How to make copies of cds?

Hi,
How do I make copies of cds in tiger?
Do I need some 3rd party software?
Thanks.

Hi Baltwo,
AFAIK there is one possibility to burn bootable CDs in Tiger, shareware called:
Clone X2, try here http://www.tri-edre.com/english/cloner.html
There was also a freeware solution, BootCD but effectively I don't think it's compatible with Tiger yet, just keep checking because they will probably release an update.

  • How to make copies of delivered class/function module.

    Hello All,
    Can anybody tell me how/where should I go, to make copies of delivered class "CL_HRMSS_RECRUITING_WF" and the function module "HRWPC_EREC_CREATE_EREC_OBJECT".
    Also if I am renaming with Z<my-class-name>, and using the method "CREATENBOBJECT" in my renamed class, will there be a problem with naming conflicts as "CL_HRMSS_RECRUITING_WF" already has the same method "CREATENBOBJECT".
    Kind Regards
    Srinivas.

    hi Srinivas,
    Can you tell me how I should create a package:

    3->enter a name starting with Z or Y, press ENTER

    Thats it.. package is created...
    <b>
    now go to attributes of each objects,  which you had created as local, and change the package name from $TMP to the name of the package that you have created...you will be prompted for Transport request..create a request by clicking on the create button...save...</b>

  • HOW TO MAKE COPIES FROM A DVD, HOW TO MAKE COPIES FROM A DVD

    Hello, Can anyone help me, please? I need to make some copies from a DVD. What do I have to do?

    How to copy previously-burned DVD-R video discs
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2059
    To create an image file, launch Disk Utility and select File: New: Disk Image From Folder. In the window that appears, navigate to the desired folder and then click on Image. Give the image file a name, and click on Save when prompted. That’s it.

  • How to make copies of existing DVD's

    I have a iMac 21.5 with OS 10.6.8. Many people send me DVD's that have been created on their PC's. These files ARE NOT COPYRIGHT and are mainly old record files of events. Some are copies of home movies that have been created from VHS to 2 hour DVD's. I don't want to download to my harddrive, and then copy if possible.
    Some are still vintage photo files, again NOT COPYRIGHTED, but large size.
    I can read and see all, and now want to share the same with my comments added. HOW DO I MAKE A COPY OF THESE DVD'S directly to a new DVD so I can send on to other friends?
    Do I need to buy a DVD BURNER so I can copy the data to new DVD's and DVD-R's?
    Same question for large photo files that I have received in a memory stick format. Thank you.
    JIM GESSNER

    Are these videos copyrighted?
    Just kidding, no one here would ever assume otherwise.
    1. Insert the DVD/CD;
    2. Open Disk Utility, and select the DVD/CD from the left side list (select the DVD/CD icon on top);
    3. from the DU File menu select New | Disk Image from Disk 1;
    4. Choose to format the disk image as DVD/CD Master, name the disk image and click Save;
    5. When the .cdr file is finished select it with mouse and press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info and check the box to lock the file;
    6. Choose the .cdr file from the left side list, click Burn, and insert a new, blank DVD or CD.

  • How to make copies/duplicates of photos in LR4 - NOT Virtual Copies

    Can someone tell me if there is a SIMPLE way to make a copy or duplicate of a photo in LR4. In otherwords, you have a photo image in one folder and you want to make a copy and move it to another folder or subfolder and that copy is identical in EVERY aspect to the original photo and can be edited, manipulated, etc. without affecting the original. I can find nothing on this subject - all I keep getting is this VIRTUAL COPY which is NOT like the original and cannot be moved without the original (Master) going along with it. What's the problem? Every image program I know of can do this. BTW this in on a Mac Lion (10.8.4). Thank you, Brad

    Or same (or different) location, and do rename.
    I do this regularly, but only for testing purposes. Note: Some people don't want to use virtual copies, because they are handled as "2nd class citizens" by Lightroom (e.g. not saved in xmp, and must tag along with master base copy...).
    That said, I agree that care should be taken when having multiple (real) copies of same file, especially if they have the same filename (which I don't recommend, unless you really know what you are doing, and why...).

  • No longer able to make copies of CDs?

    I just attempted to pull cuts off a music CD in the CD drive, drag-and-dropping them into a folder on the desktop as I've always been able to do in the past with ease. All of a sudden this is impossible to accomplish. Checking info indicates I "can only read" the CD. As it has previously not been a problem, I'm not sure if that was always the permissions/sharing message.
    I'm not sure whether this is a new development with 10.5.6 or with the more recent iteration of iTunes, but something has decidedly changed for the worse.
    Anyone know if there's some way around this lovely SNAFU?

  • How to make copies of internal table with unknown structure?

    Dis is the detailed description of a problem i have and i
    tried all i can to solve it without satisfied results.
    I want to copy an internal table of a type defined in the
    ABAP program itself, not dictionary. I have a function
    that is supposed to accept the internal table as a
    parameter of type 'any table'. The function should create
    the new internal table using the field catalog of the
    passed 'any table' and then create a new internal table
    using "create_dynamic_table" and return the DATA pointer.
    If anyone knows how it is done pls help me out.
    I would like to get the field catalog of the following
    internal table automatically by using some sap function..
    TYPES:
    BEGIN OF MYTYPE,
      NAME TYPE SOMEZTABLE-NAME,
      AGE TYPE SOMEZTABLE-AGE,
    END OF MYTYPE.
    DATA:
    IT_TABLE TYPE TABLE OF MYTABLE INITIAL SIZE 0.
    DATA:
    COPY_OF_IT_TABLE TYPE REF TO DATA.
    SELECT NAME AGE INTO TABLE IT_TABLE FROM S0MEZTABLE.
    PERFORM CREATECOPY USING IT_TABLE CHANGING COPY_OF_IT_TABLE.
    FORM CREATECOPY
      USING
        IT_TABLE <b>TYPE ANY TABLE</b>
      CHANGING
        COPY_OF_IT_TABLE TYPE REF TO DATA.
    <i>[ Here i would like to create a copy the passed
    internal table and return a reference to it. I donot want
    to refer to the same table passed. I guess the use of
    function CREATE_DYNAMIC_TABLE in the CL_ALV_TABLE_CREATE
    clss is required. ]</i>
    ENDFORM.

    Ravi,
    If all you want to do is to copy this into another table, why can't do something like this.
    TYPES:
    BEGIN OF MYTYPE,
      NAME TYPE SOMEZTABLE-NAME,
      AGE TYPE SOMEZTABLE-AGE,
    END OF MYTYPE.
    DATA:
    IT_TABLE TYPE TABLE OF MYTABLE INITIAL SIZE 0.
    DATA: COPY_OF_IT_TABLE TYPE REF TO DATA.
    SELECT NAME AGE INTO TABLE IT_TABLE FROM S0MEZTABLE.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS : <FT_COPY_TABLE> TYPE ANY TABLE.
    Call Method CL_ALV_TABLE_CREATE->CREATE_DYNAMIC_TABLE
    Exporting
    IT_FIELDCATALOG = T_FIELDCAT
    Importing
    EP_TABLE = COPY_OF_IT_TABLE
    ASSIGN COPY_OF_IT_TABLE->* TO <FT_COPY_TABLE>
    However, this is provided you already have a field catalog. Now in this case we have not created a field catalog. So, for that
    data : BEGIN OF MYTABLE OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE
      NAME TYPE SOMEZTABLE-NAME,
      AGE TYPE SOMEZTABLE-AGE,
    END OF MYTABLE.
    Now, create the field catalog.
    CALL FUNCTION 'LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE'
    EXPORTING
      I_BUFFER_ACTIVE              =
      I_STRUCTURE_NAME             =
      I_CLIENT_NEVER_DISPLAY       = 'X'
      I_BYPASSING_BUFFER           =
        I_INTERNAL_TABNAME           = 'MYTABLE'
      CHANGING
        CT_FIELDCAT                  = T_FIELDCAT
    EXCEPTIONS
      INCONSISTENT_INTERFACE       = 1
      PROGRAM_ERROR                = 2
      OTHERS                       = 3
    IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
            WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
    This should create the field catalog.

    Ravi

    Dear Michael, good day!
    1. As per your instruction, I turned off iTM.
    Small discrepancy – where are two screens with iTM switch:
    -Settings > iTunes & App Store.
    -Settings > Music
    I switched OFF in both.
    NB: I turned device to English for convenience.
    2. My next step was Setting > General > Usage – tapped {Music};
    {All music} screen appeared; I swiped it and taped Delete.
    3. I performed “hard reset” …………………………………..
    4. Switched back On iTM
    5. Taped Music app on Home screen
    iTM has started –  (it took 18 minutes  to completed, 60 mbps Wi-Fi speed )
    Regret to inform… All the same:
    Erase and reset to factory default? Or I did smf wrong?

  • Dvd is done, how do I make copies?

    I created a movie in iMovie, shared it to iDvd, applied a Theme, and burned a dvd. Now I want to make multiple copies of the dvd. To do so thru iDvd would take a very long time, as the movie is 1 hour and 45 minutes. I have Popcorn, Handbrake, and MPEG Streamclip software, and am looking for suggestions on the best way to make copies of my dvd. I don't want to diminish the quality. If you have ideas, please be specific on what settings to use in the other programs. I used Handbrake to put the movie back onto my hard drive, but I created a .m4v file, which does not seem to have been the way to go. When I click on that, I do not get the opening menu, the movie just starts, and I don't think Popcorn recognized it.
    Thanks.
    Joey

    +To do so thru iDvd would take a very long time, as the movie is 1 hour and 45 minutes.+ Only the first burn takes a long time because the movie first must be encoded. Once the first burn is completed, the next ones take only a few minutes. For a movie of this size, each disk will probably burn in less than 15 minutes.
    I recommend that you create a disk image file from your iDVD project and use that for any future burns. You open your iDVD project and select 'File->Save as Disk Image' to create a disk image file. This process will take as long as the original burn because of the encoding time, but the end result will be a disk image file not a burned DVD disk. You can then use this file to burn DVDs of the project whenever you wish. It is a self-contained file, so you can safely delete the original iMovie and iDVD projects if you wish, once you know that the image file works ok.
    You burn further DVDs using Disk Utility or Toast. See these for help:
    Creating a disk image from your project-> http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/7.0/en/6733.html
    Burning a disk image->http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2087?viewlocale=en_US
    You could also make a disk image file from the DVD you already made, if you no longer have the iDVD project:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2059?viewlocale=en_US
    Then burn from the disk image as above.
    Disk image files are smaller than the original iMovie and iDVD files, and are good to save as backups for your projects.

  • How to make managed masters available in Finder & other apps

    Hi all,
    In discussing a Referenced vs Managed storage, one of the issues is not being able to see your Masters in the Finder, so other apps can access them.
    You can get at the Masters in your managed Library quite easily, although
    BEWARE...
    DO NOT MOVE OR DELETE THESE FILES...
    OR OPEN THEM WITHOUT MAKING A COPY TO ANOTHER LOCATION OUTSIDE THE APERTURE LIBRARY...
    or you will disrupt Aperture's management of these files
    JUST COPY WHAT YOU NEED OUT TO ANOTHER LOCATION before working on them.
    OK, WARNING OVER...
    This method will give you the ability to browse your masters stored in the Managed Aperture Library from the Finder. It will also give other apps access to the files, but DO NOT OPEN THESE FILES WITH ANOTHER APP FROM THAT LOCATION..;copy them out and then use them.
    This would be ideal if I could make the contents of the Alias read only without effecting the file permissions within the Library.
    Maybe I will write an app that does this...that way if you did open the files in another app it would make you save it somewhere else and prevent any problems.
    OK...here is how...
    1) Open the desired managed Aperture Library by right-clicking and selecting "Open Package Contents"
    2) Select the Folder called Masters inside the Aperture Library
    3) Right Click this Masters folder and select "Make Alias"
    4) Drag the new alias folder you just created called “Masters alias” out to a convenient spot, like the desktop.
    4) Go back and delete the Masters Alias folder that you made inside the managed Aperture Library. Empty Trash.
    From your new Masters alias folder on the desktop, you can now browse all your masters. I suggest setting it to icon view, so you can see all the images easily.
    OK...understand what you have now...this folder and its contents are NOT YOURS to play with, you gave them to Aperture to manage...it is OK to browse and look at the masters, and make copies of the masters to another location outside this folder hierarchy for another app to work on, but do not open, move, delete or in any way change the structure or contents of this folder...or Aperture will not be pleased with you, lol.
    The structure is simple to navigate, date & time, if you have an idea of when you shot the pictures you are in good shape. In icon view the pix come up quickly and you can QUICKLOOK using the spacebar, of course.
    Anyway, this method, while imperfect, gives you immediate Finder access to your managed masters for BROWSING and COPYING SOMEWHERE ELSE ONLY.
    Use at your own risk, and please don’t flame me if you screw up the library structure by deleting or changing anything within that folder.
    Sincerely,
    K. J. Doyle

    This would be a way to backup the images in a manner where you are not dependent on Apple products.
    No it wouldn't. You're using the Finder, aliases, a Mac and everything else.
    but want to backup to a portable drive with just the images.
    File -> Export your Masters will do exactly the same thing.

  • I made and burned a slideshow in iDVD and gave a copy to a friend with a Mac notebook.  Is there a way she can put it on her hard drive to make copies of it?  Does she need to have iDVD?

    I made and burned a slideshow in iDVD and gave a copy to a friend with a Mac notebook.  She would like to made copies of it.  Can she do it if she doesn't have iDVD?

    She can easily make copies of the DVD using Finder:
