How to I get back the work I had? I didn't save my work so i'm back to square one
I was editing a video when Something happened. I don't know if I saved my last edit but now i'm back to square 1 from when I began editing. How to I get back the work I had? I want to go back to the most recent edit I had but i'm not sure if I saved that edit. I'm not sure i'm being very clear on what i'm saying but I REALLY need help.
by default (unless you moved it):
root/user/documents/adobe/PremierePro/8.0/Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save
the path is via 'My Documents' on win and of course the 8.0 would be 7.0 (or earlier) if that's the version you're on.

I really need to restore that session, there were very important tabs that i don't remember the addresses for, and they aren't in history because i didn't load some of them for a long time. Is there any way to restore?
Hi bncase, how long were you keeping the important tabs open? You may well have backups of sessionstore.js and/or sessionstore.bak which contain at least some of the tabs. You might be able to restore them to a different location and take a peek inside.
Another possibility is to try the "Previous Versions" feature. See: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Previous-versions-of-files-frequently-asked-questions When you right-click either sessionstore.bak or sessionstore.js and choose Properties you may find files available on the Previous Versions tab. Since I find system restore to be somewhat unreliable, it's probably a good idea to back up any current files you might want to load again before restoring any of those previous versions. As always, make sure Firefox is closed before restoring, or your changes may quickly be overwritten. -

The loading of audio files to iPod is designed to go one way only: computer to iPod. There are some third-party applications available which will rescue an audio library and write the files back to a PC HDD. The playlists might not copy, nor the album art work, nor videos but you might be able to recover all audio files. Some apps are open source and available for free download, for example: Senuti, Onyx. There are others which are Windows-based; do a Google search to find out.

I spilled water on my laptop and my "i", "j" and "k" letters don't work on my laptop. However my main problem is that my password contains an "i" so i am locked out of my computer. Any ideas how I can get around the password and login. I tried the method where you go into single user mode and type in commands, however that method uses some of the letters that are not working on my laptop.
You didn't mention which version of OS X your running but there are password reset utilities provided OS X: Changing or resetting an account password (Snow Leopard and earlier) - Apple Support or OS X: Changing or resetting an account password - Apple Support
Alternately you can use an external keyboard to log in and change the password. Make a backup if you don't have one, it's likely that your problems aren't over. If that water continues to migrate downward and fries the logic board your macbook will be toast. -
How can I get all the stuff from my old iPad 2 to my new iPad 2? I have an apple id and have synced and backed up my old iPad 2 regularly.
Sky is right you can restore the old backup and it will not affect the old iPad
To make sure do this:
1. If you have the old one then just turn off wi-fi and the iPad (that's just for your peace of mind)
2. Put new iPad on airplane mode (just for no interruptions )
3. Connect it (while it's on, don't shut it down)
4. Follow prompts and when it asks if you want to setup as new or restore CHOOSE: RESTORE
5. It will make its magic (just wait for it to sync, restarts, and finishes) it might ask you to update software if it does just accept
6. You can rename your new iPad like that you can have a fresh back up
7. ENJOY your new iPad

1. Do the above steps 1, 2, 3.
2. On step 4 you can choose to set up as new
3. Then you can choose what to sync on it (click on iPad on the left panel then the tabs on top you choose what you want on it (you can also do that if you restore)

Apple incorrectly assumes that all users are connecting to a simple modem when most users are connecting to gateway devices....combination modem/routers.
You probably are as well and Bridge Mode would be the correct setting when connecting to that type of device. -
I tried to update my phone, but it died so i had to restore it. The only back up i had was from 2 months ago. How do i get all the settings back from that huge gap of me not syncing it?

If you really want your contact back and you did not do another iCloud backap since you deleted some of your contacts, you can do a hard reboot on both devices with iClouded contacts by holding down the home and lock buttons on each of them for 10 seconds ignoring the slide to turn off thing. Make sure you have iCloud contact services off before doing so. You can then go through the whole set up process until you get up to the backup part. You then press to restore from an iCloud backup (make sure you choose the right backup for the right phone). If you didn't make an iCloud backup before the contact incident, you will have to use your two-month-old iTunes backups. Each phone should have their contacts the way they were from your last backup. You then go into Settings>iCloud>and turn off contacts. You then can choose if you want to keep your current contacts or not. Turn this off on both phones just incase you add another iCloud device to the mix later on. Now your contact lists are no longer linked (Caution: side effect may include lack of edit button). You may now add and delete contacts as you please without it happening on your other phone.

Have you tried pulling the batteries out of the damaged ones so that they are completely off; then shutdown your Mac Mini via the power button on the back right. Turn on your new keyboard and trackpad then power your Mini back up? The auto detection should find your new keyboard and trackpad.

In this case you would have to reset your new device (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings) in order to restore it from a backup during the device setup.

Hi my name is steve I was wondering how do you get into the BIOS on a satellite 320 CDS. As this is my first format on a lap top. Done plenty on desktop computers just never laptops. As some fool tried to do it before me and distroyed it. Now the only thing that happens is after the toshiba logo disappears this message comes up, INVALID SYSTEM DISK, REPLACE THE DISK AND THEN PRESS ANY KEY. It use to run Windows 98 and it worked great for how old it is. Was hoping to put XP on it but its only got a small hard drive (4099mb). So will have to put 98 back on it till I get a bigger hard drive.Only need it to teach my daughter how to respect a laptop. I mainly want to get into the BIOS for format. Any instruction on how to get into the BIOS would be great, as I'm good from there. Thank you in advance for your help.

I don't know the exact method for the Satellite 320 CDS.
But most of the Toshiba notebooks use one of the following methods.
If you see a message while booting "Press F2 to enter setup", do it and you get into BIOS.
Or you have to press ESC while booting, then press F1 when prompted to and you are in the BIOS.

On Dreamweaver CC how do I get to the css rule definition box?
On the other Dreamweavers when I wanted to edit a css, I selected the css and clicked on the pencil icon to open the css rule definition box.
The only way I find to get acess to the css rule definition box on the new CC is when I am creating a new div and then there is a option for a new style and it opens the box.
My question is how do I get to the box once the rule is created? the pencil icon is not there anymore.
Not good breaking workflows Adobe, some folks have work in progress...

That depends a bit on the situation. For example, in Netbeans I use the live connection with Chrome (embedded view or not) and I can then select an item in the live view in Chrome, which opens the css properties panes. These are quite similar to DW.
By changing the values in the css properties pane the changes in values are automatically saved in the css file, and visually updated in realtime in Chrome.
It can be very handy to quickly change the position or margin/padding/size of an element this way without having to switch back and forth to your css. Bit similar to the inspect element pane in FF and Chrome, and the changes are immediately saved.
When I still used DW I used it in the same manner for quick visual changes - and no reason to rummage through my css code.
In short, those css inspector panes can work quite efficiently when you need to polish the css code.
Granted, I would never use it while working on the main css code - but for slight and quick changes it can be a very handy feature.
