image box edge rounded

After adjusting options in Define Edge, don't forget to click "Decontaminate Colors" in the Output section of the Define Edge dialog.
I would also export to a New Document from the Output section.
Then you can open the file you want to drag your refined edge into.
With both docs open, go to: Image menu - Adjustments - Match Color.
You can select the image you want to match from the Source pulldown.
You will need to try all the different options, but you can make the image match much better colorwise before you drag your extracted image into your destination document.

How to make multi-box fields for name or address in a PDF form to be filled in?

I would like to know how to make fields for name and address in a PDF form.
I am now using Acrobat 8 Pro on Windows Vista. I have downloaded a form in the format of a PDF file. Basically it is just a file holding images of pages of the document, and there are no fields for me to type something on it using computer. This form will be used frequently by me, but I don't want to print it out and fill it in every time by hand. I want to fill it in in the computer and print copies of it when needed. The output will then be much more neat and tidy.
I have seen PDF forms with blanks for typing name and address, which means the form can be filled in on the computer before printing. They are special, as these blanks allow users to type name and address with every character occupying a box in the field, which consists of ten boxes or so. These are not ordinary textfields. I want to make similar inputting field as well.
Does anyone knows something about making these input fields with each character using 1 little box in the multi-box field? Any ideas are appreciated.

If you want to do on the fly image transparencies then you want to look in the java.awt.image package. There is are some pretty powerful image filters in here and after the initial learning curve, it isn't terribly complex to create your own image filters. For a school group project we created a logic puzzle game based on a shareware program alreay out there. The shareware program had a tileset format that we wanted to use in our application, but the transparencies weren't set up correctly. We ended up adding the transparencies on the fly. I wish I had the piece of code handy but I can remember enough to point you on the right path.
If you subclass java.awt.image.ImageFilter and override the two setPixels() methods, you can provide any manipulation you need to. Basically the image producer will pass in the pixels in one huge byte (or int) array top left to bottom right order. What we did, was get the color out of the first pixel and make that our transparency color. The byte method has two bits per color while the int method has 8 bits per pixel. The color is divided into r(ed), g(reen), b(lue), a(lpha) (I can't remember if alpha was first or last, a little expirimentation will tell you). The alpha is opaque at one extreme and fully transparent at the other extreme. Loop through the array and if the color is the same as your first pixel then set the alpha to 0 (or was it 15/255?).

CS6 Fluid Grids - how to make images resize when page is resized? [was: Hello]

Here's a nifty trick...
If the pic suits, use the wand to select the transparent background, then 'expand' the selection using 'select/modify/expand' by 1or 2 pixels, then 'feather' by same number and 'delete' that selected portion.
Now put it on that background...
That is the simplest version of the technique, you can tweak it but in principle, a soft edge will look 100% better, and you can even colour the fringe if you think about it.

This is a basic functionality.
You convert this item type into radio button.
It will satisfy your requirements.

How to make Image/size/resolution agree with metadata resolution?

After scanning the help file a bit and searching thru this forum a bit with `metadata resolution' as search criteria, I'm still pretty confused about how it is supposed to work.. I may have never actually found the right part of the help file.
Cutting to the chase: How can I make the resolution reported by the metadata tab for resolution agree with what is reported inside photoshop at Image/size resolution. I didn't see any way to set how res is reported in bridge.
I see many pictures reported in metadata as 72 ppi for resolution and reported in photoshop as 200 pixel/inch
They do BOTH mean pixels per inch right? If so, or really even if they don't how can I get the two reports to show the same resolution?
There are too many processes that depend on knowing res in advance of opening a file for that to be so far divergent.

The files are *.jpg. But I don't see where camera raw comes in. These are common jpg files. I'm opening them by double click in bridge.
Any way I did disable jpg and tiff in the Camera Raw preferences as you suggested. At Jpeg and tiff handling, both disabled. and restared bridge.
However, I see no improvment.
For example, a file reporting 72 ppi in bridge when opened in photoshop ... Images/size resolution reports 480 pixels/inch.
There is obviously some kind of miss handling that has been done to these files for them to have such a high resolution. I suspect they may have been handled at Walgreens or Walmart... or similar since I had something very similar happen to me once when I had a bunch of pictures developed at Walgreens and they cam back with resolutions like that, when I know the camera would have given them something way less.
But I don't see how any of that should be effecting Bridges inability to get the resolution right.

It appears that bridge is showing an unusually huge file size in inches, to account for the reported 72 ppi.

Tight Deadline: How to make image to follow mouse only side to side

I am on a tight deadline and looking for the AS3 code of how to do what this company does on their site:

Literally my project requires I recreate the what is shown with the hand holding the sharpie and moving only back and forth restricted to a centered rectangular area at the bottom of the screen. I know how to import the image that follows the mouse to the stage, and to make it a movieclip. Let's say I have named the instance "Image_mc". Does anyone have the actionscript for how to do this? Do you attach it to the object or to a keyframe on a separate actions layer? I appreciate any help! Thanks!

How to make images 100% page width?

I've been familiar with the 100% page width feature for a while and have used it quite a bit with no trouble until now. I'm trying make this banner image I have 100% page width (which doesn't appear to be an option), but when I do it still leaves some space on either side of the image when I preview it. The next thing I tried was to just use a bigger version of the image that way it spans wider than the browser, but the problem there is that it enables horizontal scrolling which I do not want at all.
This site has a lot of similar banner/rectangle images to what I'm creating so this is the effect I'm going for. Any suggestions would be great guys

set a text box or rectangle to 100% width and then fill the object with the image. set it to scale to fill.

How to make images look like live website for presentation?

I've created a website mockup in Photoshop and need to present them online to a client. I'm wondering if there's a simple app or technique of how I can "play" the images so they feel like they're scrolling up and down or page to page like a live website? No clicking necessary, but maybe a nice 60 second loop "movie" (?) of the images in the browswer so they get the feel of how things will flow from page to page. Any creative ideas or links of others that have done this? Cheers.

In the effects panel type "light" in the search box. This will bring up all the lighting effects in Pr. Adjusr/Lighting or Stylize/Strobe might work for you. There are a lot of adjustments you can key in until you find what suits your needs.
