How to make sub-categories in iTunes playlists

I have many playlists for separating certain types of music, like most people do. I was wondering if there is a way to place sub-categories in playlists already made. For example:
iTunes>Playlists>Recently Added>10 Most Recently Added>5 Most Recently Added.
I would like to be able to view/listen to the originated playlist; i.e. "Recently Added" which contains all the sub-playlists; i.e. "10 Most Recently Added" and "5 Most Recently Added" but also be able to access the sub-playlists within the original playlist and listen to solely the songs within the sub-category.
Basically, is there a way to put a playlist within a playlist without having to use and edit auto-updating smart playlists manually?

You can't make a playlist inside a playlist. You can nest playlists inside of folders and if you click on the folder it will show a summation of all the playlists contained in it.

You may have transferred all your songs, but your iPad is seeing the library as a different entity.

Can't figure out how to make "sub-tabs" / Too many "top-tabs" / Other ?

First of all, the website that I am webmaster for is: www.cindydennis.org .
I am having some problems:
1) There are TOO MANY tabs at the top. I can't figure out how to make sub-headings on one page...
For example, I'd like on the "About CDM" page, tabs that can be clicked on to go to other information tabs, but that don't end up appearing on the top (e.g.: having "Remarks" and "What We Believe" tabs go there, but not appear at the top).
Another example, if you look at the home screen, I'd like to have the link to the "Privacy Policy" and Terms of Service" pages on the bottom, but not have them appear as tabs in the top, too.
How do I do this, please? I've searched, and can't figure out/___sbsstatic___/migration-images/migration-img-not-avail.png
2) How do I add "Copyright 2011" automatically? I saw in the Rapidweaver trial version, it automatically adds it when you publish... is there a way to tell this program to do this? Or do I need to type that in on each page? (I don't want to purchase RW... I'm not ready for that yet.)

Cindee ~ One way to do the copyright notice is to use a Text Clipping — Select (highlight) the copyright text you want to use and drag it to the Desktop. If necessary, change the name of the Clipping icon so that it's more easily identifiable on the Desktop. Then, when you need it in iWeb, simply drag the Clipping icon from the Desktop to iWeb's main canvas.

How can I transfer my old iTunes (playlists and all) from the hard drive of my old dead computer to the iTunes of my new one?

So my old PC died before I managed to back up my iTunes library onto DVDs. I do however have the hard drive from the old PC with all the program files, files and folders on. I also have the iPhone 4, which has my top rated playlist on but that only holds about 20% of my entire music collection on.
Is it possible to somehow find all my old iTunes music, videos, playlists, podcasts etc and transfer it into the iTunes on the new PC without losing anything?

How to make a shortcut in iTunes 11.1.4?

Well I have been searching in the internet a lot of articles that has many shorcuts but no one could help me. Anyways what I want is to know if there is a shortcut to add a selected song to a playlist or if there is not how to make one?
Here's the situation:
When you click on the options there's a menu that apears like this, after that you'll see in the blue arrow that indicates ''new playlist from selection'' and at the right apears the shortcut key that you can use. BUT when you look the red arrow you see that there's no option on the keyboard .. That's what I want.. to know what's the keyboard shortcut.

Nevermind. I just had to change the import settings under preferences to AAC.

It sounds as though you should look at syncing to a playlist rather than your whole library. That way you can control what goes onto each iPod.

HOW TO MAKE ZIP FILES ON ITUNES?

Hello, I'm trying to upload a zip file from my computer online, but the problem here is I don't know how to make a zip file in the first place. I thought it was as simple as selecting the songs, right clicking, and clicking "compress" or something on my Itunes, But I don't have that option. Nor do i have the creat AAC or something like that. Can you please help me out here? On how to create a zip file in Itunes so i can export it and upload it online?

Zip files are made with Finder, not iTunes. Right click on the song file in Finder and select 'Compress filename'

How do I move all my itunes playlists from an old Dell desktop to a Dell laptop without losing anything?

My Dell desktop is on its last legs and I need to transfer all itunes playlists from it to my Dell laptop. Please help

Yes I copied the itunes folder. Before I copied it I opened up to see what was in it: album artwork, itunes, itunes media, previous itunes libraries, itunes library extras, itunes library genius, itunes library, itunes music library. After copying and pasting the itunes folder I checked my new laptop and the same files listed above copied over.
When I drill down the itunes folder to the music, it's on my new laptop. When I open itunes and click on playlists, I only have the music that I purchased from itunes. It does not include everything else I loaded into itunes and any other playlists I created.

iTunes does not store your library on their servers.
You are responsible for backing up your content.
However, You can redownload some iTunes purchases:

How to make sub folders in a share invisible to certain users?

Back in the 10.3 days simply setting the posix permissions so that certain users and groups had no access to a sub folder in a shared folder would make the folder invisible to those users and groups.
Flash forward to Snow Leopard, I'm trying to accomplish the same thing with ACLs, and I can't seem to do it, the folders are still visible with access denied badges. I read the ACL white paper that was on AFP548, and that suggested creating a deny full control ACE for groups that shouldn't have access, but that no longer seems to work the folders are still visible.
I've been fiddling with different ACL configurations, but I can't seem to get it to work.
I am running Mac OS X Server 10.6.4, and the clients are 10.6.4 as well.
Any help in figuring this out would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Apologies I do mean Others. What I normally do is set the POSIX Owner and Group to admin and Others to No Access. Both Permission models apply so you have to take that into account. Any created user is automatically made part of the built-in POSIX staff group (ID=20). That user is also part of Others. If you're trying to deny access for that user using ACLs only yet neglecting to change the POSIX Permission accordingly that user will still have access of some sort.
By setting the Others POSIX Permission to No Access at the Parent Folder level that user won't 'see' the Share. If you're trying to do this with a Nested Folder then that user will 'see' the folder but have no access. What they'll see is the red no entry sign folder icon.
Don't forget to propagate afterwards as well as removing or applying appropriate ACEs if your sharing structure involves nested folders. Server Admin's Interface (IMO) is actually OK with this although you could use the command line if you wish.
This is how it works for me and I rarely see any problems.
