How to make Finder NOT to show files from a specific folder in "All My Files"?

Hello!
Can someone please advice how to make finder NOT to show files from a specific folder in "All My Files"? See the attach - I recently installed Civilization 5 from Steam and now I have a lot of unneeded files (*.log and *.ini) shown in All My Files colder in Finder.
I don't want to see them. Any advise?

Using "All my Files" was very handy before all this rubbish popped up. =(

My program is currently reading a file from server using "open dataset" with file path like this (just example)
/usr/interface/abc/bcd/testfile.dat
Now I got a requirement to make it more consistent to read files, instead of reading that physical file name, I should read the files from a specific folder using logical path.
So I go to T code "FILE" and created a logical path called ZABC_FILE_PATH, unix compatible, with physical path is (for example),
/usr/interface/<sysid>/<client>/<filename>
My question is, can I still use open dataset statement to read this? if yes, how do I do that? If no, there should be alternative way, please let me know what you think. Thanks,

ONe thing is that typo double quote
The other thing is the importing part, I need the full file path.

Without knowing your version, I just picked 11.2, so you made need to look for that chapter in the documentation for your version to find applicable information.

I have an alias of one of my external hard drives in my trash. When I click on "show original" all my external H D 's and my Mac hard drive show up. How do I delete this icon from the trash without loosing all my files?

I have an alias of one of my external hard drives in my trash. When I tried to delete it, it showed that I was deleting 80,000 files and counting. I stopped the delete process and when I clicked on "show original" all my external H.D.'s and my Mac hard drive show up. How do I delete this alias from the trash without loosing all my files? When I tried to drag it back to the desk top, it just made a duplicate and remained in the trash. When I turned off the external H.D., the trash was then empty. Tried rebooting the computer and then turning the external hard drive back on and the alias shows up in the trash again. Much help appreciated.

In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.

For a lack of info about what Applications you are talking about we can only guess at what you want to do. In my experience, this is the kind of question that ends up being a mile long with 15 different examples because nobody knows exactly what you

I need to make the jscrollpane get data only when the scrollbar stops scrolling.
for instance if I hold the scrollbar's thumb and drag it to pass 1000 records, I want the view to wait until I release the thumb before taking any action( ex. adjust the view). in other words if the value of getValueIsAdjusting() of scrollbar is true, then the jscrollpsne should wait until it changes to false before doing anything. this is the same approach that Outlook takes when browsing through the list of emails in your mailbox.
I don't know how to solve this issue. any help regarding this issue would be appreciated.

Sorry to trouble you but this has never happened before so I need help.
I loaded 300 photos into LR 5.7
I deleted 200 of them.
But I asked LR not to remove them from the HD in case I might need them again in the future.
When I go into Finder, all the files are there showing 15M 18M whatever files size, but no preview. All the files show "dimension 0 X 0"
Preview won't open them saying "format not supported"
But I can open them in LR5 and CS6
I can even edit them, from LR5, including using plug ins.
I tried reboot. No good.
tiffs, jpegs all works find.
All RAW files are now not viewable in Preview / Finder, regardless of whether they are Nikon, Cannon, Panasonic, Leica
my system:
5KiMac 4GHz i7, 32 GB DDR3, AMD Radeon R9 3TB fusion drive and 4TB SATA Thunderbolt running under Yosemite 10.10.2

Do you have a new camera?
I note that my D750 raw images need update 6.01 in Yosemite OS. Check this site- OS X Yosemite: Supported digital camera RAW formats - Apple Support
If your camera is listed then maybe you have corruption of the Yosemite install.

I have a very similar problem in that purchases I make on the ATV are shuttled off to my computer even before I have a chance to watch them. Nothing remains on the AppleTV except (strangely) a show I bought from iTunes months before I ever got the ATV. In order to watch anything, I have to either leave my computer turned off between the time I order and watch it; or I have to have my computer on in order to stream the show back to the ATV. I like the idea of syncing with the computer as a backup solution, but the ATV should be designed to prefer to keep unwatched material on its hard drive until some threshold storage level has been reached, and then it should move off older shows to make room for newer ones.

Hey everyone.. iv been looking for help for a few weeks but cant seem to find the awnsers
I am trying to create a newspaper that consists of four pages. Each page i have created and are sitting in the library as sprites. Each page has buttons that need linking so that when pressed it loads the next page or page that i want. This is the part i am confused with =/ how do i make the buttons on each page load the next page (sprite) from the library??
Basically i want to no how to make a button load a sprite from the library when clicked. Does anyone no the script for this?

A question arises as to whether or not you are posting in the right forum. Sprites are AS3 objects.
If you want to add movieclips to the stage from the library using AS2, then you need to assign them each an Identifier via right clicking them in the library and selecting the Linkage option... from there you slect the option to Export for Actionscript and then assign the Identifier.
You then use the attachMovie() method to make use of that Identifier to dynamically load the library object.

You can't tell by the email address since you can pretty much put whatever you want in there (especially if the SMTP server is not filtering anything).
The header may be able to tell you something. There is a Received header value which looks like it has the routing information although I am not sure if this is a complete trace or just the last hop the message took.

Hi Barry,
What do you mean "it doesn't work"? What kind of errors are you seeing? Also, you only specified the file name (data.vi) when opening a VI reference. Try specifying the whole path to the VI. Also, you might want to make sure you are able to ping your other computer from the start (to see if this is a LabVIEW issue or a network issue).

Guidance Needed: How to make IIS on Windows 7 visible from outside my home LAN.
I am building a learning/demo ASP.NET website on this Win7 PC, using VS2008.
I would like to share the website with a client/friend, so I need my local IIS to be visible from outside the home LAN.
This PC is behind a Netgear WGR614 router, which has a static IP address assigned by my ISP.
I have set up port forwarding on the router; port 80 is HTTP.
I can see the website as http://localhost/ and also as http://192.168.0.2 from other PCs inside the LAN.
Ping works from outside, but not http. What am I missing?
