After 10.7.2 my login and lock screen shows option of guest account along with the admin account ... how can i get rid of this..

Even when the Guest Account / Access is disabled, the login option / and lock screen, still have a guest login.
This is because in Preferences/ Security & Privacy/General the bottom item is turned on.
Turn on: Disable restarting to Safari when screen is locked

I have restored to factory with no luck. is there a memory cleaner or process to eliminate what is not needed in Other? I know some files there are settings, and such but not 24+ GB worth is such of stuff.

       I have a hierarchy used for cost center in the report, when displaying cost center, its compound 'controlling area' is also displaying. such as for a node, its key value is 'CM01FIAC_FR_EA', in wich 'CM01' is for controlling area. I am trying to remove controlling area from display of cost center.
       for cost center, I have removed its compound from displaying by adding controlling area into row and setting it as 'no display', but for nodes of cost center hierarchy, compounds are still ther. please tell me how to get rid of compound information from nodes?

      cost center is displayed in hierarchy, I have remove compound from leaf of hierarchy, but compound is still there in nodes. also eventhough I set suppress result for controlling area, its result is still in the report. so you reference does not resolve my problem.

To delete a mail account in Mail, open Mail, and go to Mail menu > Preferences > Accounts. Then, select the account you want to remove and press the - button.

OK then, now v7sp03 for microsoft has hit the shelves, you can change the logo !!!
It is quite easy.
Have the logo file ready in either BMP, GIF or JPG format.
Put it in your "Server Install -> DataWebFolders[Appset]" folder (so where you keep your files).
In ApplicationSet parameters, add the parameter COMPANY_LOGO and in the options type the name of the file you just put on the server.
Now if you restart BPC for Excel, the second excel page that pops up should be showing your new logo or graphic (mine did).
The use of the logo has been documented in the admin manual -> working with appset parameters
Some tips.
I wanted not to clutter the filesystem so i put my logo in the appsetpublications folder and added the path accordingly in the parameter (so now it reads appsetpublicationslogoname.jpg instead of just logoname.jpg).
If you do not supply a name (only the parameter), your second Excel window (normally holding the graphic) will not appear. That could be an alternative too if you find that whole thing annoying.

I'm very new to the Mac world so pardon this noob question. But how can I control what user accounts are visible on the login screen on OS X? I've already went into the System Preference, User Accounts and set the Guest account to disabled. However this account is still on the logon screen when I reboot the Mac! Unfortunately CleanMyMac is as harmful, if not moreso, than MacCleanse. These third party cleaning apps are considered 'crapware' and can harm your system beyond repair. If you cannot uninstall them completely, as appears, it may pay to backup your data, reinstall avericks and migrate your important data back. You can try posting an etrecheck report and perhaps someone can help narrow down what you need to trash from all the areas that these programs have infected.

I am new to the Z10 and i was wondering if i could remove the unread count or even the new mail icon from the lock screen.
On the old 9780, i was able to change the notification in a manner that only signaled a new email arrive but without the number.
This is my work email and when i am out of the office i don't want to be greeted with the number of emails that accumulated in my inbox while i dared to stop working..
I wouldn't mind removing the new mail icon completly if that the only valid option..

How to get rid of old folders from Network window?

I'm not sure if this is a network question or a Finder question ...
In my Network window are a bunch of old folders, left over from a couple of MS Windows machines that I touched at some point but will never meet again. I can't delete them. Their permissions are set to read-only. I tried to give myself delete permissions with chmod but was told it was a read-only file system. So how do I get rid of these old items?

I have more information which my be helpful. I think the directories which are created in /Network are in part originated from a list of previous workgroups.
Open Directory Access, authenticate, then select SMB/CIFS and click Configure... . The top menu displays a list of workgroups. What I seem to get is a list of all the workgroups I've ever been connected to and this list largely corresponds with the directories created in /Network. Sadly, you can't delete these workgroups from Directory Access.
More intriguingly, the directories go away when I'm not connected to a network so somewhere in the system there is a list of workgroups stored away. The only problem is where? I heven't been able to determine this yet.
Also, I think workgroups and domains may be interchangeable here.
