How to Map user in EP 7

Hi
I am using EP 7. In user mapping for system access tab i got the IDES system which i have configured. My doubt is in Mapping Data option which User id and password do i need to mention .
Is it portal user id and password or
R3 user id and password
If it is portal user id and password where should i mention R3 user id and password
I am using user mapping type as UIDPW
Please help me....

Hope that is not problem with system but permission. Have a look at these threads.

We use the External sourcing scenario and we transfer requirements from ERP in SRM through XI (PurchaseRequestERPSourcingRequest_In)
We should transfer the user-defined fields, but we can not map it in SRM site.
We have enhanced enterprise service in XI, have realized BADI PUR_SE_PRERPSOURCINGRQCO_ASYN on ERP site.
I see the XML message with ours z-fields in tr. SXI_MONITOR (into SRM), but I can not find it in BBP_PDISC.
We try to use BADI BBP_SAPXML1_IN_BADI (there is no method for SC), and BADI /SAPSRM/BD_SOA_MAPPING (z-fields is empty)
Someone can tell how to map user-defined field for SC?

We have found solution our problem
We have enhanced standard service in a new enhancement name space and defined own enhancement elements in our namespaces. Then these enhancement elements refered to the SAP standard Enterprise Service.
But In our new interfaces were different XML namespaces
When we have correct an error we could use the next BADI
on ERP site: PUR_SE_PRERPSOURCINGRQCO_ASYN
on SRM site: /SAPSRM/BD_SOA_MAPPING

Cisco ISE - How to map User- Location - Restrict Access to other locations

Hi,
i've got a simple question and I hope someone here can help me out with this mess.
The problem is about WLAN 802.1x Auth with Cisco WLC and a ISE.
The design goal is the following:
There are several branch facilities. A user belongs to only ONE facility. This user should not access the WLAN in other facilities.
The technical design is this:
Local WLC and/or central vWLC. In the datacenter is one ISE which must handle the auth-requests. The identity source of the users, where I add and manage them, should be the ISE itself for the first time, later I want to AD and LDAP sources.
Here is the problem:
I don't understand how I can create a ruleset or something else where I can define that a user of facility A can only login over APs, WLCs,.....in facility A and NOT facility B. Or maybe my design is so bad that I have to start from scratch.
PLEASE HELP.

I don't know but may be this is the correct way to validate the user:
NAS-ID in AP-Groups (One AP-Group per facility) must match "12345" AND Identity-Group must match "12345".
Iam confused because there is no way to compare these values.
In this case to compare the value of "NAS-ID" and die users "IDENTITY-GROUP".
If they match against each other than "Permit-Access".

How to map text from Request Offering to custom textbox

Hi!
I have new custom Tab in Incident form with new textbox. I need this textbox fill with text added by user on Portal, but I can't figure out how to map user input to this text box. I can't see it in Request Offering form. Also when I create binding from this
form to extension of Incident Class, I can't change older Request Offering mapped to Incidents.
What can I do to make this work correctly?

User's answers from Request OFfering are stored in one field called UserInput. As result:
You can't bind control to specified answer
You can create your own control\converter to parse UserInout field (this is XML text)

How to deploy jar file for use within mapping user-defined fcn

Hi all,
I have a java class I'd like to called from a mapping user-defined function.
Here's what I've done (but hasn't worked)
1. Added 'package com.<mycompany>.xi.util.base64 to the source class file and compiled it.
2. Created a sda with a plain provider.xml file, i.e. no references were made to any other library files.
3. Deployed the sda to the xi 3.0 j2ee server successfully using SDM.
4. Under the Visual Admin tool, I see that the library was deployed successfully.
5. In the import text box in the user-defined function (design time), I enter com.<mycompany>.xi.util.base64.*.
A syntax check returns an error indicating the package could not be found.
Can anyone give me pointers as to how I can get this working?

No! That's not the right way!
What you have done is for accessing external JMS & JDBC drivers in their corresponding adapters. For the access inside a mapping user defined function, it's enough if you import the jar files.

Could you please help me in mapping the user to Responsible Person for Proj/ Capital Investment Prog.
Here is the scenario. I am trying to restrict the user to access only WBS under a cost center but not to have complete access to the Cost Center. I in my way to do, I found out that we can create a user name using OPS6 tcode and use the reference number of the user we created in CJ20N, so as only the person who was added in the Responsible Person for Proj/ Capital Investment Prog list will be able to access particular WBS.
Now my question is, How to map the user which I created using OPS6 tcode to user in user master record. I am not able to map the user, as its taking any random name to add in the list. Could some one please help me in mapping the user created in the list with the user master record.

Thanks for your time and finding SAP note for me. I got the problem fixed. The solution for the above problem is, When we create a responsible person for the project through OPS6 tcode, we have a column called "Offer User", next to the person responsible. We must add the user name next to it. And we can add only the user name which is present in the user master record.
It solved my problem, but when I pressed F1 for help in this column, there is nothing mentioned about its mapping or anything.

I would be able to put only 150 users in the single line of notepad. If it goes to next line it is not working.
I tried creating seperate notepad but in Import it says "exists"

How to determine that the Mapped User Id has the active r/3 account?

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to determine the whether the mapped user ID in portal has active or inactive user account in R/3.
For example:
We have implemented SSO between WAS & backed R/3. Now the user has the active poratl account but the R/3 account is inactive or locked due to some reason. Now in this situation when user logs in and hit the application then the screen display's the 500 internal server error which is not understood by the client. The requirement is to display the custom message instead of 500 internal server error inorder to direct the user that his account is inactive or locked in R/3.
I have to handle this within the WDinit method of the Componenet controller which will stop the processing if incase the above is true and display the appropiate Error Message.
Hope I am clear in statement above.

How to map expdp parallel process to its output file while running...
say i use expdp dumpfile=test_%U.dmp parallel=5 ..
Each parallele process writing to its related output file.. i want to know the mapping in run time...

I'm not sure if this information is reported in the status command but it's worth a shot. You can get to the status command 2 ways:
if you are running a datapump job from a terminal window, then while it is running, type ctl-c and you will get the datapump prompt. Either IMPORT> or EXPORT>
IMPORT> status
If you type status, it will tell you a bunch of information about the job and then each process. It may have dumpfile information in there.
If you run it interactively, then you need to attach to the job. To do this, you need to know the job name. If you don't know, you can look at sys.dba_datapump_jobs if prived, or sys.user_datapump_jobs if not prived. You will see a job name and a schema name. Once you have that, you can:
expdp user/password attach=schema.job_name
This will bring you to the EXPORT>/iMPORT> prompt. Type status there.
Like I said, I'm not sure if file name information is specified, but it might be. If it is not there, then I don't know of any other way to get it.

How to force user to use program?

I have designed a java app that starts as soon as you log on to a Windows NT client. The application asks the user for a project number. After the user types in a valid project number, the application hides. When the user logs off, or does a shutdown, the application writes info to a file about about how long this user used the PC, and for which project number he or she did that. When a user does not enter a project number and tries to close the application, the system will automatically shutdown. I can hide the windows taskbar by using a big size for the application frame.
My question is, how can I make sure that the user does not simply ignores the program by using the windows key, or ctrl-Esc to launch the windows start menu? Someone out there who has an idea? Thanks in advance!

How to map XML File input to VO (eventually to update table) upon fileupld

Reqirement: I am downloading an XML File (basically name-value pair) from user using OAMessageFileUploadBean. I need to take this file and update to an existing record in the table (cs_incidents_all). XML File schema is well-known in advance.
Approach: Don't know what is the best, but I'm thinking if there is an OAF way to map the XML File (Blobdomain) to VO and get the rowIMPL.getColumn1Value to fetch all the datavalues then loop thru all the columns (xml-tags) and finally call plsql APIs which will update/insert into table (cs_incidents_all)
Is this possible in OAF? If so please shed some light as to how to map XML File to VO.
If this is not possible then please let me know the other way. I have to do this inside the oaf.

How to map a custom enum list to a custom form property in an extended incident class

Hi,
I'm struggeling to understand how to map a custom enum list to a custom form property in an extended incident class.
Here's what i want to have happen:
I am going to publish a request offering on my SMPortal for allowing users to submit basic IT incidents. I want the form to include "Whom does this problem affect" (answers(This is the custom enum list): Me, Multiple Users, Whole department or Whole
company), "What is the problem about", "Description" and "Attachments".
Here's what i've done:
In the authoring tool i created a MP for the custom enum list and put only the list in it. I sealed the MP and imported it.
I created another unsealed MP called TST.Incident.Library for storing incident library customizations and extended the incident class to add an extension class i called ClassExtension_Affected scope with a custom property i called AffectedScope. Then i am trying
to set the datatype of this property to "list". In the "select a list" dialog i cannot chose my previously sealed MP with the custom enum list in it. Why?
- Do i need to scratch the sealed MP and put the custom enum list in the latter TST.Incident.Library MP instead?
- If so, can i do that and keep this MP unsealed, or will i get an error on import saying "Unsealed management packs should not contain type definitions"
- Should i create one sealed MP for both the custom enum list and the extension class + custom property?

Authoring Tool simply isn't informed about your list. Open the sealed management pack where you define the root of the list in the Authoring Tool and in the same time open TST.Incident.Library. You will have two opened MPs in the Authoring
Tool and be able to add a custom list for your custom field.

i am implementing JAAS by using my own custom LoginModule, which will access to my database and get user login and password and do verification myself.
and i know that i need to set the secruity roles, secruity constraint in web.xml, and i have set Login Configuration to Form-Based Authentication.

How to map the permits Scenarios

Good Morning to Every to Body.
I am confusing to map the permits scenario . In my client place they raise the Work permit request to the Safety Officer for getting the approval for doing their work.
Based on working condition safety officer checks the safety precautions , after verification he approved it and handover to the workperson. if safety officer not satisfied with safety precaustions he deny to give the approving for start the work. this is one scenario. and this work permit valid only for that approved day only. if its not complete that day , next day again workpermit was raised by work person or incharge of the work.
2. scenario : for any corrective action on running machine or predictive maintenance time , maintenance people gets the work approval from the Relevant department or Concerned persons. Ones relevant department head gives approved , then only maintenance people will start the work.
i am requesting you please guide me how to map in sap with out complexity. i am waiting for you people response.
please suggest me.

Hi,
There are 2 different type of permits.
1. Safety Permit
2. Work Permit
Safety permit will be approved by Safety officer. This is your first scenario. Work permit is approved by Maintenance officer, that is your second scenario.

As permits are approved in IW32, through above mentioned User Exit, you can develop some logic to restrict the authorisation between Safety officer in case of safety permits & Maintenance Manager in case of work permits.
