How to get rid of song on phone?

this sounds like the dumbest question, but I can't figure out how to get rid of a certain song on my phone. It pops up on shuffle all the time, and I know I must have added it to a playlist at some point.
But I have a bunch of long playlists and I cannot find it in any of them!
How can I tell which playlist a certain song is on?

OK -- so I actually called AppleCare about this. I went through 30 minutes on the phone with the entry-level guy, and he couldn't help. He actually wanted me to check 'manually manage music" and have iTunes wipe my phone, then I was going to have to reselect all my music! And that would not have even fixed the problem, I know. He was clueless but thankfully escalated me to a dude who solved this in 30 seconds.
I had to delete the song *from* the phone. Went to the Music App, under More->Purchased, and swiped left on the song and then could delete it.
So, because I bought the song on the phone, and it wasn't in a playlist, I was not able to remove it from iTunes. I had to do it on the phone.

How to get rid of songs in my ipad

I bought several albums from iTunes store and they were downloaded to my computer, and in same time to my iPad, problem is that they are now twice in my iPad; one version does play and is alright, the other version of the same song, is basically empty and does not play
I tried to deactivate automatic download from store on my comp and ipad and delete purchases on comp, then I run sync and a good copies disapiered but this horrible empty songs stayed there, how can I can rid of them, and advice?

You don't say whether you are on PC or Mac. For Mac there are these two programs which might help (I havn't tried either) :

There are probably similar programs for PCs, but I don't know what they are. On a PC you can hold the shift key and do File > Display Exact Duplicates (without the shift they may not be exact matches) - if one of each duplicate pair has the same date added then you can sort by that and then delete those with (or without) that date.

I deleted from my library lots of songs and then deleted them when they were in trash can, but then when I later look at my library it's still there for some reason?
I feel bad because I spent a lot of time picking out and deleting those files.

Just open iTunes and select Player List ... select the song(s) you don't like anymore and ... right click and select DELECTE.

Like whenever I want to delete a song from my phone, it shows the icloud sign. When I shuffle the music, it will still play the song. I just want to get rid of them off my phone so it won't play it ever again. I have ios 7.0.4. I know in ios 6 when you delete a song, it goes away from your library. How do I get rid of songs on ios 7 and not keep playing them?

I think there must be a bug somewhere. Some songs I can delete and they disappear. But none of my attempts to remove the Justin Timberlake song from Apple's 12 days of gifts have gotten me very far. I can 'delete' it so that it is listed as needing to be downloaded again. But it seems to be just marked as deleted. If I turn off 'Show all music' in my Settings, the song remains there, but no longer has the cloud icon beside it, but also will not swipe to show the delete button. If I turn 'Show all music' back on, the cloud icon reappears. Regardless the song will play, even in airplane mode. So it is clearly still on my iPad.
I have tried resetting my iPad - changes nothing. Apple seems determined that we keep this song!
Also, since I attempted to delete the song immediately after it downloaded, it doesn't appear on my iMac iTunes synch page. So I can't try to get rid of it that way.

Settings/ Music/ Show All Music/ OFF
There is a parallel setting in Settings/ Videos/ which also includes Videos in the cloud, as well as Settings/ iTunes & App Store/ where you can set both Music and Video preferences. But you only need to change a setting in one location.

The banner usually indicates that the memo is "Paused." If you go back into voice memos, touch the word "Done" beside the big red pause button, give it a name, then it will show in a list. Touch the memo in the list then touch the trash can icon that should appear.

You can't. That's the new security feature of iOS7 that users (and others) requested to prevent stolen devices from being restored by theives and reused. Contact the "store" you purchased your phone from and see what they say.

Try to go to Settings and then Store. Tap to your Apple ID and select View Apple ID. Now choose to check your payment information and when you're done tap Done. I had to rewrite my three digit code of the credit card and now it works.
Oh, I also activated Genius for Apps but I don't think it makes any difference.

I posted a fix for this temporary issue earlier but here it is in short:
The memory "hog" that is "others" seems to be the OS as it's installing. It seems to want more than 12GB and you may get stuck at the point where iTunes tries to load everything back on and the iPhone has run out of space. What you need to to is un-check the "sync" box at the apps, music, podcasts and other sections, then click the button to sync iTunes with iPhone. This will result in iTunes deleting all the data it restored, but you'll put it back later. Once you caused the deletion of most of the data, iOS5 will resume installing and then "magically" shrink to less than 1GB. Then you can place check marks back in the boxes and re-sync all your apps and other data. You will have plenty or memory left.
I followed the above procedure and my iPhone works perfectly.

You have enabled the TTY function. To turn it off, go to Settings - Phone - TTY = Off.

Hi a while ago I bought a 160 GB IPOD and it works fine ... There is just one annoying thing : I only use it for playing music and it put as much information as possible on it via iTunes... now when I play my iPod, there is this annoying illustration (a picture of a music note) that takes half of the screen : in many occasions : I can't even read the whole name of the artist...
