Uncheck the ringtones in your sync options in iTunes and apply, check them again and apply once more.

Did you download through the computer or directly onto the iPhone?
If it was direct on the iPhone-did you transfer it to iTunes by using "transfer purchases"?
If it is not showing up in iTunes-you did not back it up in iTunes and will have to repurchase it. -
My MacBook Pro HD crashed. It is all up and runmning except for one issue. I have about 200 songs on my iPhone but have only gotton 53 back on my laptop from my iPhone and those are the songs I purchased via iTunes. How do I get the rest of the songs from my iPhone back onto my HD.

I would do a transfer of purchases from the phone and not sync. If you sync then it will want to start over and sync music that is on the MacBook Pro. If you want to transfer the music, check out the article below that will give you multiple options on how to move. I have also provided on how to sync with multiple computers.

I have a new iphone and want to purchase ringtones from itunes. Itunes is asking answers for security questions I did not set up and I can't answer them. How do I get past this to be able to purchase. I can purchase songs on my MAC and sync but itunes doesn't give the option to purchase ringtones on the MAC, just the iphone.
If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I bought songs on itunes through my iphone not too long ago. When I went to plug my iphone into my computer to sync, itunes asked me to restore my phone. I backed my phone up, but now i cannot find the songs i purchased through my phone. I've looked for the songs in the itunes store, but it said that i had not purchased any of the songs.How do i get back the songs?

If it's an ibook and it's still in the store then you should be able to re-download it via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app. If it's an audiobook then they are currently a one-time only download - if you haven't got a copy of it on your computer or on a backup for re-syncing then if it's still in the store you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

just a minute ago i connected my iphone to itunes so that i could transfer some albums i've purchased recently. it started it's usual synching process and once it was finished i found i'd lost more than a few recently purchased albums. not sure why or anything but i want them back!! how do i do so? please help!!
You don't. You buy one and only one download. it is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Use you backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases -

Go back to the iTunes Store. Tap More at the bottom right. Tap Tones on the next page. Find the ringtone you want and buy it.

Hi. We have two iphones and one Itunes account. How do back up each one without getting the others contacts and without syncing each phone to each other?
Welcome to the Apple community.
Ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, providing you with your own contacts, calendars etc, not doing so will result in exactly what you have experienced. The contacts have likely been lost due to the options you have chosen at the login stage on each device.
Unless you have the missing contacts in a backup file, they won't be recoverable unfortunately. You can add them manually to the contracts that already exist and continue to share the iCloud account if you wish, but I suggest that you each have your own iCloud account.
Note, you can each have your own iCloud account, but continue to share an iTunes account for purchases of apps, books, music, TV shows etc etc. -
I already have an itunes account on my laptop but have been setup on a mac and have songs that have not been purchased from the itunes store, I cannot get the songs from my iPhone onto my itunes account on the mac. how can I do this?
You copy them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.

You would have to create the ringtones.

I've read the 'How to re-download' article but it doesn't address my problem. They just aren't showing either as purchased or downloaded on my iPhone...but if I connect my iPhone to my PC and select Tones from the dropdown list, they are all there. How can I get them to show on my phone or why don't they show...??
I tried to re-download one of them and I got a message saying..."you've purchased this before, do you want to purchase again?"
does anyone have an answers...??When you look at your iPhone, are you looking in the Music app or in the iTunes app? Be sure you are looking in the Music app, and look in the Songs category. If your songs are not here, you may want to try syncing your information again through iTunes. To do this, uncheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync in the bottom right corner of iTunes, and then recheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync again.
