How to make the text in a JSP editable?

I have created a telecalling application, in which I have generated the caller's script("good morning Mr.....this & that...blah blah blah) using a JSP! Some fields are picked up from the database & substituted in the script - personaliasation!
now my problem is that i want to make it editable! There is a moderator who revises the script frequently, so they want to edit it by themselves! And I am lost on how to go about this! Someone please help! :-)

what kind of editing u mean?

put this parts in other jsp's and unclude it
now when some one want to edit such this parts he can
upload this jsp's to the server and dynamiclly will

Download a piece of software called TinkerTool - that might just solve your problem. I have used it myself to change the system fonts on my iMac. It is software and not an app.

How to make the text in sub-division

Hi,
I am usign text module in my adobe forms.
Text in text module contains sub-divisions as a), b) and c). Each sub-division are in a separate line.
While in pdf, all the sub-division combines and comes a single paragraph.
What would be the problem for this issue? Any Idea?
May I know how to make the text in sub-division as in text module?

Hello, experiment with Object - Field tab. Do you have your text field with "allow multiple lines" checked? I guess so. And what about the field format? Plain text or Rich text? Please try:)) Regards, Otto

We have defined some Fixed Values for texts under IMG>SRM>SRM Server>Cross Application Basic Settings>Text Schema>Define Fixed Values for Texts, for a certain transaction type of RFx responses for a text schema.
Because of this, the bidder can choose one of these fixed values for texts. This is perfectly working fine.
Now the question is, we want to make the texts fields as mandatory. i.e. The bidder should not be able to submit the responses if certain texts are blank.
Is there be any BadI for this?

You can use BBP_DOC_CHECK_Badi for this field validation using a filter value RFx/Bid (I ont remember exact word).

Hi Shanthi,
If you want to make some rows editable and some as read-only, then the best thing to do is use an iterator. It is basically a class that implements interface IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR and allows you to change properties of each cell of your table. You can do the following:
1. Create an iterator class that implements this interface.
2. Code method RENDER_CELL_START( ) to set all elements of a given row as read-only or editable as required.
3. Leave other two methods empty but do activate them.
4. Declare a public reference in your view implementation class of same type as this iterator class.
5. Pass this iterator class to 'iterator' attribute of your <chtmlb:configTable> in view htm.
In the iterator class, you also need to access your table node to decide which rows to make editable and which row to make readonly. To do this, you can declare an attribute in this class of type CL_BSP_WD_CONTEXT_NODE_TV and instantiate it from the CONSTRUCTOR. And you can instantiate this iterator class from DO_VIEW_INIT_ON_ACTIVATION( ) of your view controller.

2) For the same text i need two languages.ie if the vendor is English then text need to be displayed in English .if the vendor is German then text need to be displayed in German.

For langauge translatios you have to use SE63 tcode.
You have to choose red color for u r u r character formats.
That changes you have to do in smart styles.
To do the changes in u r smart style go to form attributes.Double click on form attributes.
In style u will see u r smart style.
Double click on smart style.
There u can give u r desired character format.

How to make the text of the toolbar smaller?

I went to see some friends one weekend, an left my computer at home. No one touched the laptop in my absence, nor does anyone but myself use it.
The text in the firefox toolbar was the right size to me, as well as the sizes of the windows that popped up from them (i.e, the options window that appears when customizing privacy and security from clicking 'options' on the 'tools' dropdown bar.)
when I came back, the text of the toolbar and the windows that appear from them seemed larger than I wanted. (NOT the web page font, but the browsing toolbar font itself, such as the font for my bookmarks, the font for the tabs, etc.)
How do I adjust this to make it smaller? The size they are now takes up too much space, and is not needed.

If you can modify the field value, you can set it to "MLA 2006 : BANDEPPA ..." and then set the placeholder/textbox Markup Type to HTML.
If you always have a fixed number of characters that will be bold, you can have a placeholder with the expression for example:
=Left( Fields!MyValue.Value, 10 )
and make that placeholder bold. Then have another placeholder to display the rest of the text.
As a 3rd option, you can perhaps make a VB.net function in the report code, that takes the value and adds the html tags to it based on some logic, but you need to determine yourself how and where to place the tags.

i wanted to know if its possible on pages to make a table so the text will flow from one page to the next?
(for example, i write a content in the column on a specific raw, and if still have text when i reach the margins of the page, it automatically continues the text on the SAME raw on the next page)
i couldn't imagine i would ask this, since this seems to be a default on Word, but i hope i explained it right, but just in case, ill add a picture to illustrate (notice that in raw 10 there is still text, its just continues and disappears, without flowing to the next page. on the next page it is just a new raw 11, and i wonder if its possible to make the remainder of the text from raw 10 flow to the next page)

I have a page named, for example, "Manage Streets". This page has a sidebar which has three menu items (a list with three entries); "List of Streets", "Add Street", "Edit Street".
What I want is that when the user clicks "List of streets", and HTML DB navigates to that page, the text of the item/entry is shown in bold. And when the user navigates to another page, let's say "Add Street",this last entry should be shown in bold and the previous should be back to normal.
I presume I have to edit some HTML code or CSS, but I don't know how or where.

Allright, I found something that works just as fine.
Go to your application's shared components and choose list. Then select an entry from the chosen list. Under "current list entry", in the listbox "List Entry Current for Pages Type", choose "colon delimited page list".In the textbox beneath it, type the pagenumbers where the list entry is current. On those pages, the list entry text will be shown bold/highlighted.

does anyone know how I can make the contents of my cells in my JTable BOLD?
Also, when I display another table of fewer rows in the same frame (using BorderLayout.CENTER), the part of the previous JTable that were previously filled with rows still shows (i.e. the extra space from the old table with longer rows is then white and not gray,which is the background of the frame,). How can I make sure the table is redrawn/rebuilt from scratch. firetableDataChanged() doesn't remove the extra white space.
e.g I display a table to 5 rows in the frame. Then on some action, I create a new table and display it (3 rows) on top of the old one. Although the data changes as should, the outline of the extra space for the 2 extra rows from the previous one still shows, though without gridlines. How can I stop this?

How to make the text of the field to mixed case of the transaction COMMPR01

There is a text description field in the COMMPR01 for a product.
Now when i entered any text into the field, it is changed to UPPER CASE.But i want that when i enter any text , it will save the text as it is that means in both upper case and lower case.
Suppose i entered a text as Dummy Text, then when i save this product this text should display as Dummy Text.It should not display as DUMMY TEXT.
Please suggest me how to do this .

I just verified and the Description for Products (and possibly other objects too) are stored in table COMM_PRSHTEXT.
The relevant Data element is COMT_PRSHTEXTX which has the domain PRSHTEXT40.
If you look at this domain you have a parameter "lowercase" which is available as a flag option.
The explanation about this Flag is the following:
Lowercase letters allowed/not allowed
If this flag is set, upper case and lower case are distinguished when you enter values with screen masks.
Otherwise all the letters entered will be converted to upper case when you enter values with a screen mask.
This mechansim is in effect for all the fields referring to this domain.
Solution would be to verify if for this data-element the same Domain is used.
If yes, you can flag this option in the domain.
this should solve your problem.
