How to increase the heap size of the container in whioch BPEL is running ?

Hi All,
I recently raised an SR they have asked me to do the following,
Can you please try and start the container running the BPEL process with max
heap space (-Xmx) of 2 GB and the eden space (-Xmn) at about 60% of 1228m and
the option -XX:+AggressiveHeap set. (even though this option is recommended for
multi processor machines say 4)
can anyone kindly explain me how to increase the Heap size and Eden size of BPEL container ?
Thank You

Hi Deepak I cant see any attribute or element in the oc4j_opmn.xml file regarding heap memory. In the server properties I changed the size of heap memeory how can I rollback.
I am getting the following error

  • How to set  max-heap-size outside the jnlp file?

Due to bug_id=6631056 It may not be possible to specify max-heap-size within
the JNLP file for certain jnlp java applications.
Are there other possibilities to specify this Jvm parameter?
In the ControlPanel there is the possibility to specify Xmx for applets but not for jnlp.
I have tried to add properties like
    "deployment.javaws.jre.0.args=Xmx\=128M" without success
    Many thanks

Even in JNLP also you can specify the max heap size
    <j2se version="1.5+" initial-heap-size="128m" max-heap-size="512m"/>
    Thanks,

  • How to Increase Java Heap Size through Java Code. Increase inside Code?

    Hi All,
I am using a third party tool. When i run a particular program it says OutOfMemory error. I like to increase heap size through Java Code before calling the particular Java application or Code..
Is there is any way to set the Heap Size through Java Code in run time ???
    Pls Kindly help.
    Thanks.

if you start the program with a -Xmx512m flag, the virtual machine gets half a gigabyte of memory to use (or that's the max it's allowed to use). All things run in the same virtual machine will have the same limit, third party tools run in the same virtual machine can't "not care about this" unless they're throwing OOMs themselves for some stupid reason.

  • How to increase JVM Heap Size

    Hi all,
    Our Environment
    ===============
OS - Windows XP Service Pack 3
    Oracle Developer Suite - 10.1.2.3.0
Oracle Forms & Reports Service 10.1.2.3.0
    Oracle Database 10.2.0.1.0
    JDK 1.5
    Jinitiator 1.3.1.30
    Apache POI 3.5
From forms we are writing to excel files after copying XL template using Apache POI 3.5 and JDK 1.5. This XL template file has got lot of macros.
We have imported the Java class files into form as pl/sql library. We are able to write upto 7Mb size of XL file. Beyond that size it comes with the error Ora-105101.
We tried to increase the JVM Heap Size to 640M by setting values -Xmx640M everywhere in OC4J_BI_FORMS/Server Properties/Java Options, Home/Server Properties/Java Options through Enterprise Manager console. Also manually set the values in OPMN.XML and reloaded the same. Also set -Xmx640M in Jinitiator 1.3.1.30 Java Runtime Parameters. Also set in Java console. All settings have no effect.
We have written a small program to display the run time memory from forms, which displays only maximum memory 63M all the time.

Can anyone tell me where I am wrong... Can we increase the JVM Heap Size from forms...

    I have a simular problem.
Via Forms I call a Java class (import Java class -> PL/SQL class java method).
For this specific process I need to set the Xmx java option...
How do I do this ?
Changing the java option for the Forms-OC4J in the EM doesn't help.
Is there an other level where I can modify this ?
Does the java process of the forms is the single process that exists ? How does he handles such java calls?
Are that separed java processes ? threads ? ....
    Thanks !!!

    Regards,

Locate opmn.xml on your instance. In file locate section relevant for container you use (i.e. "home"). In next line you can see tags where startup parameters are set. You should add following parameters (this will set heap size on 512Mb)
    -Xms512m -Xmx512m
For detailed explanation I would recommend you to check following link:
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_03/web.1013/b14431/troublesht.htm
    Hope this help.

  • How to set the heap size in adminstrative console

    Hi All,
Please let me know how to increase heap size in weblogic Adminstrative console.
    Regards
    Madhu

The answer to this depends on whether you're trying to set the heap size for a manager server which is managed by NodeManager, or the admin server.
First click on "Lock and Edit".
If the former, go into "Environment"->"Servers", then click on the server you want to configure. This should start you on the "Configuration"->"General" tab. Now click on the "Server Start" tab. Find the "Arguments" field. Assuming this is blank, put something like the following in the field value:
    -Xmx1536m
Then click "Save", then "Activate Changes". When you restart the managed server the next time, it should use those new settings.
If, however, you're trying to set this on the admin server, you can't do this in the admin console at all. In that case, go into $DOMAIN_HOME/bin and edit the "setDomainEnv.{sh,cmd}" script (".sh" if on Unix/Linux, ".cmd" on Windows). Find the line that sets the "MEM_ARGS" variable, like the following on Windows:
    set MEM_ARGS=-Xms256m -Xmx512m
Change this line to whatever you want, then restart the admin server.

If you set a higher Page Zoom level for that website Firefox should remember that zoom level and restore that level when you return to that website. See this:

That feature doesn't work in the Private Browsing mode, and you'll lose that setting if you clear your browser history.

Have you noticed any difference between your MacBook and others at the Apple store? Wondering whether this is a configurable setting at the system level, i.e., DPI.
You can default Firefox to a larger zoom level to avoid having to zoom every page. You'll still be able to adjust the size for individual sites as needed. It sounds as though you are aware of these add-ons:
    * Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
    * NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/
There are some discussions about changing coming in Firefox 22 (I think) to address higher density displays like the Retina display. So perhaps there will be a built-in setting to address this in the future.

    Hi James,
weblogic.rjvm.PeerGoneException is basically caused due to a network failure between the peers like message producer and the consumer failing to communicate in the specified time frame.
240 seconds is the default value for the t3 connection timeout, if the peer is not getting response for 240 seconds. Then it would timed out.
This value can be tuned, however it is not recommended.
Can you check the network traffic and see if any network glitches causing the issue?
Also check whether you are trying to send large messages over a slow network causing the delay.
You can capture the thread dumps as well to get more insights on the issue.

  • How to increase the font size in the safari tool bar

    Hello,
I am trying to set-up Yosemite for my mom who is a senior.  The toolbar and address bar for safari seem to be quite small.  Does anyone know how to increase the font size in the tool bar and address bar?  I already figured out to make the font size bigger on a webpage which is nice but the rest of the interface, though pleasing to look at, is quite miniscule.
    Hope someone can help.

I too would like an easier way to do it. The only way that I have found  (& it works for all applications, desktops Document & Download files) is to decrease the size of your Screen display from 2560 by 1440 ( this is your "Default for display") to 1920 by 1080. This is accomplished by going to "Accessibility Preferences" in your menu bar or through Systems  Preferences and choosing the DISPLAY icon, then unchecking the "Default for Display" Setting and then check "Scaled".
Your screen resolutions will then appear in the drop down box & you can choose a smaller display (e.g. 1920 x 1440), then all print will appear larger on the screen.
If anyone knows a slicker way, I 'm all ears (actually "eyes" would be more appropriate.
    I hope this helps you.

  • How to increase the font size of the ALV Print

    Hello Experts,
How can we increase the font size while printing an ALV report? I tried searching the fourms for a solution from the previous postings, but could not find a "clear" answer. Thanks for the help.

    Hi,
The size of the page is fixed, and if all the fields have to be there, then the font size will have to be decreased. So, if the no. of fields are less, it automatically increases thefont  size and prints.
The size of the font in the printout is directly related to the line-size of the output on the screen. When we do the print, we check that the output format is optimal for the size of the line. For example, in the print dialog, check that the format is related to the size of your line. If there are 132 characters across, then choose format like X_65_132.
    thanks,
    Archana
