How to import Indian CD/MP3 Lecatures/Music in iTunes?

I want to import lectures and music from CD/MP3 from INDIA to itunes to copy them in ipod nano.  However, CD/MP3 content does not get imported into Itunes in Windows 7.  What is the trick???

As I asked - what happens when you try steps four and five?
Specifically, when you drag-and-drop, does the icon you're dragging change and get a red circle with a line through it within the icon? (That's the "you cannot do this" icon!)
If not, then the music must have been added to your Library. Perhaps the files are in a different part of your library, such as iTunes U, or audiobooks. If those  options are not showing under Library (in my picture above, notice, under Library, the option iTunes U). To turn these on, select Edit/Preferences/General and put a tick in the boxes for iTunes U, Podcasts, Books and even TV Shows.
Once these options are visible to you, check each section for these missing files. You can use the search option on the top right of the iTunes Window, but note that the search is only in the section you're currently looking into.

  • How to import a complex mp3  folder strucutr in itunes and automated create playlists namend after this folders?

    Hi to all,
I have a Problem. I organised since years my mp3 music in folders with subfolders and so on. I didnt create any playlists. Now i want to use itunes and ipod/ipone. How can i import a the complex mp3  folder strucutr in itunes and automated create playlists namend after this folders?
I understood how to import the music in the media library but i dont want to creat hundreds of playlists by hand.
    Maybe someone has a tip?
    Thank to all
    Andy

iTunes doesn't take any notice of your folder structure or provide any automatic way to use any information that might be coded in the path. Can you describe the current layout in a bit more detail and explain what you hope to achieve. It may be possible to use tools in other program's such as MediaMonkey or custom scripts to get the data from the file paths into something that iTunes can work with. The most important thing at this stage is not to import media to iTunes without first making sure under Edit > Preferences > Advanced that Keep iTunes Media folder organized and Copy to iTunes Media folder when adding to library are turned off otherwise iTunes may destroy your existing structure.

  • How to import a large mass of music to itunes.

Hi, I recently recieved a lot of music from my brother to import onto my itunes. I had roughly 12,000 items on an external folder to import onto itunes, but when i "added the folder" only about 6,000 of the items made it on itunes. I couldn't see why itunes would only import half of the music. Is it perhaps too much music to import at a given time? I haven't been able to find a solution. I'd appreciate a response!

    Hi Blushadow,
I have to clean it before loading it into the final table, as the records got splitted in to multiple line, along with delimiter and with out delimiter. remember for this you have given me a script to clean a week back ( Re: help needed for correcting records in a table )
    with res as (select dtt_id,
                        txt,
                        ceil(sum(length(txt) - length(replace(txt, '|'))) over (order by dtt_id)/4) grp
from   t), -- assuming that your table is called t.
       final as (select replace(sys_connect_by_path(txt, '$'), '$') full_txt,
                        level
                 from   res
                 WHERE CONNECT_BY_ISLEAF = 1
connect by grp = prior grp
                 and        dtt_id = prior dtt_id + 1)
    select case when length(full_txt) - length(replace(full_txt, '|')) = 11 then full_txt end full_txt
    from   final
    where  case when length(full_txt) - length(replace(full_txt, '|')) = 11 then full_txt end is not null;
IN TSQL  I have used the below script for the above task, as finally I want to load this file to sql
    DECLARE @max bigint,@c  bigint
    SELECT @max = MAX(rn),@c = 1 from @X
    DECLARE @targ varchar(max)
    WHILE @max <> 0
    BEGIN
          SELECT @targ = txt FROM @X WHERE rn = @max
IF (@targ not like '%|%|%|%|%')  -- | = number of delimiter in the file
          BEGIN
                UPDATE @X SET txt = txt+@targ WHERE rn = @max - 1
                DELETE FROM @X WHERE rn = @max
          END
          SET @max = @max - 1

  • How can I get my (vinyl) record music into iTunes Match?

I have a rather large collection of music on CDs, Tapes, and records.
Now that iTunes Match exists I would like to include all of my music into my iTunes library.
There is no easy way (that I know of) to load anything except CDs into iTunes. So for the rest of the library one must either buy all the music again or buy equipment to play the music one time and convert it to a newer format.
My CD collection is mostly loaded and since 99.999% (virtually all) of that music is already in iTunes Match it is not uploaded to iTunes again, but it quickly becomes available to play on all my iTunes Authorized Devices.
With the exception of that 1 in ten thousand songs that I may have that iTunes does not have in the Match library there is no reason to import the music at all - other than to prove I have the actual CD's. (In any case I suppose I could have borrowed them for that anyway.)
However for CDs at least they can be imported - but for tapes and records I know of no direct way.
With something state-of-the-art like iTunes Match and my PC(s), iPhone(s) and iPad, why use stone-age-like means to prove ownership of outside-of-iTunes music?
Why not provide some other information to identify albums owned and have them available in iTunes Match without the 99.999% useless step of loading them?
In fact for most tape music it is no longer playable (to convert) as the rollers in the tape devices deteriorate and they no longer play.
Vinyl records play just fine, just not easily into a PC without purchase of expensive equipment that would be used only for the one-time load (which is really just for proof-of-ownership).
What a ridiculous waste of time, energy and funds for that 1 in 10,000 songs that may not yet exist in the iTunes Match library. Okay, as the music gets older it may even be 2 in 10,000 - but I doubt it.
I remember that each album (and 45 rpm single) has identifying information scratched into it (around the inside of the innermost track) - can that (or something else) suffice as proof of ownership to get the music into iTunes Match?
Please respond with ideas to quickly and easily get already-owned vinyl record music into an iTunes Match library.
I personally do not care if 1 (or 2) out of 10,000 of my songs gets lost because it is not in the iTunes Match library - couldn't be that good in that case anyway.
    Thanks!!

I too have not figured out how to convert my vinyl collection to iTunes match. Here is what I have tried:
I record my vinyl records onto CD using a Sony RCD-W500C which makes a very high quality recording. I make sure the song lengths are the same as those from the same album at the iTunes store.
Then I import the CD into my iTunes music library. I have to enter the names of the tracks manually because Gracenote cannot identify the names of the songs. I do this while the music is in my iTunes music library and the CD has been ejected from my PC.
Then I try to get the iTunes Match, but it never works. I do, however, get the artwork from iTunes. iTunes then uploads my songs into the iCloud. When I download them back onto my PC and iPhone 4s, I get the identicle recording that I imported onto iTunes. I know this because I can hear the static and crackling of the vinyl. I don't necessarily mind that noise, but I figured if I paid for the iTunes Match I should get the AAC 256 bps music. After all it doesn't cost iTunes anything to give it to me. And there's no way I'm going to purchase all my vinyl records again. I have about 500 albums.
I do buy all my new music from iTunes because I think it is the best system available. I just think it could be so much better if they would let me download the highest quality recording of the music I own from them.
I have also tried the Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio which records my vinyl records into a music file on my PC. But that doesn't get the match either.
THERE HAS TO BE SOMEBODY OUT THERE THAT CAN TELL US WHAT ITUNES MATCH LOOKS AT IN OUR MUSIC UPLOADS THAT DETERMINES WHETHER THEY GIVE US THE MATCH!!!!!!
When you download a CD, there is some information embedded in the CD that iTunes matches. I don't believe there is any information embeded in the vinyl albums, but when I burn them onto a CD-maybe I could add the info onto the CD before trying to match it if I just knew what they looked for.
I would appreciate any help anyone can give me on this.

  • How to import from ipod to new os and itunes?

Had to replace my hard drive and reinstall itunes. How do i import the songs from the ipod to itunes? The music that is on the ipod was lost with the old hard drive. I hope there is some way besides updating the ipod with itunes erasing everything.

    Stanman,
These links will give you several methods of recovering whatever songs remain on your iPod; some free, some third-party software, some more comprehensive for restoring playlists, ratings, playcounts, etc. Read them and their associated links before deciding on a strategy that works for you. There are many various third-party software programs that will offer a more robust process, or an easier GUI. Do a Google search for them if the links below leave you wanting…
Don King Resurrected: Deleted files from hard drive (free user steps – music recovery only)
MacMuse: Computer Crashed (free user steps – music recovery only)
Copying music from iPod to computer (a primer on various methods and software)
Copying Songs from Your iPod to a Mac or PC (resource for 3rd party software)
    iPodRip Software
    PodUtil Software
XPlay (Software For Cross-Platform Functionality & Music Recovery)
XPlay Photo Browser (For recovering Photos)
After recovering your song files, strongly consider developing a thorough backup strategy for just this type of situation.
You need at least three sets of your music:
-- One full set on the PC within iTunes
-- One full set on an external backup medium (CD/DVD/ExHD/other)
-- One (full or partial) set on the iPod
Music files on just the iPod and the computer is not considered having any backup. If you cannot store your complete music files on the computer, then create and maintain two external sets.
Backup both the music files and the Library database file (iTunes Library.itl).

  • HT3819 How can I get my windows library music into iTunes media library

Hello I am trying to transfer my music from my Windows media in my computer to the iTunes media. I have a lot of recorded CDs in my windows media and I also have a lot of MP3 music I downloaded in the Windows media I've been trying to figure out how to get it in to the iTunes. Today I tried licking for a special ab I could use to have on my music together. And I read about the iTunes match and I purchased it thinking it was going to have all my recorded music that I have stored in my computer into the iTunes app or if not this iCloud I've been reading about. I also have a iCloud account. The purpose of me wanting this is so I could have my music in one area. I really want to use my music in different apps.  And there's a lot of abs out there that is easier for me to get from the iTunes instead of different downloaders so what I want if you could explain to me how to get my music into iTunes and I would think also the iCloud

  • How to import bookmarks from iPhone to Mac using iTunes?

Can anyone tell me how to import bookmarks from an iPhone onto my desktop (iMac)? All of our bookmarks were accidentally deleted from our mini mac, which then deleted them from our desktop with iCloud. My wife has all the bookmarks on her phone but we can't figure out how to sync them. The only info we could find was to click the info button on iTunes and then sync, but there is no info button. Any help?

If you have OS X 10.9 Mavericks, then at this time there is no direct syncing of bookmarks, contacts nor calendar items between a Mac and an iOS device. All synching is done via iCloud. If there's another way to transfer your bookmarks from the iPhone to your Mac, I'm not aware of it, unless there's a third-party browser for the iPhone that could import the bookmarks from Safari and then transfer them by some other method. But if you set your wife's iPhone up to your iCloud account, that should then sync.
    Regards.

  • Does anyone know how to import an existing mp3, edit, bounce back to iTunes

I have created many songs in Logic Express and have successfully bounced them as mp3 files to iTunes. However, now I'm trying to import a pre-existing mp3 file, edit the length of the track, and export, or 'bounce' it back into iTunes. All seems to work fine, except the shortened mp3 file that ends up back in iTunes plays with no sound.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Appreciate your help. Thanks!

I don't know why this happens but the right way is to bounce an uncompressed file (that you should take apart for future use) and import it in iTunes letting this last to convert.
BTW, try to delete the old .mp3 from the iTunes library before to import the new one.
    cheers

  • How can I put my mp3 files into my iTunes library? Every time I download a song from a website and try to drag it to my library, it won't add on. How can I fix this?

Back then when I had the older update with iTunes i never had this problem with trying to put my mp3 files of music into my iTunes library. Now it doesn't want to be put into the library. Once I try to drag the music file to the iTunes library nothing happens, it just keeps showing a cancellation sign with my mouse. So how can I fix this?

    Hi William.
The problem is probably that the index is corrupt and you need to completely re-create it rather than rebuilding individual mailboxes. I have no idea what the situation really is now after having tinkered with the contents of ~/Library/Mail/, though, so the following procedure may or may not work.
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, and making sure that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), try this:
    1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
    2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong -- e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down.
    3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see an Envelope Index-journal file there, delete it as well.
    4. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be “imported”. Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index -- Mail says it’s “importing”, but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

  • How to import audiobooks into the right place on Itunes?

I have Windows and am struggling with getting audiobooks from a CD to actually go into the "audiobooks" designation on the left hand side of the screen.
What they are actually doing is being listed as "books and spoken" and remaining in my music library. I'm assuming if they remain in there, the chapters will get shuffled like songs?
Can someone help this confused Kansas dude out?

If the files are mp3 then you can't just change the extension. The extension actually tells the computer what program to use when playing the file along with how to play the file.
To do what you want try reading these.
