Hi guys,Explain how to find whether the user request is dialog or bc ...
how to find whether the user request is dialog or bc or some other wp and where we can see that ?
Hello Damodar,
You can find out that in SM50.
However one piece of advice. I have noticed that you are raising lots of questions about very basic questions. Either you new to SAP or dont know anything about SAP Basis and want to get in this area. Or else you are preparing for some interview. In either of these cases expecting solutions given at SDN are not going to be of much help. Better read yorself in SAP Help as most people do. SDN should not be overly used for such purposes. Basic questions are welcome but you want to learn SAP through SDN !!!

How to verify whether the persistence unit objects are persistent or not?
How to verify whether the persistence unit objects are persistent or not?
I have successfully configure and deploy the Employees object as a persistence unit in Oracle Coherence according to the guide of Chapter 6 of Tutorial for Oracle Coherence 3.5.
Using the RunEmployeeExample script, I have got the right results. I can see that after the cache object is updated, the database table (Employees) is also updated accordingly. The following is the output:

i have an ipod touch second gen, how can i download the facebook app if it says its not compatable with my current iOS?
i had the facebook app but i could never upgrade it and i was ok with using the outdated version but when i reset the ipod so i could gift it to a friend it obviously got rid of the app and now i cant downloaded because it says its not compatable, how can i download the version i had before i reset it?Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

How to Find whether a radiobutton is in button group or not.
I have 6 radiobuttons.
3 are added in buttongroup and rest not.
I want to find whether the clicked button is added in the buttongroup or not.
Can any one help me in finding the solution.
Thanks in advance.Hi,
AbstractButton has a method getModel that returns a ButtonModel.
If the ButtonModel is of type DefaultButtonModel you can get the ButtonGroup by invoking getGroup. The API does not state what is returned when the button does not belong to a group, but I assume it will return null.
Hope this helps

How to Find whether the instance of Oracle 9iAS is running
Dear All,
Is it possible to find out whether the instances of 9ias running,in which port, the home directory of the instance.
This is Very Urgent
Regds
Sreesolaris has a command lsof
lsof -i TCP:port
this shows the uid of the process that is running on the given port.
If you know the port, you can do
ps -ef |grep lsof -i TCP:port
Also try
ps -ef |grep java
This would give you a bunch of processes

How to find out the application server instance name?
Hi,
I installed an Oracle application server a long long while ago and completely forgot the things about the installation, including the name of the instance (I installed single instance, not cluster). Now I am trying to create a connection to the application server and I am prompted to fill in the instance name. Where in the installation can I find out the instance name?
The version of the server as displayed when the server is started:
$ ./oc4j -start
Starting OC4J from /oraInventory/j2ee/home ...
09/10/08 16:04:39 Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3.2.0) initializedThis 10.1.3.2.0 number is somewhat confusing. As I understand it, right now if you download a copy of the Application server from Oracle web site, the current version is 10.1.3.1.0.
I am also reading the installation guide now and when looking at the server starting messages on the screen, I realize that installing the server in the oraInventory directory is not quite right. Does that interfere with the correct functioning of the server? I installed it but have never tried to use it until now.
Many thanks for your help!

grep 'IASname' $ORACLE_HOME/config/ias.properties
you should also see it in the AS Control Console page.
The version of the server as displayed when the server is started:

Regarding the version numbers, this fourth digit refers to the Component-specific release number. The OAS documentation says this about it.
"This digit identifies a release level specific to a component. Different components can have different numbers in this position depending upon, for example, component patch sets or interim releases."
I am also reading the installation guide now and when looking at the server starting messages on the screen, I realize that installing the server in the oraInventory directory is not quite right. NewmanI think Oracle software should always be installed in a separate directory. I think it may also generate errors in its functioning but it will certainly create a whole lot confusion and mess in later administration and configurations.
hope that helps!

Nobody knows whats the table is for....
Actually we were working with oracle 7.3 upto 2004. On 2004 we upgraded to 9iR2. May be the DBA in that time made some mistake.... i think so....thats why all these tables are still here....
I was not in the picture during that time.
Now my question is how can i know whether this table is necessary or not. I asked the developers here they said they are not using these tables. But my manager is afraid to delete these tables.
now what should i do?Hi,
Yet another request to use my crystal ball.
We had one pc which is having oracle 9i enterprise manager configured(windows 2000) only to connect the db.
This remembers me of the Gospel of St. Luke, chapter 2, where it is stated,
'and they found the child in the manger'.
This resulted a Jewish theologian to remark: 'The manger? Well, so that must have been their own manger'
So what does 'the' db mean? The Linux one? Or a separate on Win2000?
It is quite possible to manage a Linux database using OEM on Win2000, with OMS on Win2000.
'But our server is not having enterprise manager'. Yet another riddle. Which server? There seem to be at least two.
1 Now if I drop these tables, will I be able to connect to our database using the windows2k pc through Enterprise Manager?
Yes, but only in standalone mode, and you can't use OEM alerts, and jobs anymore. You would be better off using Sqldeveloper, as OEM Sql worksheet is a nightmare.
2 That is your decision.

oemctl ping oms
will check whether you have an Oracle Management Server running.
You already seem to have the Enterprise Manager Repository, so you must have OMS running somewhere. (Why install the repository, if you don't use it)

How to find whether the output file is generated or not?
Hi,
I ran EDI 855 program for one of our customer. The program succesfully completed and it shows in the logfile that few documents got processed and few lines got processed. But the output file in the outbound directory shows the file size as zero.
Can anyone please let me know what could be the problem.
And please let me know how to check whether flatfile is generated succesfully for the request run for any customer.
Thanks in advance.
SatyaHi Venkat,
As every one have already explained other points,in standard SAP there is no provision to determine as if the sales order is intercompany or not.
But if you want you can create a user status as normal sales order and intercompany sales order. So by checking the status at table level or in order you can determine if it is Intercompany or normal sales order.
Best way is to create a different document type itself which will be exclusively used for intercompany orders. So it will be easy for reporting and tracking purpose.
Reward points if useful

How to find out the oracle level user(sid) who is updating the table?
Hi everyone,
I am creating a update trigger which is to look for the user (sid) who is updating the rows in this table. Is there any lower level dynamic view or table I can use to find out the user?
Thanks for any help.
