How to get .Xap file for windows(8.1) app in visual studio 2013

Hi ,
I am creating an app that supports for windows tablet using visual studio 2013.For windows Phone in bin folder i can see ProjectName.xap file these file can be submitted to store.But I could not see xap file for windows apps in visual stuido.What file
I should use to upload my project to store.

Additionally, xap extension only for Windows Phone Silverlight also some other Silverlight project.

it is because that System.Net.Sockets is not available in Windows Phone Runtime app, we have to use the
Windows.Networking.Sockets for instead, for more information, please try to refer to:

For others exceptions, since I do not have your code, it will be hard to tell. But although WPF/Windows Phone/Windows Store are all XAML-based platforms, they still have a lot of difference among them. Some API which are available in the WPF

Generally, I know that when we set the theme as "Windows Classic" theme on the Windows 7 and then start two VS windows, it will show an active VS window like the following screen shot.

How to make installer file for windows?

Hi,
I want to make a installer file for auto installing the ssl certificate. My folder contains following files:
1. importpfx.exe
2. Main.java
3. Main.class
4. TestCertificate.p12
I want to bundle above files into a single setup file.How should it be done?

If you want to make an installer file for windows, i think below link is suitable for your requirement. I never tried this approach of creating the installer file of java applications. But while reading the description of it, i thought that it may suits to your requirement.

Cannot install Selenium Components for Cross Browser Testing extension from Visual Studio 2013

I am having some issues with installing Selenium Components for Cross Browser testing. I keep getting this error everytime. Yes, Visual Studio 2013 has been registered with a product key. However, I cannot seem to bypass this error. I tried to install
from http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/11cfc881-f8c9-4f96-b303-a2780156628d and from Tools->Extensions and Updates from Visual Studio 2013. It just does not work. I have a copy of Visual Studio 2013. Yes, I already have Visual Studio
2012 Ultimate and Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate installed on my machine. What am I missing?

How to get plugin file for After Effects CC 2014 (just bought creative cloud)

I just bought Creative Cloud, installed it, and then went to the Adobe site to install After Effects, since I couldn't find a way to do this on the CC menu. I have Mac OSx. I downloaded the After Effects CC 2014 app and it installed it onto my desktop. So when I go to applications>adobe there is no After Effects file and no plugins. And in the menu within After Effects there is no listing of the Effects & presets. I tried searching various things like "curves" and nothing showed up except for "contents"......any idea on how to solve this?

If you are telling us that you could not find After Effects in the Creative Cloud app then your system does not meet the minimum system requirements. If you somehow found a disk image and managed to run it and it gave you the option to choose Desktop when installing then you probably don't have a light copy of CC 2014, because it should only be installed using the CC app. Mac OSx tells us nothing. You could be on Lion, or Leopard, or Mountain Lion or even something else.
Tell us more about your system, show us what you get when and if you get AE to launch (sounds like you're looking inside the disk image for an app and it's not there), and give us the exact steps or error messages that you are seeing when you try and launch AE. BTW, plug-ins are only accessible from inside the timeline or the comp window when the App is running.

How to get needed files for a PCI-5124 after a computer upgrade

A LabView program that uses a high-speed digitizer PCI-5124 (software P/N 500783T-00 version 2.8.1) was written under LabView 7. The computer was replaced with a new one with LabView 8.2. We installed the digitizer board in the new computer and installed the NI-SCOPE software. The program no longer works. Upon trying to load it several windows that ask us to "Find the VI Named 'niScope Close.vi'" and similar messages come up. Does this mean we have not loaded everything needed from the CD or is there some other action we need to have taken?

Labview cannot find the file called 'niScope Close.vi' and probably all other associated files that were in the original location (original PC).
Have you installed all the files for the scope card? Does the file exist on the PC? (do a search).
If you find the file, then you can select it when the VI is being loaded.
The file may have been written by someone at (or for) your company, so you may want to copy them from the original PC.

I Have a Lenovo G470 laptop which previously came with Genuine Windows 7 Home Basic. But Once My OS was corrupted and I take my laptop to Lenovo Service Center, they installed Windows 7 Home Premium In my laptop. I never faced any Activation Issue after that.
Few days ago my laptop was again corrupted and I Downloaded Windows 7 Home Premium ISO and burned it in a DVD and had a clean installation in my laptop, but this time Activation Issue occurred. I tried to get help from Microsoft technical support, they told me to ask for Installation media from Lenovo. When I contacted Lenovo technical support they told me that they do not provide any installation media. They charge a amount of 850 and also formats all data on HDD.
How they Succeed to activate Windows 7 Home Premium OS in a Windows 7 Home Basic base laptop without any Activation Issues.
Why Lenovo Don't Provide Installation Media when I am having a Valid Product Key?

As Jason pointed out, they can be extracted, I believe this can be done with 7zip also... Or you can just install one M620 from scratch, install the Dell drivers and then use this tool:

I am trying to remotely develop apps
with Visual Studio 2013. In the option What SharePoint site do you want to use for debugging your App? i put the url
of developer site.
First of all, i had to choose if the apps will be SharePoint-hosted or Provider-hosted apps. Based on http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/fp142379(v=office.15).aspx and http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/fp142381(v=office.15).aspx,
i decided to followed SharePoint-hosted because is the only type that applies to SharePoint 2013 Foundation.
I followed the steps of http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/fp142379(v=office.15).aspx, which is the quide for How to:Create a basic SharePoint-hosted app. In Step 10 for deploy my app i get the following error:
Error occurred in deployment step 'Install app for SharePoint': Failed to install app for SharePoint. Please see the output window for details.
What is the problem?
Also, the visual studio need to be installed on the server where sharepoint was installed?
Moreover, do I need app catalog for testing and deploy apps?

According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about creating app.
Per my knowledge, the issue is caused that you don’t configure the app catalog URLs from the central administration.
It means that we should create an App site catalog site collection to hold our Apps.
