How to install Adobe Premiere 6.0 on Windows Vista

I purchased Adobe Prmiere 6.0 11 years ago  and installed it on my computer which was running Windows Millenium at the time
I now wish to install and run this program ( Adobe Premiere 6.0 ) on my Window Vista.
I have the serial  number
When I try and insert the disc and run the program with autorun in the pop up box that  appears nothing happens
So I go to Start--My Computer--Disc--Explore--I chose Autorun and I get this message
" The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running.
Check your computers systems information to see whether you need an x86(32 bit)
or x64(64 bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher "
My computer is running a ------64 bit Operating System
                                                2 Duo CPU 2.80 GHz
So now what do I need to do ?
Is this a lost cause.
Can I get this program and it's software to run on Vista ?

You should post to the Premiere CS4 & Earlier Forum, as this is for Premiere Elements, a different program.
There are several people, still using Pr 6.0, who frequent that forum, and might have some insight on which OS's, it will install and run on.
Good luck,
Hunt

How to download Adobe Premiere pro CS5 for windows to my new imac 27 inch

IMHO Windows would be the place to start.
Why do you want to load CS5 for Windows?
Adobe does produce a version of CS5 that runs on OS X so that it would not be necessary for you to have to screw around with Windows. Personally that would be the way to go and avoid the hassles of Windows.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 4 Crash - Windows Vista

After approximately 14 to 16 seconds of viewing any .mod video file recorded from my JVC Everio camcorder a Windows error message appears and Adobe Premiere Elements 4 immediately crashes. Is there a patch or fix for such a problem? I have checked that my computer system meets the system requirements and I am unsure what else to do other than returning the software?
    Error message in full reads:
"Adobe Premiere Elements.exe has stopped working. A problem causeed the program to stop working correctly. Windows will closs the program and notify you if a solution is available"

My objective is to handle MOD files from a JVC Everio Hard Drive Camcorder with Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 (PE4) as PE4 crashes after a little while when using MOD or MPG files.
Sorry Steve but I dont want to use the software that came with the JVC Everio camcorder. I bought PE4 (in euros ...) to use it. By the way MOV files used by QuickTime have nothing to do with MOD files from JVC Everio camcorder! Yes I know, it's confusing.
After some months of useless forums, reading, hardworking and frustration, I finally found a solution to the problem!! PE5 works quite well and no crashes have occurred so far....
Here it is. It's not straightforward as you have to use two different free programs but the method is simple to follow.
    1. Transfer MOD video files from the JVC Everio camcorder to the PC.
    2. Convert MOD files into MPEG2 files with the help of a freeware program (I used Converio)
    3. Convert MPG files into DV-AVI files using Free Video Converter.
This free program is very simple to use and DV-avi files output is compatible with PE4 which is not the case with some other conversion programs.
As DV-AVI files are not compressed, they are more easily handled by video programs.
I havent been able to directly transform JVC MOD files into files fully compatible with PE4. If someone knows how to do this, please tell me.
In conclusion, I feel it is unacceptable that neither JVC nor Adobe offer the compatibility of their products. The information provided by these reputable companies is deceitful for unaware users and sometimes wrong.

  • Unable to Install Adobe Air 2.0 on Windows Vista

I have been having trouble with Adobe Air for a while now. I had Adobe Air installed for TweetDeck, but in the past couple months, every time I tried to update TweetDeck, I get the error, "Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator." Then I tried uninstalling Adobe Air through Add/Remove programs in Control Panel and that did not work. I tried uninstalling through Command Line, but I kept getting a fail message. Finally, I removed it manually by removing the Adobe Air folder from my Common Files and then was able to remove Adobe Air from Add/Remove Programs. Now I am trying to reinstall Adobe Air 2.0 and I am getting the same error message. "An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator." Your Support page says to use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility but it is no longer available. Please help.

  • Cannot install Adobe Acrobat X Pro on Windows Vista ultimate

    Here are additional Details:
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5450 @1,66GHz 1,67 GHz
    Memory(RAM): 2046 MB
    System type: 32-bit Operating System
    Is anything possible?
Which version of Adobe Acrobat would you recommend?

    Hi Zurab,
It sounds like you might not have SP2 installed for WIndows Vista.  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatpro/tech-specs.html
Acrobat 9 did not require any Vista Service packs to be installed.

  • Where do I find the file to install Adobe Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 7 64 bits?

Hi there. I ran a little search on the forum for that subject but I couldn't find it. So, if it is a double post or something like that, I'm sorry, and please lead me to where it was already talked about.
The thing is: I bought the downloadable bundle with Premiere Elements 10 and Photoshop Elements 10 and I have the links to download them on my account, no problem. I installed them both on my Windows XP last year and that was ok.
Yesterday I upgraded my PC and now I have Windows 7 64 bits on. I could install Photoshop Elements just fine, but when I try to install Premiere Elements 10, the following error message appears.
So, what do I do? I looked for it on my account again and there is no other file there, just the same file I used before on Windows XP and I'm trying to use now, just like with Photoshop Elements 10, but that worked just fine.
And that leads to my question that is the name of this discusssion. Can someone help me? I live in Brazil and I didn't want to call phone support, and since I didn't find any free agent to call me on chat support, I decided to go here.
I hope you guys can help me and thank you in advance.
    My best regards,
    Joao Jose Gois

Hi Jeff, thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately it didn't work, but I guess that you helped me to really find the issue here.
I really have only one installer available to me, for both Photoshop Elements and for Premiere Elements. However they have a slight difference in the file name.
On Photoshop, when I download the files, their names are just "Photoshoplements_10_LS15" and the extension. However, on Premiere, after the name of the program there is "win32" and only then we get to the extension file.
So, I only have access to Win32 download. Even if I click on the "Alternate Download Method", I can only see two files: One that is the .7z file and the .exe, but both saying "win32" in the name.
I still can't install it in here.
Is there any mail that I can send to adobe support? When I go to Brazilian Adobe Online Store and click on Support, I'm always redirected to the '.com' website and I end up here.
Once again, thank you all in advance for all the help or attention for this thread.
    Regards,
    Joao Jose Gois

  • Trying to install Adobe premiere Elements 10 on windows 7

I purchased the Adobe Pemiere Elements 10 and tryed to install it in windows 7. Got the 2nd disk to process it and after "restart the computer" I received a web message "webpage has expired". I tryed again and it said " Oops, resources are down. Now What?

  • Installing Adobe Photoshop CS4 on my Windows Vista 32bit system

I have downloaded the download manager from your (Adobe) site and also downloaded the "Trial version" of Adobe Photoshop CS4. Both downloads complete, but when the installation gets to about 70 - 75% my computer crashes with the "Blue"screen informing me about what to do if this is the first time that it has happened and showing the memory dump "stats". So can anyone tell me what either I am doing wrong or what I should be doing differently to get this program installed? I would appreciate any and ALL help in this matter! Thank you in advance for your assistence with this issue.

Please provide the info of the "fault module" listed on the BSOD. As Zeno said, it is highly unlikely that PS is the issue here, but rather a bad system driver or security tool that conks out when PS tries to install its components. Also provide more info about your system configuration.

  • Trying to install Adobe Flash: Internet Explorer 9; Windows Vista 32 bit

During installation process and when prompted, I close IE. However, adobe executable prompts, again, to close IE.  Repeated attempts to "continue" installation result in same message to close IE.
I have no Flash versions on my computer.
    Help!

Probably you still have IE process running even you close IE and disappeared from your desktop. You should check IE process in taskmanager and kill it for Flash Player installation. Or you can restart your computer and run downloaded/saved 'install_flashplayer11x32ax_***_aih.exe' file.

  • Unable to install Adobe Premiere 10

While attempting to install Adobe Premiere 10, I get an error
message stating that the installation wizard does not support 64
bit processing, even though the program is designed for 64 bit
machines.  How can I overcome this most difficult problem?
Attempted to install from the files in the program and this also failed.
The program was part of a bundle with Adobe Photoshop elements 10
which installed without a problem. I am using Windows 7, 64 bit.

David2604 since you have the Photoshop/Premiere Elements 10 bundle you will want to install the 64-bit version which is found on disc two.  You might also want to review Install | Adobe Premiere Elements | Photoshop Elements | Windows | Mac OS.

  • Cannot install Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on Windows

I have been trying to install Photoshop Elements for that last half hour and I cannot get past the language selection screen. When I put the DVD in, it runs automatically. When I select the button to download Photoshop Elements 10, I am then taken to a screen to select my language. After selecting "English", nothing happens. Any suggestions?

After selecting your language you will need to click on the Accept button to accept the End User License Agreement.  Once the EULA is accepted you should be able to proceed with your installation.  I would also recommend reviewing Install | Adobe Premiere Elements | Photoshop Elements | Windows | Mac OS.
