How to kill back ground processes?

I had installed Amonitor app and it shows there are these 3 processes, poc-bbot, bash, cp running. It was never there. can anyone tell me how to kill it?

Hi, thanks.
Actually these 3 processes has never shows up. And yes, i was kill all the apps once i dont use them. my recently open bar is always empty.
The reason why i has concern is my bat life is shorter when these 3 processes are running. It used to has this, so i restore to factory mode. then after awhile, these came back.

  • Back ground processes, dialogue processes and Process chains

    Hai all,
               I am going through making process chains and I am struck with one thing:
    "How many background process chains and dialogue processes you have during run time"
    This is the problem. I understood everything else except this.The concept says that I have to know what is the capacity of the system, how many background and dialogue processes it could accomodate, how many are left and how many you can use for your process chain.How do we find out this? and could somebody please explain me or refer to documentation about the Back ground processes, dialogue processes and Process chains.
    Thanks.

    Hi Visu,
      You can see the number of dialog and background processes by using transaction SM51 and then double clicking on the server (we only have one but it may be different for each). Our BASIS folks take care of the number of processes as well. And, for us we have a schedule that changes the number at a certain time of day because you tend to need more dialog during the day but more batch at night.
      The transaction to look at and change the settings is RZ03. Then use the menu path Edit->Operation Modes you can select either Configuration or Timetable here. Both give information in different ways. I tend to double click around to see what it might tell me.
      I hope this helps a bit,
    Diane

  • Back Ground Process In OOABAP

    How can i process Back ground process on Object oriented
    Thanks Rayeez,

    Hi Rayeez,
    I had a requirement wherein I had to call ALV Grid display in background, here I used OO ABAP and just before creating the custom container I checked IF cl_gui_alv_grid=>offline( ) IS INITIAL.
    You can find similar methods for your OO Class and check if it is initial.

  • How to map back charge process

    Hello friends,
    I need help to map below scenario in SAP:
    We have third party business process, where vendor V1 is supplying material to customer. When customer receives material; V1 invoices us and we make payments to V1.At this point PO is closed for vendor V1.
    Now if customer faces any problem with material, then we call local vendor V2 to repair or service the material. What ever charges come from local vendor is suppose to reimburse by vendor V1.
    Now how can we link V2 vendor invoice amount to V1 invoice. What will be the document flow? How to map back charge process .
    Note:
    We have considered adding negative line items to the existing PO but understand this is not possible once payment has been issued and the PO is closed.
    We have considered creating a u201Creverse sales orderu201D but do not want to create a separate order or handle the vendor under a separate sold-to account (as a customer)
    We have considered a manual FI invoice but do not want to handle the vendor under a separate sold-to account (as a customer)
    Seeking valuable inputs from experts.
    Regards
    Ravi

    Hi Raghavendra
    Yes V2 exist in SAP, right now we create new purchase order to V2 for services for material at customer location, after his service we do payment to V2 and same amount is charged to V1.
    While charging V1 , we need to treat V1 as a customer( sold to party ) , which we donu2019t want , and direct clearing from FI is also not fusible as we again need to treat V1 as customer ( sold to party ) .
    Our requirement is to map using some credit memo or debit memo or any other documents.
    regards

  • Back ground processing of the LDAP

    Hi,
    We are on XI3.1, SP2.
    We are using LDAP authentication.
    We wants to know the  back ground processing when a using login to the deski using LDAP authentication.
    Any one please help on this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks & regards,
    Collin Powell.

    When logging with client tools the LDAP logon will be sent from the client, then the username will be authorized by the CMS which will in turn send a number of queries to the LDAP server to verify group membership. The variables include, graphtimeout (set or not) version/patch of BO (this behavior is different in 3.x vs XIR2 and even different in XIR2 SP2 vs SP4.
    If you are not using SSL then all the traffic can be packet scanned using a tool like Micr4osoft netmon or wireshark.

  • Error in BDC Back Ground Processing

    Dear All,
    I am facing problem on while executing BDC program. First i am executing in Foreground method there it displaying errors occured,
    means it showing full discription or error.
    But when i used Back ground processing its displayig the full error discription like "No posting object defined for 1230/ / / " here i need full error discription.
    please do the need full.
    Regrads,
    Srinivas.

    Hi
    In background processing you cannot see the error message, for that you have to write logic for capturing messages.
    Use 'Format_Message' function module so that you can get the complete message and then you can display that on the screen.
    Hope it helps...

  • Create back ground processes

    Hi all,
    I want to create back ground processes in BI to trigger my process chain variant.
    Please tell me the steps to create this.
    Please suggest the step by step doc.
    Regards,
    Macwan James.

    hi,
    When you try to schedule and activate a process chain , it will directly create a background job "BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER" which will start the process chain .
    So directly it will assign the process chain to background job.
    If you want to run PC once job finishes then -->, you will find an option while scheduling the process chain. Right click on Start variant and select "maintain variant" --> Select "Change Selections" --> Click on "After Event/After Job". Give the event name in the provided area in that screen. Now your process chain will execute after an event/job which runs in the background.
    Hope it helps
    Lavanya

  • What differences if we kill SMON or we kill  PMON Back ground processes ??

    Hello
    i am little bit confused.Please help me out...
    If we kill PMON---->Instance crashed---->Alert log content
    LGWR (ospid: 9764960): terminating the instance due to error 472
    Instance terminated by LGWR, pid = 9764960
    If we kill SMON---->Instance crashed---->Alert log content
    PMON (ospid: 13041666): terminating the instance due to error 474
    Instance terminated by PMON, pid = 13041666
    2010-12-27 07:31:04.187000 +01:00
    Then ,what is the difference in mechnism in killing either to SMON or PMON???

    Oh..wait...I just asked this question due to curiosity about what happen INTERNALLY when we kill any BG process(specially mandatory).
    For testing..I kill all the process in each attempt and found some similar and some different lines in alert log.
    Kill PMON:
    LGWR (ospid: 9764960): terminating the instance due to error 472
    Instance terminated by LGWR, pid = 9764960
    Kill CKPT:
    PMON (ospid: 6553606): terminating the instance due to error 469
    2010-12-27 12:08:51.650000 +01:00
    Instance terminated by PMON, pid = 6553606
    Kill SMON:
    PMON (ospid: 13041666): terminating the instance due to error 474
    Instance terminated by PMON, pid = 13041666
    Now,is any knowledge about these error nos(472/469/474) ???
    What happen internally when we kill PMON or SMON ??

  • What is back ground processing

    what is difference between background and fore ground processing of a report. what are the various methods to execute a report in back ground.  and when we need schedule a report in back ground how shall we handle selection screen parameters.
    thanx in advance.

    Hi,
    <u><i>Background Processing</i></u>
    There are two ways for you to handle,
    one manually setting up the job through SM36 which is better and convinient,
    secondly through program using FM's JOB_OPEN, SUBMIT, JOB_CLOSE.
      Find below steps in doing both:
    Procedure 1:
      1. Goto Trans -> SM36
      2. Define a job with the program and variant if any
      3. Click on start condition in application tool bar
      4. In the pop-up window, click on Date/Time
      5. Below you can see a check box "Periodic Job"
      6. Next click on Period Values
      7. Select "Other Period"
      8. Now give '15' for Minutes
      9. Save the job
    In SM37 u can check the status of the jobs that u have assigned to background...
    Here u mention the job name or the report name to check the status of the job...
    After mentioning the job name or program name u just execute it.. ( without any name also u can execute then it gives u all the jobs set by your user name..
    the status colud be released,active,finished etc..
    Procedure 2 via Program:
    Below is a sample code for the same. Note the ZTEMP2 is the program i am scheduling with 15mins frequency.
    DATA: P_JOBCNT LIKE TBTCJOB-JOBCOUNT,
          L_RELEASE(1) TYPE c.
       CALL FUNCTION 'JOB_OPEN'

    * MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    *         WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
       ENDIF.
       SUBMIT ZTEMP2 VIA JOB 'ZTEMP2' NUMBER P_JOBCNT
              TO SAP-SPOOL WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO
              WITH DESTINATION = 'HPMISPRT'
              WITH IMMEDIATELY = SPACE
              WITH KEEP_IN_SPOOL = 'X' AND RETURN.
       CALL FUNCTION 'JOB_CLOSE'

           PRDMINS                          = 15
        IMPORTING

        EXCEPTIONS

          JOBNAME_MISSING                   = 3
          JOB_CLOSE_FAILED                  = 4
          JOB_NOSTEPS                       = 5
          JOB_NOTEX                         = 6
          LOCK_FAILED                       = 7
          INVALID_TARGET                    = 8

  • How to kill an instance process in BPM studio 6.0

    Hi i'm Fabio.
    I'm working on BPM Studio 6.0 and i need to complete a task.
    I have an instance id process, and i need to create a new process in order to kill this istance id.
    I read how to create a PAPI client (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/papi/index.html?t=modules/papi/c_Writing_Your_First_Java_PAPI_Program.html) but it doesn't work for my purpose.
    First of all, i understood that i have to follow these step:
    * Import the required libraries.
    * Create a process service.
    * Create a process service session.
    * Perform operations with PAPI.
    * Close the process service.
    Now, i'm working on my xpdl file and i'm using the Standard Module "Fuego" and my plan is to create a process servcie, a process service session and then operate with PAPI.
    But using the PAPI module include in the BPM studio 6.0 i'm no able to load the library for the session import fuego.papi.ProcessServiceSession;
    so i'm worng something. Could you tell me how can menage this problem? Really do i need a session? Is possible to abort an istance process in BPM studio or i need to load my ear project in Enterprise environment and then kill my instance process? Thanks, regards Fabio.

    Thanks Dan, i read your suggestion but my boss was to implement a different solution:
    package hp.abort.process;
    import fuego.boot.*;
    import fuego.papi.CommunicationException;
    import fuego.papi.InstanceInfo;
    import fuego.papi.InstanceId;
    import fuego.papi.ProcessService;
    import fuego.papi.ProcessServiceSession;
    import fuego.papi.OperationException;
    import java.util.Properties;
    import javax.transaction.*;
    import java.lang.Exception;
    public class AbortProcess {

    configuration.setProperty(ProcessService.WORKING_FOLDER, "C:/tmp");
    try {
    ProcessService processService = ProcessService.create(configuration);
    /////////////////// Establish a session ///////////////////
    ProcessServiceSession session = processService.createSession("adminEarOMatic", "adminEarOMatic", "localhost");
    /////////////////// Operate with PAPI ///////////////////
    for (String processId : session.processesGetIds()) {
    System.out.println("\n Process: " + processId);
    for (InstanceInfo instance : session.processGetInstances(processId) ) {
    System.out.println(" -> " + instance.getId());
    System.out.println("ActivityName -> " + instance.getActivityName());
    System.out.println("ActivityId -> "+ instance.getActivityId());
    //Problema: nn vuole ActivityId ma Process Id
    session.activityAbort("/CreateEurekaSRService#Default-1.0/eomWait","/CreateEurekaSRService#Default-1.0/1/0@EarOMatic");
    /////////////////// Close the session ///////////////////
    session.close();
    /////////////////// Release API Resources ///////////////////
    processService.close();
    } catch (CommunicationException e) {

    e.printStackTrace();
    } catch (OperationException e) {

  • Help: how to kill a bpm process

    I create a bpm process with an infinite loop and my server crash everytime.
    How to kill this process.

    Hi Capro
    Log into NWA
    Navigate to manage processes
    NWA-> Operation management -> Processes and Tasks -> Manage Processes
    Select the nasty process instance and click on Actions> Cancel
    By doing so you will be canceling the process instance and this will help in saving your server from crashing
    If you are using 7.20 there are options to handle this too from BPM System Overview
    Regards,
    Harsha
