I have a question about table:After clicking the cell of a table, the cell is into the edit status. How to know the row number and column number of the cell, when I click a button?

How to get the rendered value of a cell in a table
Hi All
I am using a DateCellRenderer to display the date in a particular cell in the format "MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm" instead of the long date format. My proble is that when I try to retrieve the value using table.getModel().getValueAt(row, column), it returns the value in the long date format instead of the format "MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm".
Is there anyway to get the actual rendered value of this cell.
RahulThe value that is returned from the model is the actual Date object. If you want to format that Date object into a string like it is rendered, then just create a date formatter using the same pattern to output it. Trying to force the renderer to render the string seems like you are pounding a nail in with a bowling ball. Yes, it will work... but why are you doing it. :-) And you are forced to make assumptions about how the renderer works... is a label, etc.
Seems to me it would be far more clear to staticly define the pattern you are using for formatting dates. Use that pattern string in your renderer, and use it for creating another date formatter for your other tasks. Update it once to modify all uses. Remember that date formatters are not thread safe, and should not be shared unless you are very careful. So share the pattern, not the formatter. -

I use iPhoto and want to know how to get the 'key photo' i select on my McBook Pro to be the same one that gets used on my iPhone 5s when i sync. i also want the events to appear on the iPhone in the same order i have them on my macbook. any ideas there too?

How to get the position of the stem in control valve using slider control in the front panel
I have created a calibration program for a control valve. Signal (4-20mA) is generated from labview using slider contorl which is given to the valve via DAQ(module 9265) and again the feedback signal from the valve is acquired using DAQ(module 9203).. . There is an input ISO/ISC(Increasing signal to open/ Increasing signal to close) in the front panel.
ISO would set the output to increase from (4-20)mA further opening the valve

When reading this post, that is what came to mind... So let's see if both RavensFan & I are trying to understand the same thing... Are you saying that the position of the stem is linear (or scaled) to the amount of current sent to it? Meaning a 4mA signal would move it a certain distance, and 10mA would move another given / known distance? Or are you saying that it is calibrated so that a 20mA signal for a certain duration (ms) would move it a given distance? So the scale would be time and not current unless a lookup table is used to adjust the time duration based on the current being drawn...
It's just that I am not familiar with solenoid / drive devices that related to current.. To voltage, yes. To time, yes.. To current, I'm simply saying that I am not familiar with that. Can you tell us more about this stem (mfg / model designation)? -

I'm not able to get the label of the selected item in a selectOneMenu. The code I use to fill it is:

How to get the display value of selected item in list box?
I have a page with an HtmlSelectOneListbox that is filled with an ArrayList of SelectItem objects.
The SelectItem objects contain a Key and Value. The Value is displayed in the ListBox.
The value parameter of the listbox is bound to a bean property which is called selectedListItem.
The bean property selectedListItem contains the Key of the SelectItem that is selected.
How do I obtain the Value of the selectedListItem?
I need to be able to get the Value field that is displayed, not just the Key to the item that is displayed.

I want to use the selected area in a automation plugin. In my case, the area is rectangle. i can't get the top,left,bottom and right position.
Is there anyone can help me?I'm petty you sure can extract the details you want using a script. I think the method is called Selection Bounds, and it return an array of the unitValue of the rectangle.
If you look at the scriptlistener code for creating a rectangle, it does record the data you want. So you should be able to extract it using Javascript, Apple Script or VB
