How to map CMP field to an Oracle XMLType?

How can we map a WLS700 EJB2.0 CMP field to an Oracle XMLType?
Is there some special configuration needed in the deployment descriptors?
Thanx,
Nico

Hi
System will prospose the existing object..just check if that the relavent and meaning ful object....if not create your own infoobject and map it...its not mandatory to use the proposed one..as its not the standard one..
Create a new object and include in the infosource and then map in transfer rule

    It looks you are new to PI,
    you have to develop scenario end to end, by creating source data type and target data type(if you have XSD's not required),then use Graphical mapping (message mapping) to map source and target structures.
    Search in sdn for one end to end scenario you will understand easily

  • How to map Idoc fields with external file

    Hi All,
    How to map Idoc fields with external file.
    I want to check the settings where Idoc fields are mapped with external file.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Govind.

    If you have configured a fileport where on trigger of IDOC you are creating the file, you can look at the message type documentation and get the offset values for each field in each segment

  • How to map customer field to standard field using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 ?

    Hi,
    i am trying to transfer a customer field from SRM to ECC60 through BAPI_PO_CREATE1;
    In SRM the EAN field does not exist; Thus we have created it.
    While transfering the PO to ECC, we try tu use BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI to map the SRM field to the EAN11 field in EKPO.
    However, we do not find the EAN11 field in the BAPIPOITEM structure.
    Steps already done :
    BBP_CUFMAP
    How do we map a customer field coming from an external system to an ECC standard field ?
    Kind regards,

  • File to IDOC ( need advise on how to map file fields )

    Hello friends,
    I spent quite some time reading all the helpful blogs and threads regarding File to Idoc scenario. However I had a very basic question ( maybe its trivial as I am just new to XI).
    In my scenario I have Bank Master data (in a CSV file) and it does not correspond exactly to Bank Master IDOC structure BANK_CREATE01.
    I understand that I will need to use File adapter to get this file into XI and then use an IDOC adapter to send it to R/3. (Pl correct me if I am wrong)
    Now when I use file adapter, how will I do the data mapping. I mean do I need to create a structure which corresponds to file fields and then XI will automatically load my file fields into this structure and then I can use this structure to map fields to IDOC.
    My only issue seems to be how will I see the FLAT FILE data in XML FORM in XI.
    To explain it further my CSV file looks like
    "GB,123456,11223344,GBP, London,.."
    where
    GB corresponds to country,
    123456 corresponds to Bank key,
    112233445566 corresponds to Bank account,
    GBP is currency and so on
    So should I create a data type maintaining same sequence of fields above without using any hierarchy like in the IDOC.
    If this is not possible then will I need to transform my input file exactly into IDOC structure and then use it.
    Hope I have manged to explain it.
    Appreciate your help on same.
    Thanks
    Shirin

    Hello Shrini,
    First of all The CSV file has to be changed in to an XML file , To achieve this File Content Conversion has to be done.Once this is done, please make the following changes in R/3 and PI to push Idoc in to PI.
    Configuration required at Xi side:
    Go to IDX1: configure the port.
    Go to IDX2: load the DOC metadata.
    Go to SM59: Create RFC destination which points to R3 system this is require in the case where your IDOC is sent to R 3 system,
    Configiration required at R3 side:
    Maintain Logical System for PI (SALE transaction):
    Maintain Partner Profile for XI system(WE20):
    Thanks,
    Kiran.

  • How to map different fields to same repeating/Same field in XSD

    Hi,
    I am using the Transform activity in a BPEL Process, my source is a Database table and the target is the and XSD file.
    Now the requirement is to map 3 different fields from source to a single field in the XSD.
    In the final xml file the tag name would be the same and will repeat 3 times but with different value for attribute and values with 3 diiferent columns/fields from database.
    How can achive this kind of mapping. Do i need to use some functions etc for that? please guide
    regards

    To answer "What does "<ns1:Code>" and "<ns1:Id>" indicate? are they fields in the DB table or XSD Schema?".
    The transformation is from Source(database) to target(an XML file).
    "<ns1:Code>" and "<ns1:Id>" are tags/fields in the outbound XML.
    <dbcolumn1>,<dbcolumn2> and <dbcolumn3> are database columns.
    I have removed the "ns1:" and also the Condition to make the code easy to read. Hope it helps. You could remove the condition and see how it goes when trying out in your project.

  • How to map two fields to one field

    Hi, All,
    I have three datastore objects (three data fields): Year, term, and period key. Their relationship is like this:
    If year = 2010, term = '010', period key will be "1010".  In selection screen, I want users to input year (2010) and term (010), but get the report with period key = '1010'. Does anybody can tell me how to do that?
    Thanks.
    Marea

    Hi,
    Here two options as our experts said  through customer exit
    By creating the project with ompnets EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001
    Then write code when first two varibleas are entered means ( user entry varibles year and term) then execute the third varible  period key
    for that a smaall code is required  u can write it .
    when the customer exit varibles executes it fetches data form bith user entry varibles and update last 2char from year and last 2 char from period that is concept u can ask ur abaper fro small help.
    If not
    if you are willing to do at tranformations level just add one more field as period key  and activate it ,in transformations level u can assign both year and term to period key and write a small routien as below
    result  = source_fields-year 2(4) + source_fields-term1(3).
      choice is urs as per ur flexibility u can aceive the above requirement.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Weird Problem with BLOB CMP field

    Hi,
    I am trying to deploy an EJB2.0 CMP Bean in Weblogic6.1 .The Bean has one of the CMP Field as a serializable object mapped to a BLOB Datatype in Oracle8i
    When i try to creae this Entity Bean
    I get "java.io.IOException: ORA-22920: row containing the LOB value is not locked" as a nested exception.
    When i increased the isolation level . I got "java.io.IOException: ORA-01002 fetch out of sequence" as the nested exception
    And one more horrible thing that is happening is the other arguments to the create method are getting updated in the DB except the Blob field(Supposed to rollback? when there is an EJB Exception ??)
    Any thoughts? Comments?
    Regards
    Sathya

    Hi,
    I seem to recall that there are multiple issues with BLOBS & WLS. I'll describe my setup, and you can see if your missing anything:
    - In weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml you need to set the column type as a Blob:
    <field-map>
    <cmp-field>binary</cmp-field>
    <dbms-column>binary</dbms-column>
    <dbms-column-type>OracleBlob</dbms-column-type>
    </field-map>
    - In weblogic-ejb-jar.xml you may need to set the isolation level of your set method:
    <transaction-isolation>
    <isolation-level>TRANSACTION_READ_COMMITTED_FOR_UPDATE</isolation-level>
    <method>
         <ejb-name>TerminalSoftwareKernelBDO</ejb-name>
         <method-name>setBinary</method-name>
    </method>
    </transaction-isolation>
    - The bean get/set methods should look like this:
    public abstract void setBinary(java.lang.Object binary);
    public abstract java.lang.Object getBinary();
    - In WLS 6.1 up to Service Pack 2 (I don't know about SP3 yet), BLOBs are incorrectly implemented. For some (odd) reason you can only put serialized objects into the DB... I think this means that if you have a BLOB put in by anything but WLS, WLS get very unhappy. So empty out your table with the blobs first.
    Hope that helps.
    Daniel.

    There is really no "best" setting here for the AirPort Express devices. If you need more wireless coverage in the area where an Express is located, then it makes sense to configure the Express to "extend" a wireless network.
    If you already have good coverage in an area where an Express is located, then the "join" configuration makes sense.
    I've yet to meet the first user who felt that he/she had too much wireless signal coverage in their home, but you never know.

  • A cmr-field and a cmp-field on the bean are using the same name. The names

    Hi:
    I am using weblogic 8.1 and MyEclipse 5.1.1. I am deploying my ear application through MyEclipse 5.1.1 as an ear file.
    When I ran the following EJB QL:
    SELECT OBJECT(p) FROM Product p.category = ?1
    I get the following error:
    n relation Category-Product, a cmr-field and a cmp-field on the bean are using the same name. The names of cmr and cmp fields must be unique.
    It is basically complaining that I have a field
    <cmr-field>
                             <cmr-field-name>category</cmr-field-name>
                        </cmr-field>
    in my ejb-jar.xml and also the same category in the
    <cmp-field><field-name>category</field-name></cmp-field>
    field. The problem is that if I changed the value of the cmr-field, I have to add a get and set in my productLocal.java and when you do that you have to do the same in the ejb-jar.xml.

  • How do i map one field to another in control file via SQL Loader

    Can someone please reply back to this question
    Hi,
    I have a flat file (student.dat delimiter %~| ) using control file (student.ctl) through sql loader. Here are the details.
    student.dat
    student_id, student_firstname, gender, student_lastName, student_newId
    101%~|abc%~|F %~|xyz%~|110%~|
    Corresponding table
    Student (
    Student_ID,
    Student_FN,
    Gender,
    Student_LN
    Question:
    How do i map student_newId field to student_id field in STUDENT DB table so that new id should be inserted in student_id column. How do i specify the mapping in control file. I dont want to create a new column in student table. Please let me know the best way to do this.
    Can someone please reply back to this question.
    My approach:
    In control file i will sepecify the below, Is this a best approach?. Do we have any othe way?
    STUDENT_ID *(:STUDENT_NEWID)*,
    STUDENT_FN,
    GENDER,
    STUDENT_LNAME,
    STUDENT_NEWID BOUNDFILLER
    Thanks

  • Is it possible to map the cmp fields of the entity bean with out dictionary

    Dear sirs,
    I have created the EJB project module and WEB Module. Now i have to map the CMP fields of the entity bean to the underlying table. Is it possible to map the cmp fields of the entity bean with out java dictionary? If yes how can we do that.
    I have got some error while mapping an EJB's CMP fields to the table through dictionary. I was actually intended to map 79 fields but it gives an error that more than 64 fields are not allowed while building the dictionary.
    1. Can you tell me what could be the possible reason?
    2. Is it possible to map the cmp fields of the entity bean with out java dictionary? If yes how can we do that.
    Kindly helo me,
    Sudheesh K S

    Hi,
    Sudheesh please check up if the below link helps,there are other ways of writing the persistent.xml for container managed entity bean.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/9b/f695f0c84acf46a4e0b31f69d8a9b7/frameset.htm, probably in the studio you cannot browse through tables not in  the java dictionary,but manually editing it may still solve the problem.
    Also here is another link that specifies the databases supported by J2EE Engine.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/66/a5283eeb47b40be10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    The below link shows how to specify the database vendor and datasource
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/e1/67fc3ee241ba28e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    Hope you are able to solve the problem.
    Do let us know if you come up with the solution.

  • How to add new CMP field to CMP bean

    I am back for your amusement. I have seen similar things to this in other postings, but I have not been able to find one that, when action is taken, solves my problem.
    I am using Sun Java Studio Enterprise 7 2004Q4
    Our database changed by adding one new field. I need to update the bean for that table. Since the bean was created from a schema, I thought I need to update the schema first. Having found no way to do that yet, I recreated the schema under a different name, deleted the old one and renamed the new one to the old name. Follow that? :|
    Ok. So now I have a new schema with the old name. I still have the old one in CVS so I can get it back (see I am learning someting).
    I then went to the bean and added a new CMP field. I updated all my code to use the new field accessors. Changed the create method to have one more field and use the accessor.
    Then in the module where the bean is being used I mapped the new field to the field in the database. The CMP is in a relationship with two other beans, but this field is not used (not yet anyway).
    I then compiled and depoyed. Everything went ok. "I am really getting the hang of this EJB stuff", I said to my self. Then I tried to run it.... I should have saved the comment for another time... :(
    I got this message and exception :
    "Validation error in class com.PersonCMPBean685435892_JDOState: com.sun.jdo.api.persistence.model.util.ModelValidationException: Warning: Cannot find the column person.p_umd_id for mapping the field pUmdId in the class com.PersonCMPBean685435892_JDOState.
    Verify that the schema file exists and that its contents are correct."
    com.sun.jdo.api.persistence.support.JDOUserException: The mapping for class com.PersonCMPBean685435892_JDOState is invalid. Compile the class in the IDE, correct any errors, and verify that all required files are packaged for execution.
    The schema exists. The field is in the new schema. Hmmm. I screwed up. Stamp it on my forehead with the others from working with EJB.... :)
    So what did I do wrong? How is this supposed to be done. Is there an easier way to update the schema?
    Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Ok. I found something that works, albeit I don't think it is the recommended way. But since I can't find a recommended way, I will settle for working. This was a suggestion from someone else who had this problem ( http://swforum.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?forumID=122&threadID=23428 ). But I have broken it down into steps and refined it a bit.
    1. Create a new schema under a different name.
    2. Go to the module that has a bean that is using the old schema.
    3. Find the reference for the bean under the module and look at the properties for the bean.
    4. In the properties in the Sun Java System As section there is a property called Mapped Schema. Change it to the new schema.
    5. deploy
    There's more...
    If you need to have the same name for the schema, like I did because I keep it in CVS, do this:
    6. Shutdown the IDE
    7. Go to the directory where the schema is and rename it to whatever you need (whatever you had originally).
    8. restart the IDE
    9. repeat steps 2-4
    10. restart the IDE again before you deploy!
    I know this is insane. But it is all I could figure out so far. If anybody has something else that is better, please, please, please let me know!
