How to fix green screen blotches on teeth in imovie 10.0.7

There are green blotches on the individual's teeth from the green screen used.  I need to know how to fix in imovie 10.0.7.

"Did you have spinach for dinner?" ... SCNR!
And such a nice smile, 'priceless' and most probably not to be re-done, right?
sorry, to say, but that reaches the limits of lil' iMovie.
You can not manually adjust the color-key in iMovie, as you can do in FCPX, nor does it offer any 'masking' features as Motion would...
.. FCPX offers a 30d free and fully functional (no watermarks etc) trial ... but then you have to learn how to handle color-key in that pro app ... which is not a beginners task ...

  • How to fix green screen on all flash videos

Getting a green screen with audio on all flash videos, ranging from EI 11, Google Chrome, and Steam. Running windows 8.1 with all recent drivers and updates. Have tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration, using software rendering instead of gpu rendering. This has been happening for many months and I still have not been able to find a solution. Have viewed many forums and have tried many solutions with no success. Any help appreciated.

Be sure to try a Reset first
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1320
This "reboots" the iPod.  If that does not help, try doing a Restore on the iPod in iTunes (from the iPod's Summary tab).  This erases the iPod, re-installs its software, and sets it to default settings.
If that does not help, the cause is likely to be a hardware problem.

how to fix black screen. Phone still rings.

    Hello TaQuilla,
If nothing ever shows on the screen when you start it, or anything you may need to reset the phone, or restore the software. Try this first:
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that does not get the screen going, then backup your device, and restore it.

How to fix white screen of death on iPod 4g after screen replacement?

I would try to reset it before anything else.  To do this press and hold the home and power buttons until the the white screen shows the apple logo (~ 15 secs.).
If this does not work then more than likely the LCD is damaged.
btw- The white screen is common after repairs.  The reset fix works 90% of the time.

To solve most of iPhone os problems you can perform a soft reset which will not change anything inside the phone
    It'll simply remove the errors
    To do that
1.Hold power button for 5 seconds
2.without releasing power button press home button and keep both pressed till the apple logo comes up
    3.Now release both buttons
Your phone has now been reset

  • How to export green screen footage.

I recently shot on a green screen, i keyed it in after effects with keylight but want to do color correction in FINAL CUT. when i export the video it comes out with a black background instead of transparency so it doesn't allow me to composite footage over the background so i can't color correct or do anything because the clips with the black solid background are useless. how can i export the already keyed footage so that i keep the transparency for the background?????
    thanks

This thread has become a mess of confusing information. Just to clarify a few points:
1GB RAM is not really enough to run AE well. Your purchase of 4GB is a smart move.
AE manages its own RAM usage, so its very possible that it may only use 20% of available RAM, depending on the contents of your project and the amount of precomping etc that you've used. Once you have the extra RAM, enabling Multi-Processor rendering is the best way to utilize RAM during the rendering process.
The "Secret" option mentioned refers to a secret preference menu in AE, which is enabled by holding the Shift key while choosing preferences. Unless there is clear evidence that your system is running out of RAM while rendering, there's no need for you to use the Secret prefs menu.
The "3 GB switch" referred to is not relevant in your case - it applies strictly to Windows XP users.
In summary, install the extra RAM and activate multi-processor rendering to speed up your renders.
Export your keyed footage using the "Lossless with alpha" Output Module in the Render Queue. This will provide transparency info when you take the footage to FCP.
Alternately, as suggested by Mylenium, do the colour correction within AE.

  • How to use Green Screen option?

Sorry this is such a general question, but I have very limited internet access here at work (can't even access Google) and I would like to figure this out before I leave for the day so I can grab what I need on the way home.
We are making weekly comical "newscast" type videos, and we have been using PhotoBooth to make it look like we are in a news room.
I would like to stop using PhotoBooth (due to the obvious extreme limitations in video/audio quality) and use the green screen option in iMovie 09.
Would anybody be so kind as to give a brief couple of paragraphs on the best way to accomplish this?
I have seen the option pop up when inserting a clip on top of another, but which one is the footage/image to replace the green area... the original clip or the overlayed clip?
And is there a specific shade/type of green that works best? Or can I just pick up a dozen yards of general "crayola" green fabric to cover a wall?

I have tried but haven't had much luck. Although I am having a problem with Snow Leopard and iMovie right now. That may be affecting my success. Here are the instructions out of iMovie help.
To use green-screen effects to superimpose video:
Record video in front of a solid green backdrop, and then import it into iMovie.
When you record, for best results do the following:
Use a pure (highly saturated) color of green for the backdrop.
The best color of green to use is often called “chroma key green” in paint and cloth.
Make sure the subject doesn’t have any green clothing, and don’t include anything green in the shot, other than the backdrop.
If possible, use multiple lighting sources to eliminate shadows on the subject being recorded.
Include a moment at the end of the recording with the subject out of the frame. This indicates to iMovie what should be left out when the video is superimposed.
Choose iMovie > Preferences, click General, and then make sure Show Advanced Tools is selected.
In the Event Browser, select video that you recorded in front of the green backdrop.
Drag the selection directly over a clip in your project (video, solid color, or animated background clip), and release the mouse button when the cursor displays a green plus sign .
Choose Green Screen from the list of options that appears.
The green-screen clip appears with a green border around it above the video clip in your project. You can drag it to a different spot to reposition it, or drag the ends to lengthen or shorten it.
To more effectively mask areas of the green-screen clip, select the clip in your project, in the viewer click Cropped, and then drag the handles at the top of the viewer to more tightly enclose the subject of the video.
Anything outside the highlighted area in the green-screen clip is removed from the picture. Be sure not to crop out areas that the subject moves into at any point during the green-screen clip.
To produce a better-quality effect, double-click the green-screen clip in your project to open the inspector, then select “Subtract last frame.” iMovie uses information in the last frame to determine what to subtract from the finished clip.
Selecting “Subtract last frame” works only if you included a moment at the end of the green-screen footage with the subject completely out of the frame.
To watch the clip, click the Play Clip button in the viewer.

  • How to keep green screen effect in one place while moving camera?

Hello all. I have been trying to use a green screen while moving the camera in Final Cut Pro X however I am running into a problem. Basically when I move the Camera all of the effects on the green screen move with a camera. Is there a way to make them stay in one place as the camera moves from side to side? The following video shows what I am talking about more clearly.

  • 'Green Screen' Special Effects with iSight & iMovie?

I need to record a short (30 - second) movie of just me talking. I thought I would record it with my iSight camera & Quicktime.
If I use a green screen. . .can I swap in a different background in iMovie? If I can, does anyone have a good idea for a home-made green screen? (thought maybe I would just go to the art store and get a piece of green posterboard unless anyone has a better idea)
    TIA,
    Larry

    Hello Larry,
"Green screen" recording is a function that is built into my Sony camcorders. Sony calls it "superimposing." Because it is easy to use the built-in function, I use my camcorders for all my superimposed video work.
You can read about how it works on a Sony camcorder in pages 118 through 120 of this Operating Instructions manual. If you have a camcorder, yours may have the function, too, although it might have a different name if your camcorder is not a Sony.
I do not know how to do with in QuickTime Pro. If you get no better answer here and cannot find the answers in the QT Pro Tutorial or Help pages, try searching or posting this question in the QuickTime for Mac OS Forum.

  • Why don't green screen clips snap together in imovie 11?

I film hundreds of green screen videos per year. I used to use imovie09, and when dragging one green screen clip next to another they would snap together. Now that I upgraded to imovie 11, it no longer allows you to snap the clips together, you have the cut the background in between them. Is there anyway to get these green screen clips to snap together like they used to in imovie09?

Well, now I'm even more confused.  I exported my iMovie project from my Mac Book Pro to my iMac and it worked perfectly.   Then I exported the same project to my Mac Book Air and it worked fine.    But when I go back to my Mac Book Pro - green screen effect simply shows as black and non transparent.   So, I have a work around but am puzzled why my Mac Book Pro doesn't work.   All systems on updated version of Lion and all have latest version of iMovie '11.   My Mac Book Pro is a mid 2009 - 2.8 Core 2 Duo and curious if anyone else has experienced this.
