How to get a Verilog Simulator
Hi,
I am a Lamar University student. I read in few threads here that students can get a free copy of NC Verilog or VCS verilog simulator at free of cost for OpenSparc project. I searched through google for 2 days but still I am not able to find a link for University students to download this. So, I request those who know regarding this to guide me as soon as possible to get one of these simulator for my project.

as Michael wrote, the simulator tab is part of an older VC version. I asked a colleague in the past, he told me that this simulator tab was available in Visual Composer 6, but in the latest version, this tab is no longer in use. There was also a debug button in the task panel toolbar, but this button is also no longer available in the latest version.

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) Application Memory, 2) Device Memory, and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.
Application Memory -- This is the most crucial; it is the protected (not user accessible), dedicated, and fixed (in size) space that is available as the destination for the installation of applications (plus some application storage, overhead and such). You cannot touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can only install here...there is no option.
Device Memory -- This is space on your BB that you can touch to store files, pictures, media, etc. Typically, it is not terribly large, but it is available to you.
SD/Media Card Memory-- This is what it says...your SD card, for you to store files, media, pictures, etc. It can be as large as your BB OS can support...see this KB:

On some devices/OS levels, you can only see "File Free" (Options > Status), which I think is equivalent to AppMemory. On other devices, you can see all three memory usage levels (Options > Memory). Here are some guidelines to use:

Lastly, it is always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this -- those leave it to the app to decide what to do...and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select "Close" or "Exit"...that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically -- BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages)...but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser...if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure...some as frequently as once per day. Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.

Easy Custom device tool - how to get actual waveforms or data from a channel
I want to use a custom device to do the simulation for my system, but I am not sure how to get channel data to it? I am using a cRio 9024, and 6 modules for signal input and signal output. I did the walk through, but it is not connecting to channel data. Any thoughts?

You would want to include logic to communicate with your cRIO in the Execute VI - you don't need to add anything to the Channel Data or System Data controls to get the data into your custom device. If you're using the Scan Engine, this would mean just dragging and dropping Scan Engine IO variables into the Execute VI and then operating on the data you read out of them. Now, if you want to pass data out of the custom device to other parts of VeriStand, you would need to add items to Channel Data for each value you want to pass out of the custom device.
When I mentioned running your code in LabVIEW, the idea I was trying to get at is creating a separate test project to verify that the logic you have implemented in your Execute VI works apart from the custom device architecture. Now that I've had a chance to take a look at your code, I see that the logic to communicate with the cRIO hasn't been implemented yet. As such, that original suggestion doesn't make sense - sorry for the confusion.
Also, just so you're aware, you'll need to modify your custom device project to allow the custom device to be compiled for a VxWorks target. To do so, add your cRIO to the project as a new target and then copy all of your custom device files to the cRIO controller. You'll also need to make some modifications to the build specification to get everything to compile correctly.
Finally, I also notice that in your init VI, you don't pass a file path to the Open/Create/Replace file VI, which will likely cause some problems when you try to run the device.

How to get the values from table SKB1 R/3 to SRM
Hi Gurus,
My requirement is to get all the values from the table SKB1 to SRM (i.e. in to an internal table) for doing some validation(G/L account XXXXXX requires an assignment to a CO objectXXXXXX.)
Like wise I have many tables for doing validation in SRM
Help me how to get this, suggest me any Function module with sample code.
OR
Any Standard FM which will give all the values of the fields in the table SKB1 when I pass the key fields G/L account & company code alone so that I can improve the performance.

Every webdynpro component has a global controller called the component controller which is visible to all other controllers within the component.So whenever you want to share some data in between 2 different views you can just make it a point to use the component controller's context for the same. For your requirement (within your popups view context) you will have have to copy the component controllers context to your view. You then will have to (programmatically) fill this context with your desired data in this popup view. You can then be able to read this context from whichever view you want. I hope that this would have made it clear for you. Am also giving you an [example|http://****************/Tutorials/WebDynproABAP/Modalbox/page1.htm] which you can go through which would give you a perfect understanding of all this. In this example the user has an input field in the main view. The user enters a customer number & presses on a pushbutton. The corresponding sales orders are then displayed in a popup window for the user. The user can then select any sales order & press on a button in the popup. These values would then get copied to the table in the main view.

I had an icloud account in 2009. We set it up as a family plan because my family had just changed from PC to Mac. We never used it and let the plan expire in 2010. My ical will not sync with my new iphone because it is linked to the family plan account that no longer exist. Because I don't remember my password, I tried resetting it. It says the personal information I entered is incorrect, but I know the information is correct...It's my birthday it asks for! Does anyone know how to get that account off of my mac without the account existing?
You were a MobileMe (not iCloud) subscriber in 2009 and this service has been terminated. However the login is an Apple ID and this never expires. What is your operating system? Do you have a MobileMe icon in System Preferences? - if so you should be able to sign out in it, but you may not have an iCloud icon to let you create an iCloud account, though you can do so if your iPhone has iOS 5 or above.
If you are getting login requests or other irritations from your MobileMe account you can go to (user)/Library/Preferences/ByHost and delete all .plist files beginning with com.apple.DotMac or com.apple.idisk, then reboot.
The minimum requirement for iCloud to let you sync your data is 10.7.5 though you can sync through iTunes (except with Mavericks). -

To get only the changed data in the ALV grid of a WD, you need to capture the "ON_DATA_CHECK" of the ALV grid.
To this please do the following in the ALV initialization of the ALV table settings :
lr_table_settings->set_data_check(
IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CELL_EVENT ).
You may also do this:
lr_table_settings->set_data_check( IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CHECK_EVENT)
The above two ways would depend on when do you need to check for the changed data. If you want to check the data as soon as it is entered, then use the first method. Else, use the second method.
You need to register an EVENT HANDLER for this event.(You may do this in your VIEW or Component Controller).
In this Event handler, you would find an importing parameter R_PARAM which is a ref type of IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_DATA_CHECK.
The attribute T_MODIFIED_CELLS of this interface IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_DATA_CHECK will contain the modified cells of the ALV with the old & new values. -

How to get flagged messages in to tasks or alternatively view another users to do list.
If someone could just help me out I would be extremely appreciative.
2 of us work in one mail box together called admin. when one of us is away we like to use the flags to create follow ups for each other on certain email items.
Firstly, I can only see my main accounts to do list
Secondly, when I flag a contact / message / anything in fact, in any mailbox it only appears in their respective to do lists and not in their tasks. Thus I cannot see what I have flagged for them at a glance as I can not find a way to view other peoples
to do list. i.e. neither of us can see any of the flags in the shared mailbox we use (admin) unless we log in under a different profile, which is troublesome as it takes way to long to switch back and forth.
I presently use colour categories to delegate who is currently in charge of answering certain emails and use custom flags to note what we are waiting for in particular to a certain email and then mark a tick when it has been dealt with. Simple system but
not currently working in full due to the follow up flags not appearing in tasks.
This also affects my task synching on my mobile where once again it only shows what is in tasks... i.e stuff I have physically typed in outlook rather than flagged content; mails, contacts etc.
Any ideas how to get the follow up flags appearing in tasks or an ability to see other peoples to do lists... the first is more preferable but I will take what I can.

WoodyJust add the 'admin' mailbox as additional account in Outlook, as opposed to additional mailbox (i.e. don't add it from Accounts Settings -> More settings -> Advanced, but from File -> Add account instead).
It will then show flagged items and tasks from all accounts in the 'To-do' list.
