How to highlight a single row in the Table components

Hi,
I am trying to do the following :
1) Select a staff member's name from a dropdown list
2) click on dropdown.name and show all the projects the member is working in a Table1
3) when clicked on the project in Table1, show all team members of selected project in Table2.
I would like to highlight the original staff member's name in Table2. Any ideas how I should go about doing it ? I tried the setSelected() method, but this selects all rows.

Hi Monika,
It is not really possible to add a row (I assume you mean of unrelated data) to the middle of a table in a report. You can add a new table with a single row between two tables. For instance you could add a new one row table, or even single cells which are positioned relatively between two tables. Possibly a block on top of another. But this gets tricky.
Can you explain in more detail what you are trying to do?

What do You mean 'update'? Get fresh data from DB or change data and commit it in DB?

How to edit a particular row in the table ctrl when a push button is clickd

Hi Experts,
How to edit a particular row (except the Primary keys) after selecting it in the TABLE CONTROL when a
push button is clicked in the table control.
For Eg. If you have a push button say "Modify", the particular row what we select in the table control should be in a
editable mode after clicking "Modify" Push button.
Please help me out.

Thanks a ton.
Its working fine...sorry for the late reply.
The reason behind the delay is because i had modified my code as per your logic it worked fine but the thing is that the whole column was in editable mode but not a single row.
For E.g If i want to edit a particular row, first i select the row and then click on "Modify" button. After i click on the button, the whole column gets in a editable mode including the one which i intentionally selected.
Here, the solution is that you have to set a flag in PBO so that once it is done with PBO then it need not come back again after we click on "Modify" button.
And one more query is that after you modify a particular row in the table control ( When it is in editable mode) and click on the "Save" button, it is not getting updated to database.
To update the database, we need to select the row once again after modifying it and click on the "Save" button.
Here, database is updating only when it is selected again. If it is not selected, it is not getting updated.
If you have any alternative solution, then please help me out.( I hope i am clear with the question.)

Adobe form from webdynpro : Getting a single row in the table

I have a scenario in which I have to create a adobeform from webdynpro application.
I have created the form and have the context designed in place.
I am facing a problem in the table I have in my adobeform.
I am adding rows to this table dynamically using a button using "addInstance"
Now on the webdynpro side , when I try to read this table I get a single row from this table.
This row is always the first row of that table.
I checked the following things from blog   /people/juergen.hauser2/blog/2006/09/12/avoiding-common-mistakes-when-using-tables-on-sap-interactive-forms , i.e. :
Cardinality of the node.
Tick on the option "Repeat Row for Each Data Item".
But still no success.
With deadlines to catch I had to post this question after trying a lot.Please help.

I had found this link before and used the same solution , but unfortunately is taking a long time.
Now what I am doing is :
1. I append 10 rows into the table then bind it to the node
2. Then on the adobe form I have removed the check on "Add row for each line item" because of which it shows only 1 row
     on the form.
     Now I add rows dynamically, but this puts a limit on the number of rows can be added to the table i.e. 10.
But this again has added problems like while displaying the form or modifying I hav to handle it seperately and cannot use the same form as it is.( as I have removed the tick for "Add row for each line item" ).

Exaprom PDF: how may cells span multiple rows in the table body?

I'm using Exaprom PDF but I have a case I just can't get to work.
I would like to generate a table where a cell spans on an entire row in the table body, the table should result as:

could you post an example how to span a cell on an entire row in the table body with the function "Append Customized Table.vi."

How to identify one specific row in the table STPO?

Hi!
How can I identify one specific row in the table STOP? As an input for my ABAP function I have MatNr, Plant, Alternative, BomUsage and Bom Position (0010, 0020...). With these values I can ask the table MAST to get the STLNR. But how can I get all needed values to specify an entry in the table STPO then?

ADF: How to get the attributes' values of one single row from a table?

Currently I have a table with 3 attributes, suppose A,B and C respectively. And I've added an selectionListener to this table. That means when I select one single row of this table, I wish to get the respective value of A, B and C for that particular row. How do I achieve this?
suppose the method is like:

1> How can i highlight a perticular row of a form.The requirement is that when you click any row of a form it will be highlighted by yellow color or the background color will be green.
2> I have a tabular form with five rows but when ever i want to add one button
five consiqutive buttons are add automatically.They are in a stack manner.
Can any body will please tell me how can i resolve two issues.

Hi Lee,
Select a non-header cell in the table.
Open the Inspector and choose the Table Inspector.
Click to check the 'Alternating Row Color' box in the Cell Background section.
Click the Color well beside the check box to open the Color pane.
Choose a colour.
The alternating colours are applied only to the non-header rows and non-header columns in your table.

DATA TRANSFER - How to get a SINGLE SPACE in the downloaded file from UNIX?

Hi Experts,
Am sending data from SAP to UNIX/ Application server and text file on desk top as well.
So, I am keeping a single character just SPACE at the END of each record.
Then, When I see the downloaded text file, I found a SINGLE SPACE at the end of each record, fine.
Then, by using CG3Y t code, I downloaded the UNIX file to my desk top.
But, When I see this UNIX downloaded file from UNIX, I did NOT find any SPACE at the end of each record!!!
Am doing every thing same in both cases.
So,
1 - Why its happening in case of UNIX file?
2 - How to get a SINGLE SPACE at the END in the downloaded file from UNIX?

perform SET_TRAIL_BLANKS(saplgrap) using 'X'.
perform SET_FIXLEN(saplgrap) using '0' '060'. "put length of your line from-to
... download ...
It will put space at the end of your line, according to the length.

just try this,
Instead of using omatrix.Addrow(1,-1) use like
omatrix.AddRow( RowCount , Position)
RowCount
The number of rows to add (default is 1)
Position
The position of the new rows (0-based; default is -1, meaning append row to the end)
After adding rows in matrix For, sno.
for i=1 to omatrix.visualrowcount
otext=omatrix.getcellspecific("columnid",i) '--where columnid is the unique id of the sno column
otext.value=i

Make a copy of the table and produce your Line chart or Bar chart from the copy. Sort the copy into the order you want to see in your chart.
Alternately you could use a Scatter Chart...

Is that possible to display more than 200 rows in a Table.
when i query from table, it has 1000 rows, i want to display all the 1000 rows in the Table.
when i query, the values are displaying up to 201 rows only,
when i click next on 200 - 201 it throws Exception says
*"Query has exceeded 200 rows. Potentially more rows exist, please restrict your query."*
let me know how to display all the 1000 rows in a table without Exception.

The number of rows retrieved is controlled by profile option "FND: View Object Max Fetch Size". I believe 200 is the default value. Pl see these MOS Docs
