How to make the web part and web part zone smaller?

    On WS2012 running SharePoint 2013 Server when you edit a page
the web part zone is big and when you add the web part the web part
is big also.
    So the question is how to you make web parts and web part zone
smaller?

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to make the web part zone and web part smaller.
When you edit a page, you could change the height and width of the web part in Edit Web Part -> Appearance by typing in the Height and Width field. The size of the web part zone changes with the web part.

How I make the Web Browser Control to display a PDF in Windows 8

I have an application that run ok in previous version of windows, Where I can load a PDF file and the web browser control automatically use the Reader OCX of Adobe,, After Install windows 8 and download the reader for windows 8 still get and (X) where the document should be displayed. I use the following command in my program to force the windows 8 to use the same web browser (10) in my web browser control.
WebBrowser1.Navigate(DocumentName,"",Nothing,"User-Agent:Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 10.0; Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; Trident/6.0)")
But still get an (X). IF I use the URL that is in the property of the (X) and paste in my regular IE10, it open the PDF file.

Adobe Reader Touch is a Windows Store app and does not install a browser add-on/plug-in for "in-browser" PDF viewing.
You can either
Install Adobe Reader XI (desktop app) which installs browser plug-ins for Microsoft IE and Mozilla Firefox
Use Google Chrome, which has a built-in PDF viewer (enabled by default)

I want that activity ,task and document in CRM inbox(t-code:sbwp) can be display in UWL task iview, and can pop-up to deal with when be clicked .
The workflow type item in ERP can be display and open to deal with by default.
But I need to the same function of CRM inbox content.
I had done some configuration according to "Configuring the Business
Package for SAP CRM 5.0 SP01.pdf".
But it can't realized my requirement.

How to deploy the Oracle Forms and Reports 10g in Web?

Currently I am working in Oracle forms & Reports conversion project (6i to 10g).
As of now 6i forms working as a standalone application. After migrated it to 10g, I need to deploy the forms and reports in web.

for development, you need to install Oracle Developer
Suite 10g. This includes Forms and Reports.this topic interests me too, because I've downloaded Developer Suite and Database (both for 10g) from Oracle website, installed them, but I couldn't connect to a database.
What should be done for me to create a database link and be able to connect locally, in my personal Desktop computer? (Not to a server)
Once it was told me here that I should download 10g Database - I did it, and installed it, but it didn't work. Later, some of my job partners said I should install them in a sequence - that is, 1st the Developer, and 2nd the Database. But it has failed too. And I don't know how to configure a database connection.

Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
(formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
(after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

I'm afraid not.    It's not rocket science but you need to do some coding.
You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder. Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.
     <form action="path/form-to-email-script.php" >
The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
I'm assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code. Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names. It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.

How to Customize the Web item " Text Elements"in WAD

Hi All,
Can any one let me know how to customize the web item TEXT ELEMENTS. When we place the web item Text element in the web template, it displays the query details and the info provider details.
I question is I do not want to list all the list that is displayed in the text elements. I want to see only part of the list....can any one whether this is possible or not..if possible how...?

had your tried checking on the "Use IP instead of host
name" checkbox?
to edit your registered application info, go to
"Upload Mobile Component" tab and click on the Edit icon
on the left part of the record list which corresponds to
the application you had just uploaded.
your application is uploaded to the same host as your
web console application is running on. if you like to
point it to a different server where you have your
archive accessible, you have to change your mcd
deployment attributes on your middleware. try the ff:
1)run tcode: mi_mcd
2)click on Create Mobile Component
3)Enter Mobile Solution Name and Version
4)Click on Display MCD
5)Select Deployment Tab
6)Click on Edit
7)Change the values of WEBSERVER and WEBPATH location eg.
if your archive is located at
http://myotherserver:80/archive/myapplication.war
your entry will be:
WEBSERVER: http://myotherserver:80
WEBPATH: /archive/myapplication.war
where you myotherserver is the name of your http host
server and myapplication.war is the name of your archive.
the archive directory is just a virtual directory where
your application archive is.
you might need to change the port number depending on
your http server port.

How to separate the Webi executing duration

*The overall runtime can be split into 5 different parts (Database, OLAP, MDX, RFC and
WebIntelligence) .
*We have to gather the statistics in the SAP BW system. Use transaction SE16 (Data Browser)
and go to table RSDDSTAT_OLAP
*Enter User name and UTIME and calendar date object name (Bex query)
*Press the execute button and you will get the table with all the statistics in SAP BW. Now, you
have to separate the backend runtimes into database, OLAP and MDX runtime.
*Gathering the Database Runtime
Click on the header of the column “EVENTID” to mark the whole column. Set a filter by pressing
and select the between range from 9000 to 9011.
*Gathering the OLAP Runtime
Click on the header of the column “EVENTID” to mark the whole column. Set a filter by pressing
and select the between range from 2500 to 4999.
*Gathering MDX runtime
Click on the header of the column “EVENTID” to mark the whole column. Set a filter by pressing
and select the between range from 40000 to 40036.
*Gathering the Single Statistical Records STAD
To get the memory consumption, Remote Function Calls (RFC) and the details about all the BAPIs
called during report execution, we need to enter transaction STAD in SAP BW.
When starting STAD, set a filter on the connection user for the Universe and select the appropriate
start time and the length of the interval to be investigated (according to the total runtime of the report).
This will return a set of RFC calls to the backend. Normally, the major runtime influencing part can be
easily determined by the column “Response time (ms).
Subtract all this times from Webi report refresh time , we get time taken at BO end.

Steps to follow to create WAD in WEB Template in 3.5 or 7.0 u2026u2026..
Go to All programs and select your web application designer
Select the button to create a new page in WAD
Select the chart and place in the layout
Next goto Data provider Target and select your query
Give your report name in the given data provider screen
Select your query in History/find/Favourites/Infoareas button
Select your query in this screen and click OPEN
Now we can see the data provider is assigned to the chart.
To edit the chart you have to right click on the chart
After right click on it we will find another screen where we can edit all the settings
In this screen we can find NEXT click button to change our settings
In this screen we can state the tasks (Title, units, values, range)
In this screen we can change our background /validity/color
In this screen we can add values to the chart
In this screen we can add validity/positions/order/axis types to the chart
In this screen we can change the global settings/and overview of the chart.
This screen shows that we have customized the chart successfully
After successful creation of the chart we have to save the chart
Save your chart in your favorites by giving the description and technical name in the given block.
Now execute your WAD by selecting the execute button

How to embed the WEBI report as portlet

I am a fresh man of WEBI.
I want to know how to embed the WEBI report to a web page as the portlet (like weblogic portal).
I have used the OpenDocument URL to do it, but the report have a tool bar on the top, status bar on the bottom and a prompt area on left. So what i want to know is how to integrate the report itself on my portal (no tool bar, no status bar and no prompt area). Is there any way to control the display of these different area?

Normally there is not way to deactivate the statusbar and the toolbar. What you can do is to try to capture the HTML stream using javascript and filter out the toolbar components. This can be quite complicated though since the html structure of the report is quite complicated (multiple iFrame layers). And there is no garantee that this structure will remain inchanged in the next fix pack or service pack.
A rather simpe solution could be to "cover" the toolbar with an additional opaque frame.
