How to handle rpc/encoded style messages using BizTalk?

I am integrating with a lot of services and one of our customers has a service with rpc/encoded style
I could consume and generate schema from their wsdl file via BizTalk consume WCF wizard.
Once I am trying to call the service with request message that generated from the schema, it is giving an error that can not desterilize the first element of the message.
No Deserializer found to deserialize a 'FieldName' using encoding style 'null'
I compared the stub xml request message from SaopUI and I noticed that the xml expecting the data type with the element like this .
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:wsb="WSBanka">
<soapenv:Header/>
<soapenv:Body>
<wsb:bnkBorcsorgulama soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
<sozlesmeNo xsi:type="xsd:string">?</sozlesmeNo>
<bankaKodu xsi:type="xsd:string">?</bankaKodu>
<anahtar xsi:type="xsd:string">?</anahtar>
</wsb:bnkBorcsorgulama>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
On the other hand, I got the request of the message from Fiddler using the BizTalk , and the generate xml of the BizTalk schema without the data type.
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:wsb="WSBanka">
<soapenv:Header/>
<soapenv:Body>
<wsb:bnkBorcsorgulama>
<sozlesmeNo>?</sozlesmeNo>
<bankaKodu>?</bankaKodu>
<anahtar>?</anahtar>
</wsb:bnkBorcsorgulama>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
In SoapUi, if I remove a datatype from the message, I will get same error from the BizTalk request.
I read some articles that rpc/encoded style are not supported but I am not sure and these articles are not clear.
I also read that it was supported with Soap adapter but now it is deprecated.
So, Is there any one has an experience in rpc/encoded style messages and how to handle these message in BizTalk or is there any work around to handle these messages?
Your inputs really appreciate it.

  • How to handle system errors in XI using BPM? please help!

    Hi Experts,
         I have a requirement where I have to handle system errors. For example when I am making RFC call using RFC adapter if the remote destination is down then I have create a understandable error message and store it in another SAP table.
    How to handle it? I am using BPM. I can see that there is "Exceptions" in the send step. How to use this?
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi Gopalkrishna,
    In this case whenever you get Mapping Exception , you can raise an Exception with the help of BPM and you can send the status to the RFC. But with the help of BPM.
    For a Simple case refer:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/33/4a773f12f14a18e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    If you want you can do it without a BPM
    and throw an exception in case any of the values is missing:
    have a look at this weblog on how to throw exceptions
    in a nice way:

    Also just go through <a href="/people/sap.user72/blog/2005/02/23/raising-exceptions-in-sap-xi-mapping Exceptions in SAP XI Mapping</a> and see if it helps you solve the problem.

  • RPC/encoded style

    Hi Experts,
    I have read it in some forum thread stating that, we can't use RPC/encoded style in XI. Even if we get RPC style wsdl files from other platforms we have to first convert it into Document style to access XI.
    Question:
    When we create wsdl thro' XI also, it automatically creates with document style. Do we have any option to create a wsdl file with RPC style? If it is not possible with XI then, is there any other way to create RPC style wsdl file for the XI service.
    Regards
    Sara

    Yes its possible,

  • How to handle "Memory Low" warning message?

    Recently users have been getting a warning message when they log on: "Memory low.  Leave the transaction before taking a break."  When we look at SM50 the user has a status of "On Hold" and the reason column says "PRIV".  We are on ECC 6.0 (since January 2010) and V7R1 (March 2011).
    Usually the message is received as soon as the user logs on so it is not like it is related to a particular program.  We can go weeks without any reported instance of the message so it is not a regular occurrence.  Fortunately there does not seem to be any other symptom other than getting the message.
    I have seen a post on an SAP forum that said to adjust the instance profile with these parameters:
    rdisp/max_priv_time
    rdisp/wppriv_max_no
    I do not have any entries for this now and am not sure what the values should be.
    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this on an AS/400?  Thanks in advance.
    Alan

    Hi Alan,
    what 1024 ???
    then we definetely do NOT need as4/MAXSHR64 !
    I would normally at least go for em/initial_size_MB = 8000 - as you are having issues right now ...
    Or is this a small DEV-system ?
    then 4000 might be sufficient ...
    (the 4096 is just crap - make it simple and use e.g. 4000 then ...)

  • Can SAP handle RPC/encoded WSDLs

    I am not sure whether this is the right forum for this question, but i'll give it a try:
    I have a WSDL file (web service decription) from a 3rd party tool, which is RPC/encoded, and I tried to generated an ABAP proxy class (SAP Basis 7.01). During the generation I get a couple of different errors, and the one that bothers me most is
    "incorrect value for attribute use: "encoded"".
    When I replace all occurrences of "use="encoded"" with "use="literal"", then the proxy generation will work, but in this case, the web service call will not work anymore (probably because the encoded response from the webservice cannot be read by the proxy class).
    What can I do?
    Any hints are welcome.

    Hi,
    It seems only RPC with literal will be supported in future.
    Quote from wiki Please see this:
    "Some of these combinations are rarely used in practice, such as document/encoded. In general, the literal use is gaining importance, and as far as RPC/encoded is concerned, the Web Services Interoperability Organization (WS-I) in its Basic Profile Version 1.0a of August 2003 ruled out the use of SOAP encoding with web services. Document/literal and RPC/literal will be the only allowed style/use combinations in the future."

  • How to create RPC encoded wsdl for the bpel project created in jdeveloper?

    Hi,
    I have to create a bpel project in jdeveloper with the wsdl of the project in rpc encoded format. By default when we create a bpel project in jdeveloper it creates a wsdl file of document literal format, but i need the wsdl to be rpc encoded format. Please let me know how can i achieve this.
    Thanks.

    Hi Nico,
    Thanks for your reply.
    You mentioned to specify type in place of element, from where do you get this type and what more changes we need to do for the entire project to compile well with out errors.
    As suggested by you, I changed the element to type and tried to compile, it is giving the below error.
    Error:
    [Error ORABPEL-10902]: compilation failed
    [Description]: in "bpel.xml", XML parsing failed because "undefined part type.

    Please make sure the spelling of the type QName is correct and the WSDL import is complete.
    [Potential fix]: n/a.
    Please let me know what are all the changes that need to be done to complie the project successfully.

  • How to handle the Exception in GP using executable callabel object.

    Hi all,
            I handled an exception in GP using Background callable Object. That is working fine.
    (Ex: Exception_No_User_Found). The Problem is I am not able to handle the exceptions for normal callable object. I have done the same thing as i did in background callable object except implementing IGPBackgroundCallableObject Class.  I have created an WebDynpro DC Project where in getDescription method i declared an Exception and in execute method of component controller I caught the exception if no user found.
    Then i created an callable object for this simple DC project. but that is not working i could not catch the exception. when i execute the process it is asking the User ID if i give the wrong userId it is not refreshing back to the user id input form.
    But if i test that simple callable object separately it is throwing an Exception when I give the wrong input..
    but the same thing is working fine using background callable object.
    I couldn't handle the exception for the simple callable object or executable callable object.
    Please If anyone bring me the solution that would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to handle thousands of clients without using Overlapped I/O?

    Is there's a way that allows me to handle thousands of clients without using Overlapped I/O? Based on what I know select() can only handle 64 sockets, and it is not a good idea to increase this limit (by overriding FD_SETSIZE).

    I don't have a problem in using Overlapped I/O, I just wanted to know if this is the only way to go.
    Well, you could create thousands of threads, one per client, and use blocking sockets. Or you could use window-message based notifications - see WSAAsyncSelect. Or, you could poll with select(), a chunk of 64 at a time, with a short timeout. All of these
    would work, though none would scale very well.

  • Create null message using BizTalk mapper XSLT

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to check if a message contains a certian value, and if so, throw away the message.  Does anyone know how this could be done using BizTalk mapper/ XSLT?  It's an ESB messaging only solution so don;t want to introduce orchestratons
    / c# code.
    In short is field A = 'yes' the message will be thrown away / made null.
    Thanks in advance.
    GilesB

    If you consider doing this in Receive-side with some pipeline component, I am afraid you can't eat the data at the receive pipeline. For a null returned, I believe at least a empty message would be published to message box.
    Without orchestration, in message-only scenario one option you can consider is using a custom adapter where you can have your logic whether to send a stream/message out or not. Something like:
    public bool TransmitMessage(IBaseMessage msg)
    _terminate.Enter();
    try
    bool logMessages = Convert.ToBoolean(
    GetAdapterConfigValue(msg.Context, "logMessages")
    if ( logMessages ) {
    SystemMessageContext ctxt = new SystemMessageContext(msg.Context);
    //Add your logic using XPathReader - stream based XPath
    //and check whether the message has the value your're looking for
    bool isFound = false;
    if (!isFound)
    string msgData = "";
    StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(msg.BodyPart.Data);
    using (reader)
    msgData = reader.ReadToEnd();
    // discard the message
    return true;
    } finally {
    _terminate.Leave();
    Above is part of the send adapter code where you add your logic using XPathReader - stream based XPath and check whether the message has the value your're looking for. You can use
    null send adapter as refernce and build your logic where it would check for the required value in your custom adapter.

    Sync process A is calling an Async process B and Async process B  is developed in such a way that it is returning more than one message to sync process A, how you will handle those messages in sync process A?

    As durga said, its a wrong design, you will have issues in real time. You wont get the response back most of the time. It can be otherway around, async is waiting for sync process.
    Change your design or provide what is your use case below, we can think of which design suits you.
