How to know side effects of implementing an SAP Note

Hi All,
Im new in implementing SAP Note.
Kindly suggest how to analyize whether implementing an SAP Note will cause some side effect.
How to do that ,I think just by looking at code can we assure that there will be no side effects.
Kindly suggest.

hello,
the easiest way is to implement note and check the functionality manually for example execute transaction and post document or you could open the correction object (ABAP code) and analyse the correction which ll be imported and how those changes will effect your systems work. if you implemented the note and you noticed that corrections destroyed your previous functionality then you could rollback the note in your development system.

- I've noticed that we don't have a problem on a portal running EP 6 SP2 P3 Hf4 , after installing the hotfix on the client side. - Security update 834707 includes a change to the way that Internet Explorer handles function pointers. This change in functionality occurs when an event handler points directly to a Document Object Model (DOM) function [...] Change in Internet Explorer function pointer behavior causes code to not be executed when an event handler is set to directly reference a DOM function after installing MS04-038 security updates.
BTW, Note 785308 has been updated with a workaround.

You must use the debugging interface, or get a code profiler. Do a search on all forums for profiler, you'll get tons of information.

What do you mean, "is it unlocked"? If your iPod has a screen lock set, it will be obvious from the iPod's screen. For issues with the iPod not appearing in iTunes, start which these troubleshooting steps:

Issue in implementing the sap note 1401975

I am trying to implement the sap note 1401975 in the 4.7 version( SAP_APPL 470, Patch level 26). to implement this note i have to create a Function Module with export parameter of TYPE SEPA_STR_DATA_MANDATE_DATA. the problem here is the structure SEPA_STR_DATA_MANDATE_DATA not available in my system and no instructions are given in the note to create this structure. i have also implemented the prerequisite notes 1305012, 1360908.

Reason and Prerequisites
As a prerequisite, you require Noter 1090321 for SEPA Direct Debit and the two SEPA credit transfer Notes 1305012 and 1360908. Check whether these notes have already been implemented (search in the ABAP Dictionary (transaction SE11) for the structures FPAYHX_MDT and FPM_SEPA and check in transaction SE37 whether the function DMEE_EXIT_SEPA_21 already exists) and implement them if necessary.
To be able to use the B2B (Business to Business) function, you also require enhancements in the SEPA third-party management (SAP Basis) that are delivered in a separate note.
Check this prerequisite notes 1090321, 1305012 and 1360908 and its corrections present in your system

I got the following error during implementation of SAP Note 41715.
"Error during RFC connection to SAPNet, cannot update SAP Note"
Why do we get this error? Any ideas.

Hi,
this SAP note is a very old SAP modification note.
I think, you have to do all work manually.
But have a look at the note: You have to install some other SAP notes before that!

How to minimise side effects of any note / Patch Application

How can one know that what effect a note / Patch is going to have and what all transaction codes it will hit..
For example i applied one note which seems to have activated a certain schema which was earlier commented out in the system. resulting in the printing of payslip with incorrect details.
How can one minimize any side effects of any note applied in the system...kindly suggest.

The reason i ask this question on this forum is the fact that in the past few instances i have faced certain issues due to application of notes related to form 24Q (these are the oly notes we have applied)
and the issues are coming in Payroll, in payslips and certain areas which i feel should remain unaffected by the note application...
However i appreciate all he answers and also would like to urge SAP to maybe release atleast the standard Testing that should be done after a particular Note application. i do not know if this is a reasonable demand but it is always better to have it right from the horses mouth...

In the attachments you found a table with Technical usages - add on.
When you select your technical usages then appear add-on that will be upgrade.

I am sending email from my application after registration. if the user register with an email which is not existing, i need to find out. but how to know whether the given email id is exists or not.
when i am trying to send email to not existing emails id, it is not throwing any exception also.
