How to make safari window open up to my size pref

Sorry about the long subject title. Everytime I open safari on my Apple computers the safari window will open up in a different size or place. How can I set it to open to my own default like preference so that it covers the screen when I open safari.
Does that make sense?
Thanks!

Thanks alot for the quick response. However, my problem is that I do resize the window with the lower right drag every time I open safari. It doesn't seem to save the setting or something. If I stretch it out huge....next time I open, it will be tiny, (and hitting the green button doesn't fix it) or in a different possition.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!

  • How to make New Windows open where I want!

Every time I launch Safari, it opens the window on the left side of the screen. How to do get it to open on the right side? I'm sure there is a keystroke combination to reset the default position or AppleScript, but I can't find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem way back. I finally gave up and now use the following applescript. Change the pixel coordinates of the top left and bottom right of the window, that appear in parentheses, to fit size of your screen. Mine is set for my 2x" early Cinema display.
    javascript:self.moveTo(190,0);self.resizeTo(1150,995)
Make a bookmark put this script into the URL area of the bookmark (right side) and rename it to something like "my window size" and then put it in your bookmark bar folder. Then just click on it in the bookmark bar and window will move and resize to whatever you have entered in the parentheses.

  • How to make Safari stop opening up with the last viewed page?

If I quit safari with "google.com", and I open it up again, "google.com" shows up.
how do i change the settings so that every time I open up safari, the homepage shows, not the last viewed page?

Close the Safari window before you quit Safari.
Or hold the shift key down when you launch Safari.
    Best.

  • How to make Safari automatically open .ram sound clips?

When I click on, say a a sound clip to preview music, Safari just downloads the file but does not automatically play it, so I have to click on the file for it to be played by RealPlayer instead of this happening automatically after the download. The "open "safe" files after downloading" box is checked in preferences.
Using Safari 2.03 and RealPlayer 10.0.0 with Tiger

Safari probably has Open Safe Files disabled in preferences as a security caution. Open Safari's Preferences and click on the General icon. Check Open Safe Files if you want Safari to open files automatically. However, if you do this, make sure you have installed the most recent updates using Software Update because the last security update fixed a couple of exploits related to malicious files.

  • How to make download window open to front

When I download a file, how can I make the download window automatically come to the front?

THANK YOU! I don't know which idiot thought of removing the downloads window in favor of that ridiculous menu but I've been tearing my hair out trying to fix it. The old window has everything you need in one easy window while the menu requires multiple steps to check EACH download. I was ready to drop release 20 and go back to 19.

  • How to make safari re-open your tabs

When I quit Safari is there a way for it to remember my tabs and re-open them when I run it again?  I tried changing the 'close windows when quitting an application" box in General Preferences, but it didn't affect Safari.  I also saw something about putting it in full-screen mode and quitting from there, but who uses Safari in full-screen mode?
    Thanks
    Bob

Safari>History> reopen all windows for last session
Safari in full screen mode and quiting, will not open back to full screen mode like some.
I have Safari in full screen mode,  but it is not my main browser which is on the open desktop for screen real estate.

  • How to make Safari automatically open PDFs in Preview?

Well, the subject says it all:
I would like Safari to download PDFs when i click on them and then open them automatically in Preview.
I don't want any plugins nor any Acrobat.
    Does anyone have any idea?
(I have tried acrobat and the schubert-it plugin, neither of them has really satisfied me, so i have removed both of them.)
I have, of course, looked in this forum for any hints, but, although there seems to be a lot of posts about the "safari & PDF" topic, i didn't find anything solving my question.
Any suggestions or hints will be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Gabriel.

Not sure why you prefer to open the PDF outside of
    Safari?
    i think it's more convenient:
Acrobat is too slow; and when viewing PDFs inside Safari i don't have all the nice keyboard shortcuts for zooming, flipping pages, copying stuff from the PDF is not as smooth, etc. It's just the overall look-and-feel that's much nicer in Preview, IMHO.
Anyway, I guess you're saying Preview does not open
    after the PDF download.
    Yes, that's what i meant.
    Have you tried accessing the
info panel for one of the PDF files and changing the
"open with" selection to "Preview" - then, "change
    all"?
Now i am not quite sure what you mean.
In Finder, when i double-click a PDF it opens fine in Preview.
Also, in the info panel, Preview is set for the "open with" for all and any PDF.
    Best regards,
    Gabriel.

  • Does anyone know how to make Safari send e-mail? Mine won't and hasn't for some time.

I have been having trouble for some time sending e-mails by Safari - no problems with Mail - Does anyone know how to make Safari send e-mails?

When we first got our new iMac we were able to send e-mail through Safari - somewhere in the last 2-3 years it stopped and we got the failure to deliver message. We then sent e-mails through Mail - it works well and we have gotten used to doing this. However, every once in a while I retry send e-mails through Safari and we still get the  failure to deliver notice. This has also happened when we try to forward some e-mails we receive (not all; most get forwarded).

  • How To reset Safari window size back to original factory setting?

How To reset Safari window size back to original factory setting?
I resize my pages often but I don't want to always keep them at random sizes. I want to know the proper method to reset the webpage size back to it default size. Right now it's too wide, and I click the green plus button in the upper left corner and it goes down to a very small size, I click the green plus again and it returns to the Too Wide size. I just can't seem to get it to go back to the default size.
    Thanks for your help!

You could try this.   Set the safatri page to your convenience by dragging the bottom right hand corner of the page.   Quit safari, then immediately relaunch.   It should start up the same size as it was before you quit.  Then ...
Go to Safari > preferences and set the page as your home page.

  • How do you have 2 Safari windows open and show both pages simultaneously on the monitor

How do you keep open 2 Safari windows and show both pages on monitor?

While in Safari with your first window open go to the File menu and select New Window. That will open the second window on which you can navigate to your second web page. Resize both windows to fit on your display.
