As mentioned above by Bernd Alheit you will have to download the file on the local disc from the cloud & then upload it again, however you will have to rename the file as the architecture does not support two or more files with a similar name.

Now I want to create same set of styles but starting with 'b' for book. [E.g.: bNL,bUNL,...].
How to get duplicate 200 style names, but 'j' has to change 'b'.

I would strongly recommend to make organized styles, all depending on each other like a tree.
So let's say make a basic para style, then create a folder (group) for the first style, depending on the basic. Name the folder J or Journal and the styles List1, List2, etc.
When this group is complete, duplicate the folder (group) and rename it book. The styles have the same name, but are different in the group. This is easier to handle than to to rename each style.
I do a similiar thing. I create a complete style sytem with groups and subgroups based on an outside basic style, but in the group is another basic style, this has the language German, when this group is complete, I duplicate it, change the name and change the basic style in the group to English, so I have the very same style name with a different language. In this basic style I adjust also language dependend GREPs, tracking or spaces should be wider in English because it needs less space normally, etc.
It is easier to work with groups than with renaming the styles, and you get a very similiar result for using it.

I just need to know how to make a multi page document from scans! :(

I have 4 scanned, pre-cropped pages from a recent graduation ceremony ready to go. Acobat will let me scan them in but makes them 4 separate PDF documents. Once I go into any of those I can see no way to add pages or combine the 4 PDFs into one big four page PDF. I searched these forums... but all the questions I have found have been from more experienced users asking more advanced questions.

Well actually my adobe reader gave me the option File>Create Adobe PDF Using Acrobat.com but the website doesn't seem to allow for anything other than the most basic PDF construction/conversion unless you upgrade to Acrobat.com Premium. It will be cheaper in the long run for me to just buy the standalone version of Acrobat since I don't need the features like Shared Workspace, etc. But yeah, I follwed a link from reader and that's how I got this far.

How to make "Duplicate Row" button work with LOV

I am using JDeveloper version: Studio Edition Version 10.1.3.1.0.3984
JHeadstart version: 10.1.3.1 Release 10.1.3.1.26
We have a VO where there are 2 EOs - one is Updatable and one is Reference.
We are using Association for the Reference EO.
In the page we have a LOV and from the LOV we are redirecting some fields including some fields for the Reference EO (to show only).
Everything works fine.
But the problem is, - we checked the "Show Duplicate Row Button?" option in the Application Definition file.
when we click the "Duplicate Row" button then we get the error:
javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: oracle.jbo.ReadOnlyAttrException: JBO-27008: Attribute set for UserId in view object Userpermission_under_Personalinfo_View_for_Owner failed
the attribute UserId is from Reference EO in the VO.
Can anybody suggest how we can make the duplicate work in this case?
And one more thing - If we check the "Show Duplicate Row Button?" option in JHeadstart Application Definition file, it shows the "Duplicate Row" button in the table layout. Is there any way so that we can put the "Duplicate Row" button in the form layout or do we have to do it using a .vm file modification ?
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

How to make Service Callout to Document (XML) Based Web Service Proxy

Hi,
I am receiving a String which is basically XML via MQ.
I want to do a Web Service Callout using the String based XML to a Proxy Service that is a Document Based Web Service.
When I make the call using the String as the input parameter, I get many PipeLine Exception errors on the console and it does not reach the Web Service.
Based on my readings, I believe that I need to place an XMLObject variable in the Service Callout instead of a String.
How do I do this?
I've tried the fn-bea:inlinedXML function but that does't seem to work.

Hi Anuj, seems that the problem was an invalid character in the Mq Message when I tried to apply the inlinedXML method to it.
This is resolved now.
The solution:
1) Assign Mq $Body to variable
2) Use Java Callout to remove special characters fn:string(body)
3) convert Java Output String to XML using inlinedXML xquery function
4) Do a replace on the $body node contents using the XML variable
5) Call Web Service.
if you dont do the XML conversion, the web service throws a Pipeline Exception.

How to make duplicates of a DVD-R I made?

I have a new 24" iMac and am trying to make copies of a DVD I personally made. It's on a DVD-R disc and whenever I've tried making a burn file, or another file to copy it into from the DVD inserted in the machine it seems to be only copying an alias into the destination file. I would like to d/l this onto my hard drive so that I can burn copies as my customers order them - one of the primary reasons I upgraded from my older Mac.
When I look at the "permissions" it says I have read-only permission which simply isn't true. I understand the net-wide concern over duplicating copyrighted material but that's not the case here. I personally made this instructional DVD and had it burned by a buddy with a Windows machine, then have been making copies regularly in batches at his house. I bought the iMac so I would have a machine powerful enough to do it myself. Anyhow, when I make copies with his machine I simply pop the master in one drive and a blank DVD into another drive and hit copy and it makes me another one.
So. Clearly the problem here is that the iMac thinks I have only read-only permission. What to do?? For the record, I am the original creator of every scrap of this instructional video and I've sold nearly 50 of them already, so no funny business going on. If it matters, I also have a master in +R format but nobody's ever requested it.

Unfortunately, when I followed the link it states
that will only work if the disc was made with iDVD or
another program.
That simply means you can't use the listed method to copy a copy-protected DVD.
What the article has you do is use Apple's Disk Utility application to create a disk image as a 'master disc' that can be used with Disk Utility to make copies on a Mac. That's how it's done on a Mac.

In the windows file dialog we can type "\\host\n" and we can explore the remote file system if which has sharing items.
I try to use setCurrentDirectory(new File("\\\\host")), JFileChooser does't work. I must step by step explore the host in networkplaces.
Set the host's subdirectory such as "\\\\host\\f1"can work but how can i get a remote host's subdirectory?

Script can be executed/called only in/at the directory where it is. You can call script from path 'a' even if script's location is in the path 'b' , but you can't execute script with something like $@/dir1/dir2/myscript.sql if the script is realy in /dir1/myscript.sql .

There is no such thing.
There is path environment VARIABLE . You can view it's contnent by typing echo $path in linux/unix or by typing set path in windows.

How to remove duplicate apps and documents in finder?

When I do an Open With, I get numerous instances of every app. It is due to my use of a SuperDuper mounted drive. Spotlight indexes that drive.
Now I have tried two different ways for months to fix this:
1) Preferences -> Spotlight -> Privacy, Add drive.
2) Terminal ->
$ sudo mdutil -i off /Volumes/SuperDuper
In using either method, it always works immediately for a few days. Then the behavior consistently returns due to no explicit intervention on my part, and Spotlight starts reindexing the drive. Is there a real solution to this annoyance? I suppose I could stop using that drive completely, or stop using Spotlight.

It's LaunchServices. These are only cache files but can get corrupted. Launch /Utilities/Terminal and copy & paste this at the prompt to rebuild LaunchServices: (be sure to copy the entire line it's a scroll)

How to make a stationery out of .doc or .docx file?

I stumbled upon a website that has some nice stationery, in .doc format. and since there few free pre made stationery available for Mail.app, at least to my knowledge, because I think I almost downloaded every free stationery available out there that could be easily found via Google. I decided to download some of these .doc stationeries and try to put them in Mail.app, but first I had to convert them into .html format. so here is what I've already tried and did not work:
first I tried opening them in TextEdit, which supports .doc out of the box, only to find out that the pictures in the documents are gone to thin air. I tried saving it and then opening it with something else like Open Office, but the pictures were permanently gone.
then I tried opening the original documents directly in Open Office, you guessed right If you said they will look screwed, and they were, and tried to save them as html, they were screwed even more.
so I did a bit of research and found out that I could use Google Docs in order to convert the documents, I uploaded them into my Google docs and then tried to open them with it, but found it that Google docs can't handle the pictures (specially background pictures) either. as a result I did more searching to find a document converter and here is what I found:
I found a few online service to convert these documents:
http://www.freefileconvert.com/ was pretty good to convert the files into an .odt format. at first I thought yes I got the solution, now I can simply convert it to html using Open Office, but unfortunately, when I saved the document in html format and checked it in Safari to see how does it look, as If I would have done the same in MS Office with the original format, it looked pretty much screwed .
So I continued to look and I found a few other online services one of them asked me to pay a fee, I skipped to the other one which was http://docx-converter.com/. unfortunately the website wasn't functioning properly I think, at least for me (maybe someone out there has succeeded using it, I don't know.) and it didn't send me anything.
Finally I found http://www.zamzar.com/ that could convert .doc or .docx documents into html, or at least that is what it claims to do so, I tried it, and after I received the file via email, I found out it only contains a bmp image of the document's background. So much for the online conversion services!
But I decided I would give it a last shot using MS Office online, so I opened up my old Windows Live mail and went into my Skydrive, I uploaded the documents and tried saving it as html, but there were no save as html (after all an online copy of MS Office should have some limitations, otherwise few people will be willing to buy a Desktop version) but this didn't made me disappointed, since I already knew, that Neither Office Word can make a clear conversion, so I tried something different, while I was in Safari looking at the document in online MS office, I saved the page as Web Archives, then I opened the file with TextEdit, and after deleting useless links and pictures, I finally managed to get a clear document with everything that supposed to be in it. At this point I only need to know how to make use of this document to create a stationery with this raw file which is in Web Archive format. any ideas?

I'm a total idiot! How did I overlook http://www.zamzar.com/ functions? I think I might have mistakenly chosen convert to BMP instead of html. I tried it and the result was very good.
OK I finally found a good solution for this problem, so everyone out there that has the same problem, here is what I did:
1. OK if you have some .doc and .docx file formats and you want to convert them into something like .html or .odt, without having to reedit the code or getting a screwed document, use http://www.freefileconvert.com/ in order to convert them into .odt so they would look as they do in MS office just go to the website and upload your documents then choose .odt, then click convert, after a few moments you will get a link to download your .odt files. you can use and play around with your document in Open Office, I have tested it and it's really good.
2. Or if you want to convert them into .html with a clean code, and all the elements in it, simply go to http://www.zamzar.com/ and then ulpoad your documents, choose .html and enter your email address, you will have your .html files zipped and sent right in your inbox, then you could use Kompozer like me, or any other html editor, to make a template out of it. I tried it and the result was nice, now I have a bunch of nice html files that I can use to make templates and email stationery.

I actually just figured this out. For anyone else who would like to know, check out the propetizer sample code in the photoshop sdk. It makes a "filter" plug-in that just spits out all the properties of the document you could ever want to know about. The function I used to get the full path and filename of the current document is PIGetDocumentName(). I hope this helps someone eventually...
