How to Include hit counter image in email?

I want to include an image in my mail. I add that image from insert => HTML with img tag but image is attached. I want the image to be loaded in mail from its source not from the attachment.

Instead of using Insert -> HTML you'd better click on the Image icon in the Compose window. It's the icon on the bar with style (Body Text), Font (Variable Width), on the right side between Paragraph and Smiley icon.
When you add the image there, you have additional options, e.g. not to attach the image to the message...

How does the hit counter work?

a while ago i made a web site with a hit counter on it
i wrote the hit counter using php and a flat text file to store the number of hits
i experienced a number of problems
1. if someone visited the site more than once, the hit counter would go up each time they visited. this is not really desired as i really only want to know how many unique hits i get
2. web bots and web crawlers would also make the counter go up
does the hit counter that iweb generates suffer from this problem?
how does it work - from total hits or only unique hits?
does anyone know it web crawlers effect the counter?

It is a hit counter and will register even when you visit the website.
I found this annoying, so I ditched the iWeb hit counter and went to Bravenet and downloaded a visit counter instead. You can customise your design and can have a visit counter instead of a hit counter and you can also set it to ignore your own hits - so if you want to visit your site to see how it looks it won't register your hit. The hit counter will register each time and for every page, whereas a visit counter will just register the visit to the first page and then thats it. If you use Bravenet it will give you stats too.
I am sure you can get hit counters and visit counters from lots of other sources though.

In FSCM Dispute Management, we have a requirment to include the sap work item in the email being sent by the workflow - WS01700044.
The underlying task in it is TS01707928. This Task sends an email to the outlook as well as work item to SAP inbox.
We want to include Sap Work item in email being sent to the outlook.
This will help the users to process the workitem directly from the email instead of going to SAP Inbox to process the work items.
Please suggest the possible ways.

For you kind of requirment you have to use tcode SWNCONFIG.
Through SWNCONFIG you can sent workitems to external email id.(exa. lotus notus/ outlook)

How to include row count in report

I have a report which shows list of available classes for students to register. One table called reg (which is not included in the report) keeps student_id and class_id numbers so that we know who signed up for which class.
I'd like to count rows in the reg table and group them by classid and then include results in the report so that we know how many students already signed up for each class. How can I do that?

I assume that you are providing the report with some SQL to pull in the available classes. Why don't you put in a sub select where you are doing a count on the other table?
So for example,
SELECT a.CLASSID, a.CLASSNAME, (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM STUDENTS where CLASSID = a.CLASSID ...Your group by, etc...) as Current FROM CLASSES

How To Create Link in Image in Email

I have an eMail campaign that a client wants to send out. Essentially, it is a jpeg ad (that they would like to embed into the email) and there is a spot in the ad where their web address is listed. They want to make the web address a live clickable link. Is there a way to do this in Mail? Or can I do it in Adobe ImageReady and then bring it into Mail somehow?

I actually did quite a bit of searching and found a very easy way to do it:
Do the image/html work however you want (photoshop/indesign/dreamweaver) load the final html file in a browser and hit “Command + I” which will automatically bring up a new Mail window with the html file embedded right in there. Adjust subject as necessary and send away. It’s not perfect, but it’ll work for smaller e-blasts.

How to include room name in subscriptions email?

I would like notifications and subscriptions sent from collaboration rooms to users via email to display the relevant room name that the subscription applies to. By default the emails display the room ID (609a34cc-eed4-2710-5492-987c69634cac) which gives no meaning to the user.

Hi Henning,
with NW03 SP13 the mails display the room's path instead of the RoomID.
As Collaboration Rooms are unknown to the Subscription Service, its not possible for the Subscrption Service to determin a Room's name.
Also there's currently no way to edit/add the properties used to render the subscription eMail. The only way I can immagine this might work is, parsing the path (given in the Mails XML/XSL) and try to determin the room name out of this information.

How to NOT embed attached image into email message...

Hi all, I am using nokia E6 anna as my workhorse. One problem I come across is that when I use Nokia Mail (@ovi.com) to send email with photo attachment, the receiver will get the email with that photo embedded into the message, rather than an attachment download option at the end. It causes inconvenience as sometimes I use the phone to send 8MP photo via email and such attached photo "stretches" the message big at the receiver side.
However, if I use mail for exchange with gmail to send photo, everything is OK, the attached photo doesn't embed into the message.

Thanks for the quick response.
Contact your local Care line who will be able to reset your Nokia Messaging account. This will most likely fix the issue if removing and adding the Ovi account hasn't worked. They will also be able to help you out if resetting the account doesn't make a difference.
In regards to the maximum email download size, this option is indeed not included in the E6. When developing an update we will always take the comments on the boards into consideration, so thank you for your feedback.

how do i transfer an image to email as a jpeg instead of the picture itself appearing on the email?

The way the attachments are displayed (if attached) are dependent on the recipient. You can't always dictate how they will receive the jpegs. Your best bet is to use the attach feature in your preferred Mail client.

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
