Unfortunately Photoshop is not currently geared up towards 3D modeling, Photoshop is more for the use of 3D painting and texturing.
If you are looking for 3D modeling, I can suggest Cinema4D as a great application for 3D creation, Maxon offer a 45 day demo, and it is relatively cheap for the basic package.

I take photos of shoes in a light box with a white background. I want the resulting photos to have a dead white background except for a bit of shadow. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. I want to stay in Aperture and not have to move the images into Photoshop. How do I do this while still keeping the colours on the shoes true?

If the shoes are mainly mid-tone, you could just bump the contrast up a little.
You could also probably just adjust the tone curve a bit to force "almost white" to "white"

I have a JPEB, black words, hand lettered, on white.
When I place it into an InDesign doc, on a solid color, the white background, being opaque, covers the solid color.
How do I make that opaque white into a transparent background? Two manuals do not give me a clue.

No.. Photoshop transparency is automatically seen in Indesign for .psd files. All you need to make the background transparent in Photoshop.

PSE3, how to make white background for silouette

I have taken a few pics of my grandkids in silouette form. That is, profile shots taken against window with snowy background. I've done a conversion to B/W, but need to darken it further. My main question is, how do I put a selection on a pure white background? Barbara, I have your book, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. Do you have specific pages to look at? I know how to make a decent selection, but that's about it! Thanks.

2. Go to Edit>copy
3. Go to File>new>Blank file> Color Mode:RGB. Background contents:White. Size H&W for your paper stock.
4. Go to Edit>paste.
5. Position selection with move tool.

How to make BBSAK able to detect 9860 - White Screen

Hi Guys
Need serious help here. My 9860 (7.0) is showing 'white screen'. It happened since I tried to reload OS using BBSAK. Seems I choose wrong menu. As adviced by an expert, I have to wipe it again to see 507 error code. I tried to wipe it through BBSAK but Unfortunately BBSAK didn't detected the device anymore.
My question is: How to make BBSAK able to detect my device.
The situation are as follow:
1. BB Desktop Manager & Apploader detected my device (means USB driver are installed correctly & using OEM USB cables and good USB Port.). Trying to reload OS through these apps still stacked at the white screen (75%), same as through web uploader.
2. Already uninstall and reinstall BBSAK, Rrestore my laptop system, modify compatibility program of BBSAK, and tricks in windows task manager to avoid conflict between BBDM and BBSAK, still failed.
3. Clean Uninstall BBDM and BB Link and reinstall BBDM 7.0 Version only (BBDM 7.1 seems not reliable-for me).
4. Tried to wipe using JL_Cmder & Vnbbutils, both didn't execute wipe process.
5. Registry Cleaner using CCleaner.
Additional info: BBSAK detected my 9860 once when I was using BBDM 7.0 but since I upgraded to BBDM 7.1, it didn't detected anymore, so I had removed BBDM 7.1 and reinstall BBDM 7.0.
The result is: BBSAK still didn't detect my 9860.
Helps will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time & effort.

When I do that it only makes a short portion (the top video) color somehow it shortens the clip to 2 seconds, I tried to edit for the full 47 second clip (just a sample to play with) but it keeps going back to 2 seconds for the top video.
Any other ideas? I do have Final Cut Pro as well as Adobe After Effects as well, but I just figured iMovie would be easiest way to do this simple effect...

Insert your font with SE73.
Then set in sapscript with paragraph or character format so that yoyur charracter is printed with the font you wanted.

Haven't seen you attached file as it takes a long time for attachments to load on this forum. Try little camera icon instead.
EASIEST way to have B&W in areas is to add Hue and Saturation adjustment layer. Use sliders to make B&W. Next paint on layer MASK, with black, to restore color in areas you want to show color.

You can't; not natively, anyway, since the iPad is not a phone. If you want to make a call, you'll need to use some third-party Voice-Over-IP service such as Skype.
I'm not sure what you're asking when you ask about sending a message. If you mean a text message, you can either use iMessage, which can send messages to other users also running iMessage, or you can look in the iTunes Store for SMS apps, a few of which are available. They use separate services to actually send the message and so require an Internet connection, either WiFi or 3G.

In general, to reinstall Mac OS X, restart the Mac and hold the Command and R keys. From the Utilities drop down select Install Mac OS X and the system will download the installer. You w I'll then follow the instructions to install.
By the way, you posted in the iMac PPC forum, this belongs in Yosemite from what you show on your info line, I will ask for relocation.

My Photo Editing skills and experience are minimal and specially for the purpose of Photo-Texturing 3D Geo-Models (geo-located) for Google Earth.
I have been doing this for 3 years. However, I have yet to figure out how to edit photos so that White looks White.
Instead, they almost always look Bluish White.

Make a test image In Elements with only a white background. Verify that the background colour is the RGB values of 255,255,255.
If this looks Bluish white then you have a problem with your montior calibration, since 255,255,255 is as white as you can ever get.
You don't say how you calibrate your monitor, nor the colour space in which you are working. There is only one way to accurately calibrate and profile a monitor and that's with a hardware device like an Eye-One Display 2, or Spyder. This is not for printing accurately but for accurate on screen rendering.
Any other method is guess work.
Also keep in mind that to accurately rendere colours on screen needs a colour managed program. Elements is, but others you are using may not be. In which case the best colour space to use is sRGB. However, once you get your screen to look right there is no guarantee that others will see the same colour unless they also calibrate their screens.

You cannot find it in the glyphs of a regular font because it is not in the official Unicode set (a font may still contain it as a precomposed character, but that's very rare).
Using a font that has both an "m" and the spacing or nonspacing tilde accent (U+02DC or U+0303): type the 'm', type the '~', use manual kerning between the two to move the tilde on the center of the ''m', then use manual kerning after the tilde to make sure the next character follows properly.
Alternatively, create a custom font containing this character only inside InDesign
using my own IndyFont: Indiscripts :: IndyFont | Build OpenType Fonts from within InDesign!

The above code goes to a directory named Images and finds any images and rotates it by 2 degrees (i.e. 0.03490658503988659 radians) and writes them as hello. The rotate method gives the image correctly rotated but the problem is that the edges are black. I would like to make the edges white. The edges are defaulted as black I assume but is there a way I can change that to white?

Never mind. Solved it by negating the source image first.
