2. One such program will be 'Oracle - Infra-instance-Name Enterprise Manager', or 'Oracle - Middletier-instance-Name Enterprise Manager'. In its submenu, you will see items like 'Start Application Server Control Console', or 'Stop Application Server Control Console'.
Now, from the above Enterprise Manager page, you can also get the name of the instance, and where it is installed. But you will need to know the password.
Usiing command line, the following starts any instance of the OAS.
opmn\bin\opmnctl startall
In OAS, first you have to start the infra and then midtier. that will start your OAS. To find proper instances and their homes, do the following:
Search for a folder opmn in your system. Open this folder and then go one stage above to the parent of opmn folder. This folder should be oracle home for one of the instances.
Now open up a cmd prompt and define this parent folder as ORACLE_HOME variable. and run the above mentioned opmn command.

  • How to identify the installed Weblogic Server and JDK are 32bit or 64bit?

    Hi everyone,
    I have a question ~
    Both Weblogic Server and JAVA JDK are installed on the server already, but I only know the Weblogic Server is 10.3.4.0 and JAVA JDK version is 1.6.0_25.
    I know the 64bit Weblogic Server installation file is a wlsXXXX_generic.jar package and 64bit JAVA JDK needed also.
    But, since the Weblogic installed already, there are no such installation files on the Linux Server now.
    I have tried the "java -version" for java version and check the Weblogic version from Weblogic console.
    How to identify the installed Weblogic Server and JDK are 32bit or 64bit with Linux command? Or is there any way to check it?

    What you can try to do is use WLST (or an MBean browser, such as JConsole or JRockit Mission Control) and connect to the adminserver.
    For example when using WLST:
    # set the environment by using setWLSEnv.sh (located in the ${WL_HOME}/server/bin directory).
    # start WLST by using: java weblogic.WLST
    # connect to the adminserver
    connect('adminusername','adminpassword');
    # change to the serverruntime environment
    serverRuntime();
    # show the attributes
    ls();
    # Here an attribute is shown called WebLogicVersion that shows the version of WebLogic
    -r--   WeblogicVersion                              WebLogic Server 10.3.5.0  Fri Apr 1 20:20:06 PDT 2011 1398638
    # Note that this does not show if is 32 bits or 64 bits to retrieve this information you have obtain the JVM version
    # change the directory
    cd('JVMRuntime/AdminServer');
    # show the attributes
    ls();
    -r--   Version                                      R28.0.1-21-133393-1.6.0_20-20100512-2126-linux-x86_64
    # when you have something like x86 at the you are running a 32 bit version, if you have something like x86_64 you are running a 64 bits versionAs mentioned above you can also retrieve this information by using a MBean browser.

  • How do a clean install from Time Machine Backup which is in other partition of internal hard drive

    I have 2 partitions in my internal hard drive they are
    1. Mac OS (Sysem Files)
    2. HDD (Other Personal Documents).
    I did Time Machine Backup in HDD partition. So now i want to do clean install from the Time Machine Backup without format the whole drive since my system not booting meant that system crashed and cant boot in anyway (Just consider ). Also I have MAC bootable USB stick.
    Thanks in advance .

    Having never seen a setup like that, I'm not sure how it will work.
    In theory, just erase the Mac OS volume, then install, choosing to recover from a Time Machine backup.
    When you boot into Recovery, open Disk Utility and select the Mac OS volume, not the whole disk. Erase it, then quit DU and restore from the Time Machine backup. However, this is the part I'm not certain of. I would imagine the partition with TM backup will be mounted, but I don't know.
    If you can't see the Time Machine backup from the Recovery HD on the drive, try it from the USB Recovery stick (it is a Recovery USB and not the old Lion install USB, correct?)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4718
    If you don't have a "built-in" recovery HD because of your partitioning, then you would have to boot from that USB Recovery disk.
    Your setup is severely flawed. A backup on the same drive as the data is not a backup. You will lose everything with a disk failure.
    Also, partitioning off your OS on a Mac is not necessary and is probably counterproductive. OS X is not Windows.

  • SCCM 2007 R2- How to identify the owner of the machine in SCCM.

    Hi All,
    Is there a way to know the owner of the machine in SCCM 2007 R2?
    Rgs,

    Hi,
    Who is the owner is really hard as you would have to write that information somewhere when you deploy it or dynamically afterwards if you mean the actual owner of the assett.
    the available options are either the last logon username.
    http://smsug.ca/blogs/garth_jones/archive/2007/06/30/482.aspx
    or the top console user, which is more reliant as last logon could be blank or wrong if for instance a technician logs on.

  • How can I re-install Adobe Acrobat XI Standard on the same machine

    My machine had crashed and so I can't deactivate Adobe Acrobat XI Standard.  How can I re-install on the machine?  There are no ways to contact customer support to reset the count as suggested in one of the forum post. What are my options?
    Thanks.

    Hey,
    Please elaborate your issue. Why would you want to deactivate your acrobat xi?
    Moreover as you mentioned that your machine crashed.. so do you mean that you have lost access to your operating system and all its files?

  • If Mountain Lion comes pre-installed on my machine, how can I get the OS discs if it's only available via download?

    Had someone ask a very good question, I think.
    If you buy a new Mac that has Mountain Lion pre-installed on the machine, you are able to download updates as they come out; however, you can't necessarily download the Mountain Lion installer via the App Store since it came already installed on your computer.
    So my question is, how can you get a OS disk/drive of Mountain Lion if your computer fails? I know Apple has the Recovery drive, and even the Internet Recovery drive, along with Time Machine and whatever else, but what if none of these options are available to recover the computer?
    I suggested to the person to clone their hard drive using the 30-day trial of Carbon Copy Cloner. That way, they have a bootable image with the OS already available in case they run into this option. BUT, what if that isn't even an option? How does one go about recovering their computer if no OS disc of Mountain Lion is available?
    I haven't been able to find anything about workarounds besides the methods I mentioned above, so please tell me if I am missing something.

    you can't necessarily download the Mountain Lion installer via the App Store since it came already installed on your computer.
    Not true. You can go to the Mac App Store and download the installer
    (from the link that WALTER-MILANO-ITALY posted above)
    Install OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion
    If you completed your installation of OS X, your installer may have been removed after your successful first login to OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion.  Mac App Store's Purchases page should show Install OS X as being "Installed", and disallow its download, when viewed from a computer running OS X.
    To redownload the installer on a computer running OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion, press and hold the Option key while you click the Purchases tab. If the button to the right of the Install OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion item doesn't change to "Install" and allow you to download OS X, use Spotlight to search for "Install OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion" on your computer.

    How do I identify and install latest RAW plug in for elements 10 for Sony A 7 mark 2

    Elements 10 is too old for this new camera. It can't be updated to the ACR 8.5 version, you would need PSE12 or 13.
    Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
    You can download the free Adobe Dngconverter which can batch convert whole folders of your Sony raw files to the DNG raw format that your PSE10 can handle.

  • Can't deactivate PS CS6 on old computer - how can I I install it on new machine

    Hi -
    I have had Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4 since mid-2012..
    The hard drive failed on the machine they were installed/activated on, so I cannot

    Thank you!

    Try the Chat now button at the bottom of this link:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html
    I forgot to add that your allowed two installs on two of your own computers, so you can go ahead and install
    on your new computer and it should still activate unless you already used up your two activations.

  • I had a previous version of photoshop installed on my machine. I lost my HDD. How can I download the version of photoshop that i bought ~4 yrs ago?

    I had a previous version of photoshop installed on my machine. I lost my HDD. How can I download the version of photoshop that i bought ~4 yrs ago?

    According to Wikipedia, 4 years ago you would most likely have bought Photoshop CS5.
    You can download Photoshop CS5 from Adobe.  Start here:
    Download CS5 products
    You'll need your serial number to activate it.  If you don't have that, you can likely find it on Adobe's main web site after you've logged-in with your Adobe ID.  See the Find your serial number quickly link to pursue that.

  • How to know the latest version of SMO installed on my machine

    I have different versions of SMO installed on my machine. Is there any method to know the latest version of SMO installed through program?I mean is there any API or something like that for the purpose?
    For example, if the latest version of SMO is the SMO corresponding to SQL Server 2014, then i would like to receive the version something like "12.0.2000.8"
    Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    If you're checking for an installed component, then the best bet is to check the uninstall registry key.
    On my machine the key value for "Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Management Objects (x64)" is this:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{43A5C316-9521-49C3-B9B6-FCE5E1005DF0}
    There may be a different key entry for the 32bit version if you need that, but this is the way I always did software install checks when I was an SCCM admin.
    EDIT: As it seems that Microsoft change the uninstall key every version making it difficult to keep track of the installation this way, there is another key here which is probably a good one to check:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\SharedManagementObjects\CurrentVersion
    You could check the value of this to see if it's greater than 11 and if not (or it doesn't exist) do your install.

    hi karthick,
    thanks for replying. first of all i would like to say that I was not able to find the path which you have mentioned below.
    but i understood your intentions.
    so directly looked for a executable file of sqlplus underr oraclehome/bin. and i got few error messages, saying sqlplus could not be loaded. this could be because my 10g is currently configured. and not 11g as we dont want to disturb the environment without confirmation.You said this was AIX. So when you log on to the server, your "environment" only exists for that session you have created to log on. Set ORACLE_HOME to point to your 11.2 installation, and set PATH to point to $ORACLE_HOME/bin. Those settings are only good for that session, so will not impact anything else.
    If sqlplus reports 64 bit, well, that's obviously 64 bit. If it's 32-bit, it won't say anything about it, so "not 64 bit" must be 32-bit.
    >
    however, i tried to execute the same file for 10 g to check if 10g gives any info, but only got the version not 32 or 64 bit.
