if you're using flash.filesystem.FileReference - then it is run in black box - except of filename, size and creation data (and few other properties available after some operation succeeded). This is part of security features in Flash runtime (described in header section):

This for example implies that user can download a content to local machine - but that content cannot be loaded back into Flash runtime. For this you would need either Air runtime flash.filesystem.File:

(so you would created Air runtime based application: desktop or mobile but not web, even as standalone project) or you would need one of 3rd party tools that add file access/file information features to standard Flash runtime applications converted to standalone native applications.

Dear all,
I am working on an app where I want to (among others) play sound files from the local file system.
I have added a few mp3 files into my .ipa file.
With a small file browser in my app I can select any one of them which returns me a File object.
I then use this File object to do a URLRequest to load the sound:

sound = new Sound();
sound.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, soundLoadError);
sound.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, soundLoaded);

It works in flash, but fails on the iPAD. Everytime I try to load, I get a IOErrorEvent with error code Error #2032
When I replace new URLRequest(file.nativePath) with URLRequest("http://.../testfile.mp3"), everything works fine!
Any help appreciated.
Is this a matter of Security settings? Can I change those?
Something to do with Sandboxing (whatever that is)?
or something to do with cross-domain access?
I have been looking around for days now and any help would be appreciated!

this was something closer to that paragraph for "nativePath":
Some Flex APIs, such as the source property of the SWFLoader class, use a URL (the url property of a File object), not a native path (the nativePath property).

but that is not exactly what I've read (maybe that was A-blog or post on someone from A-team on his personal blog or post on stackoverflow).
(myself I'm using and providing solutions for paths using FILE protocol - file URI schemes - mostly whenever I can and where it is supported)

How do I display Canvas Graphic image (Not Iconic button) from jar file

Hi all,
I am currently using Forms 10g.
I have gone through the tutorials on how to add Button Icons into Jar files for web enables forms .....so far so good
This however does not explain what I actually want to do... since "graphic images are by nature embeded in the for rather than referenced ......so here goes ..
I have a forms 10g application where all the individual form modules/canvases display a big banner (covering top 20% of the screen). This was done by importing the image straight unto the content canvases. As you know this now becomes a "graphic Image" now embeded(& not referenced by file name) on the canvas. Also bear in mind that this is actually different from an "Image Item" which is a block object.
I dont know if this is possible, but what steps do i follow to make the image part of a jar file as opposed to my current situation. Please let me know if possible or not so I stop waisting development time looking for answers :)
Another question is how do i make this jar file a library object so that we can vary the image as we wish
NB: one other trick which i can think of is to create a giant push button across the screen to display the image and then stick it in a jar file !

I don't know about embedded images imported in from the builder, but there is a way to use READ_IMAGE_FILE into a BLOCK.IMAGE_ITEM where the images are all in a jar file stored on the OAS.

Get-ChildItem directory only (not full path) on error output

I currently use the snippet below to check for folder permissions, it outputs a CSV file which details Category, Reason and TargetName. When I open my error.csv file I see the 3 columns being populated, but how can I get a 4th column with the directory name
as well? TargetName outputs the complete path to the folder, I want to also include the directory name in the CSV.
$Path = "C:\test"
$errors=@()
get-childitem -recurse $Path -ea silentlycontinue -ErrorVariable +errors | Out-Null
$errors | select -expand categoryinfo | select category,reason,targetname | export-csv -NoTypeInformation -Delimiter “,” .\error.csv
Any help would be appreciated. At this point I dont think getting the directory name only is feasible with my method. I've tried many exampled but cant seem to get it. As easy as it may sound.

It works but I'm still receiving the full path to the directory. How can I get only the directory name?
You cannot use $errors. It is owned by the system and will give you issues.
If you want a folder name from a full path just use Split-Path
I took the + out for a reason. It was not a mistake and I changed the name of the variable for a reason. The custom error variable will fill with all errors and will be created new each time this is run. Try it without changing it incorrectly until
you understand what is happening. Don't just blindly do things because it feels good or because you saw a friend do it.

Cant get rid of repeating future events. I deleted the calendar with these events but now I still have these "ghost" events showing up!! How to get rid of these and not have forever!! Welcome to the Support Communities! There are two things I can think of to keep your Stepdad's information separate from yours on the computer and the iPad. On the computer, he should have his own administrative account, and on the iPad he needs his own Apple ID for iTunes and iCloud services. Here is some basic information to get started. I loaded 4 captured images into SCCM via the Add Operating System Image Wizard 2 months ago.
I have since captured another image to the same location (which is the SCCM site server) and tried to add it to the server.
I am getting error

Win 2003 SP2 - SCCM2007 SP2 R2 single site with MDT2010 intergrated but can not get a MDT2010 TS Captured WIM to import into SCCM OS Images "Invalid WIM". allso i tried to mount the MDT WIM image without luck (Invalid Image). however a SCCM TS
will Capture and I can Import it into OS Images. it seems like something is amiss with MDT or WAIK possibly.

This module would make a connection with the HTML page. The HTML page contains the coding for the Form with various elements. The form may be a simple form with one or two fields or a complex one like the form for registering for a new Bank Account or new email account.
The module will first connect through the HTML page and will fetch the HTML code into a Text File so that the code can be further processed.
