How to make my appointments / events appear on the home or lock screen

After being spoiled with the Omnia and Droid I'm really missing this feature. appointments are the main reason I have a smart phone. But going into calendar to view upcoming events is counter productive. If you go into calendar then you didnt really need a reminder.
I want the option to glance at my home screen and see the next 24hrs of appts. This feature has saved me a number of times as your reminded of appointmets everytime you get a call, check the time etc. Theses gotta be a fix or an app out there.

It's currently not a feature of the iPhone, and third party apps from the AppStore are not able to effect the lockscreen. You can set an alarm for appointments but that is about it.

You make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store and get it serviced/replaced. You broke it. If you can't even force a reboot, there's nothing much more you can do.

How to make most recent messages appear at the top of the list?

I can not find a place in Mail preferences to make my messages in each mailbox ALWAYS appear with the most recent at the top of the list. They seem to revert to the reverse order, even though I laboriously change the order in each mailbox via clicking the top of the date column. I am using primarily .Mac addresses in IMAP format, and three computers. It seems that after I shut down, then restart the next day and my computers all sycn with .Mac, the order goes back to oldest first. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Everytime i have used webmail, the view is always retained with my previous settings. In fact the .Mac web mail help menu says the same thing (see below)
Therefore the last thing i would recommend is to simply reset safari (which will empty the cache), delete all your Mail plist files, and not turn .Mac sync on fully until all systems are sorting consistently on their own....

About Group Names:
I made a group of about 15 people. I named that group “BASEBALLERS." I have another group that I labeled ”BASKETBALLERS." When I want to send info that pertains to both, I type out each group name and they both appear in the “To:” field with those names I created.
However, when I receive copies of this email, the group names BASEBALLERS and BASKETBALLERS gets changed to boring old ”Undisclosed Recipients.“
Is it possible for everyone to receive my emails and see the two group names instead of ”Undisclosed recipients“?

How to make iCal Server events viewable on the web calendar?

Hi,
I can create, edit and view events on the web calendar.
I can create, edit and view my own events via iCal.
How can I set it up so we can see all the calendars from our group on the web calendar? It's empty now other than what's entered via the web calendar.
Is there really no integration between the two?

in the 4th comment down by protean. With a couple of additions I was able to post an event to the web group calendar and have an update on the web post back to the iCal calendar. My additions were needed to get the results as posted in the comment:
1) make sure Enable Calendaring is selected for all group members,
2) refresh iCal to ensure all group members are visible in the Personal Server Calendar Address Pane before adding the group calendar account,
3) add all members in step 3 of the procedure including yourself, however, if the owner of the group (e.g. diradmin) is not a member then don't add it,
4) prior to step 6 of the procedure you can verify the group is visible as in step 8 in the Personal Server Calendar delegation before deleting the group account; if not visible then you don't have to start from scratch, just work with the group account from step 1,
5) the group calendar shows up in the left column list of calendars under Delegates calendars.
So I got this to work.
Then I setup a location in Directory.app with Delegates as the group. It shows up in iCal under Delegates calendar with the error notice
'Error While Refreshing Access to account "location title" is not permitted.'
So there is no calendar available for the location in iCal. The personal iCal account shows the Delegation of location and the Show checkbox is selected. The group is allowed to select the location on the web calendar and in the server iCal calendar. But the location doesn't indicate conflicts in the availability pane. Can someone tell me what might be missing?

Yepp I know that, but can we make a service which behaves like facebook or twitter app.?
For e.g. When we click on share, it would show myapp in this share list. So I could share links with myapp.
I heard about "Custom URL Schemes" through which third-party apps can communicate, but how could I implement this for every link on ios browser?

Dear All,
We are using SAP CRM 5.0 standalone and we want to use CRM Billing.
All necessary configuration has been done to enable CRM Billing on sales orders.
Here is the list of what have been done:
1. Defined Billing unit and assigned to my sales organization.
2. Created billing document type for sales order (F2 as standard).
3. Defined billing item category (TAN as transaction-based billing after complete)
4. Defined billing item category determination (for trans. type TA, item category TAN, billing item category will be TAN)
With all the above configuration, when I created a sales order (TA), set the order status to 'completed' and save it, I checked the item status, it is 'completed for billing'. However, when I ran 'Process Billing Due List', nothing has been picked up.
I checked the order line item, and found that the 'Delivered Qty' field is 0. Could this be the reason? I set the item category TAN billing relevancy to be 'Transaction-based after completion', then it should not care about delivery, right?
Please provide your input. Thanks so much in advance!

How to make your folder list appear at the top when opening a finder window

Sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find it in the threads... About the only thing I miss from Windows, is the way file mgr displays list in folders, i.e. starting with folders, then listing the files.
Any way we can do this in Leopard?? The closest I get is by displaying content in list, then sort by type, but obviously my Adobe documents are listed before my folders... I'd really love to get my folders on top.

Sorting by kind with folders at the top can be done in Leopard with a little hacking:
OBLIGATORY WARNING:
If you're not comfortable with this, don't do it!
With that out of the way:
- navigate to: /System/Library/CoreServices/
- right-click Finder.app and select Show package contents...
- navigate to: Contents>Resources>English.lproj
- backup InfoPlist.strings
- open the original InfoPlist.strings in a text editor
- locate the line that says:
Code:
"Folder" = "Folder";
- add a space at the start of the second "Folder":
Code:
"Folder" = " Folder";
- save the file
- reboot or relaunch Finder
The space in front of "Folder" forces folders to the top of the list when sorting alphabetically by kind.

How to make all "allowed" clients visible at the log on/welcome screen at start of the computer

Assuming this is controlled by the Active Directory Server 2012 R2..
I allow 3 users to be able to log on to computer A.
I now start computer A. At the welcome / start screen I only see the person who was logged on latest.
However, it would be great to see which 3 users actually can log on to that computer, have their user pic and names
on the welcome / start screen instead of the "latest logged on" and then click on the person you are to log on.
How do I configure the Server 2012 R2, or Client computer, so they won't see last person logged on, but simply everyone
who actually is able to log on?

You are not going to be able to do this on a domain computer. You can disable the last logged on user prompt though. This would make the computer prompt for a username at all times. That group policy setting is called: Interactive logon: Do not display
last user name and is available under Computer Configuration\Policies\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options.

Press and hold the 'keyboard' key at the bottom right of the keyboard and after a second or so you should get a popup - slide your finger up to 'Dock' on that popup and remove your finger from the screen and the keyboard should move back to the bottom of the screen.
You can also turn off the ability to undock and split the keyboard into two halves via Settings > General > Keyboard > Split Keyboard 'off'

Is there a good "Sticky note app that ACTUALLY put a Sticky Note on my iPad ( over my existing wallpaper images) on either the Home or Lock screens like how the Stickies app works on a Mac?

I have an iPad 3.
I tried two, One was a worthless piece of junk I wasted $2.99 on and the other is pretty good ($1.99) except is does not do a function I would like to use as advertised ( which is to create a sticking note that works like an app by creating an icon sized version of the original created sticky note, then clicking on an app icon size version of the originally created sticky note that you can tap on like an app and a large sticky note is supposed to appear. This does NOT work with an iPad.
Does anyone use a Stickies app for IOS that works exactly like how the Stickies app works on a Mac?
What good is a Stickies note app on iOS when it cannot put actual virtual stickies notes over the main IOS screens and wallpapers and remain there until they are no longer needed?

It really cannot be done in iOS due to the sandboxed security model of the operating system. No app can modify the "desktop" like that - they can only display their own "virtual" desktop when actually actively in use. so any stickie note app is the same as any simple note app - it must be open and active to display content. It cannot modify any screen but it's own when active.

Hi James,
When i created BPEL and i selected "Subscribed event" and i had no chance to select async and sync. becasue in the dropdown list for BPEL creation, there are async, sync and subscribed event, etc. and i only could choose one.
Originally, i used mediator for subscribed events. In BPEL new version(1.1), it has subcribed events for BPEL. This is why i use BPEL instead of Mediator. After this switch i got record locking error because of its asynchronous processing. I'm thinking the mediator and BPEL should work same way for "Subscribed events".
if there is no setup that i can approach for BPEL and make it processing as "Single thread", i will switch back to use mediator.
