  • How can I convert an outlook pst file to mac mail without using a windows based computer

I recently bought the new iMac as my older Windows based computer crashed with a bad motherboard.  I have been trying to find a way to convert Outlook 2007 pst files to Mac Mail without the need to use a Windows based computer since all I have now is a Mac.  I have the copies of the pst files on my Mac, so I am looking for the most efficient way to convert them to the format that I can then open them in the Mac Mail.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - thanks for the instructions but where do you get the option for Quicktime. If I do File - Export I only get the options for File name, place and size but no option that allows to select quicktime:-(
Have you got any more tips?

  • How to recover .pst files in Mac?

    Hi there!
I've a .bak file that I've tried to rename with .pst, but when I tried to import in MS Outlook (MSOffice for Mac), the program said "The Data File is damaged and Outlook is not able to import it". How can I fix this .pst file using my Mac? I've found a lot of softwares on internet, but not suitable to operate in Mac OS X.
    Thank you!

  • How to import PST file into Entourage 2004 ?

    Hello all,
I wonder if somebody can help. I just recently threw my Windows PC out and replaced it by an iMac - I just love it !
One thing still challenges me though. I got all the old contacts and emails in a PST file format, Outlook 2003.
Can anybody tell me how I convert/import them into Entourage 2004 ?
Thanks very much for your help in advance
    Lenochka

The best way is through an exchange server. If you don't have access to one, then there are two more options from the site mentioned above (http://www.entourage.mvps.org/cross_platform/#pst):
"Other options to convert your Outlook mail into the MBOX format.
Use Mozilla Mail. See Dave Riches tutorial here
Use Paul Berkowitz's Export-Import Scripts download here"

I am at a total loss.  I have exported my existing address book of 3100 contacts and it can be in any format -  csv or whatever.
It is from an app called NowContcat and up to date.  You would not know it.
Anyway all I want to do is import to my BB Bold 9000 running the latest upgrades.
Can anyone help? - I have tried to read all of the posts but there does not seem to be anything i the manual or otherwise.

    Hey kempyau,
To clarify your issue, are you looking to take the csv file of 3100 contacts and synchronize it with your BlackBerry?
You can import the contacts in Mac Address Book and then use BlackBerry Desktop Software to synchronize the contacts.

  • Importing mbx files to mac mail

I've been a MAC user for a 5-6 years.  However, I still have some old email files from when I used Outlook or Outlook express on a PC.  I believe they are .mbx files with the name that my mail folders had on my pc (e.g. family.mbx...friends.mbx).  I have seen some applications out there that convert old outlook or OE emails to other formats when on the PC.  But I don't have a PC anymore - just the MAC and just the mbx filed which are saved in a folder on my hard drive. If anyone is aware of a way I can read these files on my MAC I'd appreciate the advice. I have tried inporting them into MAIL and also into Outlook for MAC (2011).  Also searched google and have not yet found an MAC compatible app that would do this.

There has never been a "Messages" folder in the Mail folder in recent years. What you do to import Apple mailbox data is to locate the /Home/Library/Mail/V2/Mailboxes/ folder. Use the Import option in Mail's File menu. Select the topmost option:
Navigate to the above location, select the Mailboxes folder and click on the Open/Import button.
Note that the above is mainly to import from an older account into a new one. Use the last option if you are trying to import a mail folder in .mbox format.

You cannot import addresses into Mail. You must import them into Address Book for them to be available in Mail. Open Address Book, then Help > Address Book Help, and read the “Importing contacts into Address Book” article to see how this works.

  • How to import mailbox files in Outlook 2013??

How do I import Mozilla Thunderbird archived mailboxes in Microsoft Outlook 2013? I used Mozilla Thundebird in Mac book pro earlier, from some time I have been using Windows pc and for some reason I needed to access my older mails that I had archived from Mozilla Thunderbird. How do I import those files in Outlook 2013??
    Please help...!!

Thunderbird mails cannot be directly imported into Outlook because of file format compatibility issues. Outlook can import .pst file format, so first we need to convert thunderbird mail to .pst format. This can be done here: http://www.gladwevsoftware.com/thunderbird-to-pst-converter/
After that follow these steps to import the converted pst file in outlook 2013:-
    1. Click File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
    2. This starts the Import and Export Wizard.
    3. Choose Import from another program or file, and then click Next.
    4. Choose Outlook Data File (.pst) and click Next.
    5. Browse to the .pst file you want to import.
    6. Under Options, choose how you want to deal with duplicates
    7. Click Next.
    8. If a password was assigned to the Outlook Data File (.pst), enter the password, and then click OK.
    9. Set the options for importing items. The default settings usually don’t need to be changed.
    10. Click Finish.
    I hope this helps. thanks

  • Import PST files for multiple users at the same time?

While importing PST files into archive mailboxes, the Exchange 2010 mailbox server went to 100% CPU and memory usage and I could not stop the imports because the EMS stopped responding.  We had to restart the whole server to get back to normal.
Not sure if importing PSTs was the cause of it it was a coincidence.  We have done imports the same way before without this issue.
How many PST imports can be done at the same time and how do we queue up multiple users and have the mailbox imports have unique names for each user?  I noticed they are always called MailboxImport and MailboxImport1 and then it starts over as MailboxImport
again for additional users. So, if more than one user's PSTs are being imported at the same time, we will have multiple identically named imports running.
We would like multiple users' PST imports to queue up and start automatically when the previous users' imports complete.

Please try like this. Rename folder name same as alias.  i.e. \\server\share\<alias>. below are examples.
    "\\server\share\jsmith"
    "\\server\share\tjones"
    "\\server\share\rsmith"
    "\\server\share\bspears"
    "\\server\share\mmouse"
And run below command to take PST from the corresponding
    foreach ($i in (Get-Mailbox)) { New-MailboxImportRequest -Mailbox $i -FilePath "\\Server\share\$($i.Alias)\$($i.Alias).pst" -baditemlimit 50 -acceptlargedataloss ;while ((Get-MailboxImportRequest -mailbox $i | ? {$_.Status -eq "Queued" -or $_.Status -eq "InProgress"})) { sleep 180 } }
If a folder missing with the alias you will see an error similar to this.I think this will work for you. You just keep only the required PST folders to import in the "\\Server\share" folder.
"Unable to open PST file '\\server\share\mmouse\mmouse.pst'.
    Error details: Could
not find a part of the path '\\server\share\mmouse\mmouse.pst'.
        + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (0:Int32) [New-MailboxImportRequest], RemotePermanentException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 27802833,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.RecipientTasks.NewMailboxImportRequest"

If you have a Panasonic P2, Canon XF or Sony XDCAM series camcorder,
you may be familiar with Material eXchange Format (MXF). Though MXF is a
great video format to record high-definition videos, it is not easy to
use in that they are not natively supported by most NLE systems like
Final Cut Pro. In order to import MXF to FCP for editing, the easy workaround is to transcode MXF files to FCP compatible video formats.
Along with some help from a top MXF Converter, it can be done. To
help those who wanna edit MXF files in FCP without problems, here I

    Tips:
    a. Settings- click to set video
    resolution(1920×1080/1440×1080/1280×720/720×480), bitrate (from 1Mbps to
    20Mbps), frame rate (24p/30p)

How to import WMV file for use in adobe programs, especially After Effects and/or Premier?

I have the latest adobe creative cloud and i'm using Mac 10.8.2
My client gave me a wmv file that she wants some people blurred out in the background but when I go to import the media, it's greyed out. I'm assuming that After Effects will be the best solution for this, but maybe there is another way.
I can purchase a video converter and convert it to .mov but that costs extra money that I don't want to spend just to do this one project.

  • How to import PST to Exchange 2007 from Exchange 2010

    Hello everyone,
I have a problem with importing PSTs to Exchange 2007 mailboxes.
I exported PSTs without problem on Exchange 2010 using New-MailboxExportRequest but I run in several problems with importing PSTs on Exchange 2007.
I created VM with Windows XP, 32bit Exchange Management tools and Outlook 2007 because it's needed for importing/exporting in Ex2007 Envinroment. I created separate account for imporing PSTs, grant him rights to Exchange server and specific mailbox but I still
got this error while importing: Error occurred in the step: Approving object. An unknown error has occurred., error code: -2147219968 or sometimes import run without any error but no messages are imported (also it is processed very fast).
    I use Import-Mailbox -identity <user> -PSTFolderPath <Path>
Do you know what causing this issue and how to fix it or how to import PST to Exchange using different aproach?
    Thank you

    Hi,
Please make sure that your account has proper permissions
    Exchange Server Administrators role
Local Administrators group for the target server
Full access to the target mailbox
In addition. what’s size of that PST file? If it is too large, it might be corrupted and we may need to export it again from Exchange 2010.
    Best Regards.
