How to insert company logo and page number on every page except the first page?

Hi, I am creating a newspaper and I've inserted the page number and company name on every page using the master page (you know the basic method).
Problem is I don't want the page number or the logo to appear on the first page, how can I do this?
Or will I have to copy and paste it on each page instead...? I'd rather not.
I'd appreciate any help I can get.
P.S. I'm using CS5 and obviously I'm talking about InDesign.

Make another master and apply it to the first page.

That is not the issue.
Pages/OSX does not save files with crop marks and bleeds.
It also by default saves transparency, which is involved in a lot of Pages' better features, at a rubbishy 72 dpi resolution.
It also makes it extremely difficult to maintain mono-color like black only text, has no spot color and makes color management opaque.
It really is only meant for amateur publishing and printing to your desktop printer.
A commercial printer who is willing to use and print from Pages may have better results but at the cost of considerable micro-management which defeats the point of this "cheap" solution.

Firefox cuts off the URL in your printout, if it's really long, and you also have on the same line (header or footer), the Date and Pages

I have two questions:
To fix, do a custom setting, for the Header and Footer as follows:
Print / Page Setup / Margins & Header/Footer / "Customize" the "Left" as follows (leave Center and Right all blank)

To change the format of the Short date in Win 8.1, go to:
Control Panel / Date and Time / Date and Time tab / Change date and time / Change calendar settings /

QUESTIONS:
1.) How do you get rid of the time, which appears after the date? In IE, you use a lowercase "d" - but that doesn't work here.
2.) Is there a way to change the font just for the Header and Footer, to something like Microsoft Sans Serif 10?
Firefox leaves no room around the text in the Header and Footer at the edge. To fix:
Address Bar / about:config
Enter keyword "edge"
Then change all four values for the printer you're using to:
print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_bottom . . . 5

If you search the Business Objects Articles (see the link to the left on this page) for Export Limitations documents you'll see that page footers/headers are not supported when exporting to Text format (same for Page N of M.
If you open up a text file in Notepad - you'll notice that there is no Insert | Page Break (as there is in MS Word).
CR can't possibly know in advance where the page breaks will occur in a text document (or the application in which the document is opened) so most anything in CR having to do with pagination is not supported when exporting to Text.
The Export Limitations document is a handy item if you do a lot of exporting.

How to derive Company Code and Vendor Number from CDHDR / CDPOS ?

This is my first post and my apologies if this is a wrong forum to ask this.
I'm creating an analytic that will track changes to the vendor master. I know that I have to look into CDHDR and CDPOS tables and that CDHDR.OBJECTCLAS = KRED.
However, part of the requirements is to be able to filter the results by Company Code and Vendor Number as well. How do I do this? How can I link CDHDR to LFA1/LFB1 to get the company code and vendor code?

I think you would have gotten answers sooner in the abap forum :P. Anyways the change pointer tables are kept in a different format, not in the normal flatly structured tables. What this means is that the data which comes through the pointer tables are somewhat encrypted. The object class and id present you records; Each change in master data (where the option is set) is recorded in these pointer tables.
I believe there is a function module for converting the data into a readable format; that data should have your company code/vendor number in it. You cannot link the chdr and lfa tables directly- you will need to first convert the data from the pointer tables

When printing a multi-page document, my computer only prints the first page. How do I correct this problem?

Using Explorer, I found how to correct this problem by going to "print preview" then selecting an option to print all pages. Firefox does not have the same selection.

This can happen when Firefox has misread the paper size from the information supplied by Windows. Clearing it can involve finding some obscure settings, but here goes:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''print''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) For each setting for the problem printer, right-click and Reset it. The fastest way is to right-click with the mouse and then press the r key on the keyboard with your other hand.
Note: In a couple other threads involving Brother printers, the preference '''printer_printer_name.print_paper_data''' was set to 256 and when the user edited it to 1 that fixed the paper size problem. If you see a 256 there, you can edit the value by doubling-clicking it or using right-click>Modify.

I try to print a 4 page site at less than 100% the first page comes out right and the others revert to 100%. How can I change this?

I am working on an iMac, OS10.6.8.
There is a certain web form that I must fill out regularly. It is long and consists of several pages. I wish to keep either a PDF or printed copy of my completed forms. I change the percentage in Page Setup and when I go to print or make the PDF the pages after page 1 revert to 100% and copy is omitted between pages 1 and 2.

You may have to crop pages to get the effect that you want. If you have the original, it would probably be easier to edit that and create a new PDF.

When I try to open my pictures with Preview it says I don't have permission to view it? How do I fix that and why is it doing that in the first place?

In Mountain Lion, I considered myself a fairly expert user of Pages. Since "upgrading" to Mavericks, I can't get even basic things to work anymore. My current problem is that the headers and footers are only showing up on the first page of each section. A related annoyance is that if I copy the information in a header or footer, all the associated formatting disappears when I paste it. But the first problem is the one that matters — headers and footers that only show up on one page sort of negate the whole point of headers and footers.

My company recently loaded foxfire and I cannot have two applications open in foxfire, the second page overlays the first and I cannot go back to the previous page or reduce the first page to view the first.

My pages in Foxfore are overlaying one another which is normal but you cannot get back to the previous page. An example is if I have a page opened in a program and open something totally different it replaces the first page and I cannot reduce the size to see the first page I was viewing nor go back to it. I did open a page with audio and opened another application in foxfire and the replacing went on as usual but the audio continued to play so the page is stinn there. Also the tool bar page showing icon is replaced with the newly opened page not an additional page opened being shown as a tab. It's like the newest page or site I open in Foxfire replaces the one that is currently opened.

How do I get back to the first page of an application when I'm in the middle of it?

I'm sure there's an easy answer for this, but I can't find it. If I'm in the middle of an application, say iBook, and I want to get back to the first page of that application, how do I do it? When I tap on HOME, I go back to the home page with all the icons. I want to go to another page within the application I'm in? I've been stuck in iBook for an hour.....I don't know how to get back to the first page in that application. Thanks.

The shelves should show the ibooks that you've got in the app i.e. your downloaded purchases from the iBookstore. At the top of the shelves there should also be a Store button (for browsing, purchasing, re-downloading books from the iBookstore), and Collections (where any PDFs that you've synced/copied into the app go).

In my portfolio, one document of 6 pages, only the first page appears and i can't move to the other

Am making
up a portfolio of different pdfs. 1 document has 6 pages, but I can only see the first page. When I worked on it at home, an arrow
appeared at the bottom of the first page by which I could move to the other pages. Now here at work, there is no arrow and it is just stuck on the first page. I am working with Acrobat X.

Support for viewing PDFs in emails and web-pages is built in to the iPad. You need not have bought an app for that.
There are PDF apps that provide more features than the built-in functionality, but for basic viewing of multi-page PDFs no app is required.
