How to Install Cocoon 2 into Weblogic 6.0

My department has worked out the following steps to install C2 into Weblogic
6.0.
1. Start a DOS window.
2. Go to the top directory of the disk where BEA is mounted.
cd \
3. Log in to CVS:
cvs -d :pserver:[email protected]:/home/cvspublic login
4. Checkout Cocoon 2 from CVS:
cvs -d :pserver:[email protected]:/home/cvspublic -z3 checkout
xml-cocoon2
Wait for several minutes for the source files to download.
5. Go into resulting directory:
cd \xml-cocoon2
6. Build Cocoon 2 by doing 6a or 6b.
6a. If you are running Windows, run:
build.bat
On my machine, this took 15 seconds; your mileage may vary.
6b. If you are running unix, run:
build.sh
7. If you haven't done so already, build a domain and a server. In this
discussion, the name of the domain is 'mydomain' and the name of the server
is 'myserver'.
These are the BEA default names.
8. In Windows Explorer, drag COPY (i.e. hold the ctrl key down) the
directory
C:\xml-cocoon2\webapp
to
c:\bea\wlserver6.0sp1\config\mydomain\applications
(if in Unix, do the Unix equivalent.)
9. Rename the newly created folder
c:\bea\wlserver6.0sp1\config\mydomain\applications\webapp
to
c:\bea\wlserver6.0sp1\config\mydomain\applications\cocoon
10. Edit the following file
C:\bea\wlserver6.0sp1\config\mydomain\startWebLogic.cmd
to modify the classpath with the following lines:
set COCOON_ROOT=c:\xml-cocoon2
set
COCOONCLASSPATH="%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\xerces_1_3_1.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\xalan-
2.0.1.jar;%JA
VA_HOME%\lib\tools.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\build\cocoon\cocoon.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\l
ib\logkit.jar
;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\w3c.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\fop-0_18_1.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\li
b\avalon-fram
ework.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\avalon-excalibur.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\bsf.jar;%
COCOON_ROOT%\
lib\batik-all.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\hsqldb.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\jakarta-reg
exp-1.2.jar;%
COCOON_ROOT%\lib\javac.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\jimi-1.0.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\
jstyle.jar;%C
OCOON_ROOT%\lib\xt.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\maybeupload.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\r
hino.jar;%COC
OON_ROOT%\lib\Tidy.jar;%COCOON_ROOT%\lib\velocity-1.0.1-rc1.jar"
set CLASSPATH=.;.\lib\weblogic_sp.jar;.\lib\weblogic.jar
set CLASSPATH=%COCOONCLASSPATH%;%CLASSPATH%
11. Continue to edit the same file by inserting the following system
property into the java run command for Weblogic:
-Dorg.apache.cocoon.components.parser.Parser=org.apache.cocoon.component
s.parser.XercesPa rser
In other words, after you modify the java run command, it should look
something like this:
"%JAVA_HOME%\bin\java" -hotspot -ms64m -mx64m -classpath
%CLASSPATH% -Dorg.apache.cocoon.components.parser.Parser=org.apache.cocoon.c
omponents.parser.XercesPa
rser -Dweblogic.Domain=mydomain -Dweblogic.Name=myserver "-Dbea.home=C:\bea"
"-Djava.security.policy=C:\bea\wlserver6.0sp1/lib/weblogic.policy" -Dweblogi
c.management.password=%WLS_PW% weblogic.Server
12. Save the startWebLogic.cmd file.
13. Run the startWebLogic.cmd file.
14. Using a browser, link to your web site's cocoon page:
http://<your machine name>:<port number>/cocoon/
(Don't forget the final / in the link)
15. You should see the Cocoon welcome page.
Hope this helps,
Scott

Hi Dipendra,
                     For running the Adobe application You need to configure some thing in both Java as well as in ABAP stack for that abobe form application to work. You need to do some configuration in the Visual administrator for Java & also in the ABAP stack sidi using your SAP user id line creating ADSUSER , ADS_AGENT    user id creation and roles assignment and RFC destination creation etc..
Just refer these documents for the installation and post-configuration of Adobe Document Service on NW2004s.

    Hi,
    9iFS must be installed in an 9i home type. So you must have it installed in a single box in your 9i DB home. You must use the Apache server of the DB, because the installer will modify the configuration files of this Apache, not this of 9iAS.
    After just modify the port the 9i apache is listening (use 81 instead of 80 for example).
    Be careful that if you install a new apache for the 9i database, your vw_gateway_cfg environment variable will be changed and will point to the 9i home instead of the 9ias home. So you have to change it back to your 9iAS home if you want to use the portal !!!!

  • How to install Workshop for WebLogic and WebLogic Portal?

    Hi All,
    I am new to Weblogic Portal. I would like to start learning Oracle Weblogic Portals..
    Can anyone please guide me, how to install Workshop for WebLogic and WebLogic Portal?
    As per the ""Tutorials – Getting Started with WebLogic Portal"" (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13155_01/wlp/docs103/tutorials/setup_dev_env.html)
    we need to install the Workshop for WebLogic and WebLogic Portal.
    Please suggest me where should i get the required environments/IDE?
    Thanks,
    Harish.

    Hi Harish
    1. If this is your first time with Weblogic Portal, I would recommend to download the latest Weblogic Portal Software Rel 10.3.2 from this bottom link. Check Accept Radio button, for windows download windows installer. Its about 1 GB file. This software includes Eclipse IDE, Weblogic Server and Weblogic Portal.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/wlp/index.html
    2. During the installation process, make sure at one point you select Custom mode (NOT default Typical mode). In next following screens you will see all bundles checked EXCEPT for Samples. So make sure you check Samples Check box both under Weblogic Server and Weblogic Portal. Then proceed. This will install full Weblogic Workshop (Eclipse IDE), Weblogic Server and Weblogic Portal. This is the good installation package. Also it will install samples for Portal and Server. If you select all default typical mode, it will NOT install samples. You can install samples later on also, but its good at installation time itself you select custom and check Samples also.
    3. WLP 10.3.2 uses Eclipse IDE. If you are familiar with Eclipse IDE this should be helpful. Otherwise also, its ok.
    4. For learning WLP, in Eclipse IDE, you need to create Portal EAR Project, then Portal Web Project. Inside portal web project create simple jsp hello world portlets and a simple portal.
    5. For Deploying and Testing Portal application you need to create Portal Domain using config wizard. You can see this from Start -> Programs -> Oracle Weblogic Portal shortcut -> Weblogic Server -> Tools -> Configuration Wizard.
    6. You can start Workshop IDE from Start -> Program Files -> Oracle Weblogic Portal ...-> Eclipse For Weblogic 10.3.2
    Here are the links for quick start guide for portal development. Please do refer them.

  • How to install FB into multiple instances of Eclipse

    I have multiple instances of eclipse (various versions and

    one than one instance of Eclipse?

    You need to pass a reference of the StatisiticalStore instance to the ExcelReader class. See the updated code below.
    public class StatisticalStore
         static int evaluatedDataLength = 3;
         private double forecasts[];
         static int x=0;
         public StatisticalStore()
              initialiseStore();
         public void initialiseStore()
              forecasts = new double [evaluatedDataLength];
         public void updateStore(double singlePrediction)
              forecasts[x] = singlePrediction;
              x++;
         public static void main (String args[])
              StatisticalStore store = new StatisticalStore();
              ExcelReader excelSheet = new ExcelReader(store);
              ExcelReader excelSheet1 = new ExcelReader(store);
              ExcelReader excelSheet2 = new ExcelReader(store);
              for ( int i=0; i<evaluatedDataLength; i++)
                   System.out.println(store.forecasts);
    class ExcelReader

              updateStatisticalStore();
         public void generateRandom()
              aNumber = Math.random();
         public void updateStatisticalStore()
              store.updateStore((aNumber*store.evaluatedDataLength)-1);

    Fonts are handled by your operating system and installed through the respective System Control panel (Windows) or Fontbook (Mac). On Windows simply type "Fonts" in the search bar in the start menu and when you open the panel/ folder use File --> Add Font. On Mac the procedures are similar, you just need to find the Fontbook app in Applications:Utilities.

  • How to install Fonts into Adobe Illustrator

    I am using a computer that runs on Snow Leopard 10.6.8
    Hi there I want to know  how to install new Fonts / Typefaces into Adobe Illustrator CS3?
    I am also curious as to how I would install fonts on other Adobe CS applications?
    All help, links, and resources much appreciated.

    I just dragged and dropped the downloaded ".tff" font files into in Font Book icon in theDock and a new window popped up and just click "Install Font" button.
    That works, too. Sets are, more than anything else, just a way to organize your fonts by project. By dropping the font in, it should now be listed in one of the standard headings like "Computer".
    The new fonts have automatically loaded into Adobe Illustrator CS3 without having to close it.
    Better apps will see when fonts have been enabled or disabled without having to close and restart them. Microsoft Word (and likely the entire Office suite) does not.

  • How to install TopLink_CMP_2_0 for Weblogic 10.3.4 (11g Release 1)

    Hi
    I am trying to migrate EJB2.x code from JBoss to Weblogic 10.3.4.
    The entity bean description in my weblogic-ejb.jar looks like below.
    <weblogic-enterprise-bean>
    <ejb-name>UserProfile</ejb-name>
    <entity-descriptor>
    <persistence>
    <persistence-use>
    <type-identifier>WebLogic_CMP_RDBMS</type-identifier>
    <type-version>7.0</type-version>
    <type-storage>META-INF/weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml</type-storage>
    </persistence-use>
    </persistence>
    </entity-descriptor>
    <local-jndi-name>ejb/LocalUserProfile</local-jndi-name>
    </weblogic-enterprise-bean>
    I get error Error while reading 'META-INF/weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml' when deploying to server as I posted in another thread at Error in deploying entity beans - migration from JBoss to Weblogic 10.3.4
    The information on the page http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_05/web.1013/b13593/depcr008.htm tells that the supported persistent type for EJB2.0 is TopLink_CMP_2_0.
    When I modify above entity description accordingly, the deployment throws exception that "*TopLink_CMP_2_0*" is not installed.
    Can someone suggest me how to install the persistent type? Also please let me know if my approach to migration is correct.

  • [SOLVED] texlive2k8 -- how to install omega into $HOME?

    Hi folks!
    Because the omega-collection is declared obsolete and therefor no more provided in texlive2008. That's bad, because I used it with tl2k7, and though I appreciate xelatex and cjklatex, I still need lambda very badly. So I want to have it installed it now in $HOME for several reasons:
    * I could probably install it systemwide as root somehow, but I'd like to avoid conflicts with pacman...
    * ...as omega shouldn't be overidden by systemwide tl-package-updates
    * I want to have one specific user make use of it
    * I can 'take it with me' (like the whole $HOME-dir) then so that I mustn't isntall it again, just to copy and rehash it (somehow) after setting up a new linux- or tl-system.
    -- And yes, I haven't any experience yet on how to install external latex-packages, so hence omega is a "collection" makes it even more difficult for me~
    The destination dirs should be ~/.mytexmf (bec. I'd like to have it hidden) and ~/.texlive/*. Therefore I edited /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf like this:
    % TEXMFHOME = ~/texmf % default
    TEXMFHOME = ~/.mytexmf
    TEXMFVAR = ~/.texlive/texmf-var
    TEXMFCONFIG = ~/.texlive/texmf-config
    TEXMF = {$TEXMFCONFIG,$TEXMFVAR,!!$TEXMFHOME,!!$TEXMFSYSCONFIG,!!$TEXMFSYSVAR,!!$TEXMFMAIN,!!$TEXMFLOCAL,!!$TEXMFDIST}
    TEXMFDBS = {!!$TEXMFSYSCONFIG,!!$TEXMFSYSVAR,!!$TEXMFMAIN,!!$TEXMFLOCAL,!!$TEXMFDIST,!!$TEXMFDOC,$TEXMFHOME}
    (I don't know really the meaning of adding !! and if it's necessary here; I read somewhere, that !! makes a directory 'ls-R'-able, but then users tend to forget to update it also and that's why that should be avoided.)
    The first problems arise here, because a $ texhash still returns
    texhash: /usr/share/texmf: directory not writable. Skipping...
    texhash: /usr/share/texmf-config: directory not writable. Skipping...
    texhash: /usr/share/texmf-dist: directory not writable. Skipping...
    texhash: /usr/share/texmf-doc: directory not writable. Skipping...
    texhash: /usr/share/texmf-var: directory not writable. Skipping...
    texhash: Done.
    though the my paths are correct and even the exports included into ~/.bash_profile:
    $ kpsewhich --var-value=TEXMFCONFIG ((aka kpsexpand '$TEXMFCONFIG'...))
    home/myuser/.texlive/texmf-config
    $ kpsewhich --var-value=TEXMFVAR
    /home/myuser/.texlive/texmf-var
    $ kpsewhich --var-value=TEXMFHOME
    home/myuser/.mytexmf
    Next point: The easiest way would be to run tlmgr for instaling the omega-collection, but either it is (still) not existing within the Arch-TL-installation (couldn't figure out that here or find it in AUR) -- or I'm just to stupid to find and to launch it; I also couldn't run it from a mounted texlive2008.iso yet -- but if, how would the iso's-tlmgr know about my installed texlive-system? Nevertheless tlmgr probably wouldn't find the necessary files (though there's some data with 'omega') on the tl2k8-iso, it could install it properly from an external place.
    Then I mounted my old tl2k7.iso and went to the mountpoint for executing $ sh install-pkg.sh --collection=omega, with similar errors:
    /bin/tar: texmf-dist/fonts/afm/public/omega/omseco.afm: cannot execute open: file or directory not found
    /bin/tar: texmf-dist/fonts/afm/public/omega/omsecob.afm: cannot execute open: file or directory not found
    /bin/tar: texmf-dist/fonts/afm/public/omega/omsecobi.afm: cannot execute open: file or directory not found
    /bin/tar: texmf/lists/omega: cannot execute open: file or directory not found
    /bin/tar: texmf/tpm/bin-omega.tpm: cannot execute open: file or directory not found
    /bin/tar: texmf/web2c/omega.pool: cannot execute open: not authorized
    /bin/tar: exited because of preceeding errors.
    install-pkg.sh: line 213: /usr/share/texmf-config/tex/generic/config/language.dat: not authorized
    mktexlsr: /usr/share/texmf: directory not writable. Skipping...
    mktexlsr: /usr/share/texmf-dist: directory not writable. Skipping...
    mktexlsr: Done.
    updmap: config file `updmap.cfg' not found.
    PLEASE RUN texconfig or texconfig-sys to make new formats.
    (texconfig --rehash/texhash [as user or root] didnt't make any difference.)
    I also tar-ed omega
    $ sh install-pkg.sh --package=omega --archive=/home/myuser/.mytexmf/_tl-omega_rc/omega-sty.tar
    and extracted it into the appropriate directories within ~/.texlive and ~/.mytexmf and made symbolic links into /usr/bin for lambda and omega. But again 'of course' texhash (as user or root) didn't show any effect~
    I hope everthing is understandable.
    So how can I install omega/lambda in $HOME via install-scipt or tlmgr (if it exists and I can get it to run)?
    Any hints? -- Thanks very much in advance!

    Well, tlmgr is of course on the mounted iso TL2k8 (just mixed s.th. up~), but it does not start:
    # /mnt/bin/i386-linux/tlmgr
    Can't locate TeXLive/TLPOBJ.pm in @INC (@INC contains: //tlpkg /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0 /usr/share/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib/perl5/core_perl /usr/share/perl5/core_perl /usr/lib/perl5/current /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/current .) at /mnt/bin/i386-linux/tlmgr line 33.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /mnt/bin/i386-linux/tlmgr line 33.
    where line 33 is this:
    use TeXLive::TLPOBJ;
    and I don't know what to do here~
    And neither works installing from the mounted TL2k7-iso, even when I try to install omega/lambda into my main texmf:
    # sh install-pkg.sh --collection=omega
    (ignoring dependency on collection collection-basic)
    cat: language.*.dat: file or directory not found.
    mktexlsr: Updating /usr/share/texmf/ls-R...
    mktexlsr: Updating /usr/share/texmf-dist/ls-R...
    mktexlsr: Done.
    updmap: config file `updmap.cfg' not found.
    PLEASE RUN texconfig or texconfig-sys to make new formats.
    texconfig-sys makes no change. But this is funny because there are several 'updmap.cfg's:
    # locate updmap.cfg
    /home/myuser/.mytexmf/home/myuser/.texlive/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg
    /usr/share/man/man5/updmap.cfg.5
    /usr/share/texmf/web2c/updmap.cfg
    /usr/share/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg
    (and I wonder why this directories and files indeed exist~:
    /home/myuser/.mytexmf/home/myuser/.texlive/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg
    I ran mktexlsr in my specific directories in HOME again though i don't know if this is really necessary, with the same result: these directories are not recognized, only those in /usr/share...
    Tried then
    # fmtutil --byfmt lambda
    # fmtutil --byfmt omega
    but with no output.
    Edits from my /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf:

  • How to install Java3d into netbeans 6.5

    I recently downloaded the Java 3D file : j3d-1_5_2-xxxxxx but I don't really know how to "install" it. I looked and found a thing on how to insall it on netbeans but the place they are telling me to go to doesn't exist. I am using netbeans 6.5 and supposedly you are supposed to install the J3D.nbm or something into netbeans but i can't find that inside of my downloaded folder. Is there something I did wrong i.e. downloaded the wrong thing, are looking in the wrong place, are missing somthing please tell me.
    Thanks

    Just posting an update. I found that a place that says you need to go here to download the module for netbeans to install it:
    http://java3d.netbeans.org/
    but that doesn't reallys show how to install java 3d or anything, it doesn't even have a download button for the module. I got that information here:
    http://java3d.j3d.org/faq/editors.html
    but i really just don't know how to install this thing. Can anyone help?

  • How to integrate JMS into WebLogic ?

    I want to use JMS for Messaging but I don't know how to integrate it into my WebLogic Server.
    Can anyone please tell me how I should integrate JMS into WebLogic?

    Java Message Service (JMS) is a standard API for accessing enterprise messaging systems.
    And WebLogic JMS is an enterprise-class messaging system that is tightly integrated into the WebLogic Server platform. It fully supports the JMS Specification.
    Please refer to the following links to get more information on this and how to configure the jms resources:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15051_01/wls/docs103/jms/fund.html
