ex:first page] and navigate to another,I need to display a warning message that some fields are modified..do u wish to save/cancel.
If no fields are modified ,then the warning message need not be displayed.
How can I achieve this?

Field by field in the underlying EntityImpl you can call isAttributeChanged(int). You could create EO transient attributes on the fields you interested in, and expose them through your VOs.
An easier way at the JSF level is to grab the associated data control and discover if the associated transaction is dirty.

Hi people,
I already know how to get the table or fields from R3 that some InfoSource use by "Portal SAP" that our friend here answered.
Now, I would like to know if there is some way to get this but using some transaction in the ECC6 (R3) or BW.
I ask by that because I will be some situation that I will have to know tables and fields that some InfoSource use and maybe there isn't in the Portal SAP.
Obs.: I don't know ABAP, so I would like some way that doesn't use Debug (ABAP), if it is possible.

In many cases you will be able to get documentation from help.sap.com regarding the tables and fields used by standard datasources. For example for all the Sales and Distribution datasources you can refer the below link
