How to find variant config material changes

Hi!
I have a requirement to compare variant config material under an equipment sales order. Scenario is:-
Suppose company has sold one product and that product is variant configured. Under configuration tab user has selected different characteristics and because of that characteristics some materials has come under that config material in sales order. Suppose customer has returned that material after some time and now I have to create a follow on return order. My requirement is , I have to check that if that configured material has been changed now (depending upon same characteristic values ) or not. May be that configured material is now having one more component material added that is priced now and that configuration product price has been changed because of that new added component .
Is there any way I can compare that configured material in sales order with regards to todays date. (Depending upon characteristic values) .

The material documents are NEVER deleted. You can reverse them (MBSM provides a list of reversed documents) but not delete them.
You can delete the delivery, then the VBFA is cleared but in MKPF table a trace of this still stay in field MKPF-XBLNR that contains the deleted delivery number.

Eg: Ford car.If a sale order is raised for fiesta lxi model the system should choose red colour & for vxi blue colour respectively.
ie you need to define the characteristic and assign the values .
This characteristic need to assigned to class.
class need to be assigned to material master
1. T.code : CT04(characteristic) FORD_MODEL, Choose single value & entry required tab & give the input as 01 - fiesta_lxi & 02 - fiesta_vxi.( characteristic values)
2.Tcode: CT04, FORD_BODY( another characteristic)
Choose single value , don't click entry required.
01 - Red( characteristic values)
02- Blue
3. Create class T.code : CL02
fiesta_class
type : 300
4. OBJECT DEPENDENCY:
T.CODE : CT04
FORD_MODEL
CLICK VALUES TAB,
IN FIESTA_LXI CLICK THE 'O' meant for Obj dependency, action & extra.
Edit the dependecy,
010 $Self.ford_body = '01'. & save
Repeat the same for FIEST_VXI & instead of '01' give '02' for blue colour.
, then create a ROH as ford_body. & a KMAT material for the car. .
Then create a Super BOM with usage 3 & give component as ford_body
Then use T.code cu41 (Create config profile)
enter a profile name & class 300 & choose class assignment, choose fiest_class ,
Use T.code cu50 to check the values.
Then create a sale order.

MI31 - Phy Inv. - how to exclude Variant Config Materials

For our Variant Cofiguration Materials (parent materials) we don't have stock to count for the physical inventory (MI31). The company would like to exclude these items from the material selection automatically.
I've looked around in the IMG for material master and in physical inventory but I didn't find anything that looked like a "exclude from Phys Inv." indicator or anything that could be used on one of these materials.
The site could "exclude" the individual material #'s in the selection screen of the MI31 transaction and save a variant or something...but it would have to always be monitored when new materials were created, etc. Company would like to know if there is a configuration setting of some kind that can exclude a Variant Material from the phys inventory run.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

what is wrong with ACC TO STOCK settings?
Does it exclude to much? more than you expect?
Unfortunatly you have not done anything in your design to distinguish Variant Config Materials from standard materials.
Same material type mean probably the same number range as well.
I have other ways to select, but it depends on the number of materials that are in this material type.
How many do you have in that material type, how many do you want to exclude.
How often will you count?

I want to find some config details from last reboot time. I like to know what duplex had my NIC when it was rebooted. I know how to check current duplex but I could not find what was the value when last rebooted.

How to find the workflow for Change Request for the PO's

Hi All,
We have a PO which is pending and we can't receipt it again nor make payment on this. After checking the Approval history for that PO we found that the change request has been made. The change request was to change the amount to be paid to R39196 instead of R58237.00. We don't know where to check the workflow for the change request to identify the cause.
what i need to know is how to find the workflow for that change request? The other workflows can be checked using the po_header_id for the PO's but i am confused with the change request workflow

For 11.5.10.2 run this query to determine the keys to search on:
Select wf_item_type, wf_item_key from APPS.po_change_requests where document_type = 'PO' and Document_num = 'put-PO-number-here'
Then use the keys returned by the query to look up the Workflow in
Workflow Administrator Web Applications / Administrator Workflow / Status Monitor
Search using the results returned in fields "Type Internal Name" and "Item Key" in Status Monitor
The query for change requests on a specific Requisition would be:
Select wf_item_type, wf_item_key from APPS.po_change_requests where document_type = 'REQ' and Document_num = 'put-Req-number-here'

How can we identify a material document which is created by MB1B transaction is reversed or not. is there any field like reversal indicator in any material document table.

Hi Ramana,
Check MBSM Transaction.
If the Material document is reversed, and if their is some linkage between the Material document and its reversal document, you will get in this transaction.
generally only those material document have reversal linkage which are reversed through MBST Transaction.
Say Generated Material Document 12345 was reversed using MBST Transaction and its reversal document number is 12346. then
Check the MSEG Table with the MBLNR value 12346. You will find their is one more field 'SMBLN' which shows your original doc i.e 12345.
Just check it out in your test server.

We also have a similar requirement wherein we want to know who has changed the values in DP. Fortunately we have an additional key figure, which we are not using at the moment. We intend to write a macro wherein we can copy the key figure that is to be monitored copied in that new key figure at every exit of the planning book(exit macro). When the old value is changed, we will copy the old value in the new key figure (using an exit macro) and also generate an data base alert which will help us to capture the details of the change, that is, user id, time of change and the quantity of change.
Let me know if this suggestion suits your requirement.

My issue is we have three transports. All three were successfully transported in PRD and there were no errors. BUT when we compare table T012 in PRD to T012 DEV and T012 QAS, T012 PRD is wrong. One of the changes did not make it. How can I find out which transport affected T012? Will I be able to search down to the field affected?

It might be possible that transports deployment sequence to Production is not same as other system deployment sequence.

we need to avoid lock so we want to check if there is a row in our select statement that may cause the lock.

Avoid what locking? Writers of data in Oracle does not block readers of data in Oracle.
So an +UPDATE+ or +INSERT+ or +DELETE+ does not block or lock a +SELECT+ from happening. That simple..
If you use a +SELECT FOR UPDATE+, then yes - it needs to lock rows for updating. And a writer will only be blocking another writer when both want to write (change) the very same rows. In which case it is sensible and logic that these two need to be serialised and only one at a time can change the data. Easy enough to understand without having to have pointy ears and attended the Vulcan School of Logic.
