Word cannot store pictures - do you mean, how to use the photos in your iPhoto Library in Word documents?
Use the Media Browser in Word - when you select to insert a photo, you can open the Media Browser like this and browse your photo libraries - iPhoto, Aperture, ...
Sorry, my office applications have a german language interface, but the icons should be the same.

Do you have a SD slot? If not you get a USB to SD memory card adpater at the computer/office/online store and use that.
It appears as a drive on your machine and you can use Export from iPhoto or drag and drop methods too.
    Make sure you backup

Connect the iPad to your MBP and open iTunes.  In the photos section of your iPad in iTunes you can choose selected albums, Events or the entire iPhoto library to sync to your iPad.

  • Good morning, i would like to know how to take pictures from iphoto and put them in a folder on desktop

Good morning: would like to know how to take pictures from my iphoto and put them in a folder on my desktop

To take photos from iPhoto and put them onto a folder on Desktop, first create a folder on Desktop. Right-click on Desktop and create a new folder.
Then, open iPhoto, and you have two ways to export photos:
    1. Select the photos you want to copy to Desktop with Command key (or go to Edit menu > Select All, if you want to copy all photos), and then, drag them to the folder on Desktop.
    2. Select the photos you want to copy to Desktop with Command key, go to File menu > Export, and follow the steps.
You can choose the one you prefer

  • I cannot move pictures from iphoto to the desktop

    I have a MacBookPro.
I cannot take pictures from iphoto and then drag them somewhere else, whether its on the desktop, in a folder or on a usb key: they do not want to more out of iphoto.
I have tried to put my computer to sleep and wake it up: it doesnt work.
I have tried to 'export' the photographs: it doesnt work.
I cannot afford to loose any of these photographs therefore reseting my iphoto is not an option.
    help please!
    Thank You

You do not ever directly access the contents of the iPHoto library - use the media browser - in the lower left of the insert window under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto

  • How do I move pictures from iphoto library to my desktop so I can these use them to sell on ebay?

I recently moved pictures from my ipad to my iphoto library on my Macbook Pro computer. I want to now use these photos to sell on EBay. What are the steps I need to do to move these from one place to the other. This needs to be in laymans terms as my husband and I are new to this. Thanks for help.

Put the photos in an iPhoto album.  Use the File ➙ Export ➙ File export menu option and export them to a folder on the Desktop.  From there you can upload them to Ebay via your browser.

You can move them to a new location by:

Note that you should always have the the USB stick inserted when you open iPhoto

  • How to move pictures from Photoshop Elements 3 to 12

I recently got a new computer.  On the old one I had Photoshop Elements 3.0; on the new one I have PE 12.  Using Adobe's "Chat" line I asked this question and they told me it couldn't be done - I was SOL.  I can't believe there isn't some way to move these pictures to the new program.  Has anyone had any experience with this?  Is there some workaround available to allow me to move my pictures between these two versions?
I am very disappointed with the poor support from Adobe.

    Hatstead-
Thank you for your reply.  The link you provided was helpful but while it addresses catalog conversions, it doesn't specifically address moving pictures between two different computers.  I'm still in mystery as to exactly what I should copy from my old computer and where I should paste it in my new computer.  This is a complicated process and I'm afraid I'm going to start it, make a mistake and wind up in even more of a pickle.
And by the way, I'm still incredulous that Adobe is so unsupportive in this matter.  Their tech told me it was not possible to move my pictures from PSE3 to PSE12; which is apparently not true.  I think Adobe's customers deserve better treatment.

  • How to move pictures from one photo library to another

I really don't want all my daughter's iPhone selfies in our family Photo library, but I'd like to be able to move/copy some pictures from our family vacation from her library to mine.  Can I do that with the new Photos?  Is there a setting somewhere that will automatically import her iPhone pictures into her Photos library when her phone is plugged into our family Mac?

The app will import to the Library that's open, so make sure hers is open.
Currently there is no way rot move between libraries except by exporting from one and importing to the other.

  • How to Export pictures from iPhoto to external hard disk? Newbie here! Please help!

Need your help guys. Just bought a new Macbook Pro. Loved using the iPhoto but after managing a lot of my photos, realised that I cannot export an edited photo from iphoto to my external hard disk. I am not sure what iphoto version I am running right now but my Mac is brand new and comes with the pre installed softwares. Whenever I try to export an event, folder or even a picture, I will get this message   unable to create/Volumes/FreeAgentDrive/ after going thru the Export process in iphoto. Please help!!!

Your Mac can "read" data from an NTFS drive, but can't "write" files to it.
If you intend to use this drive only on Mac computers, then, use Disk Utility to erase it and format for Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
If you want to be able to write files to the external drive AND still use it with Microsoft Windows computers, then, format it as MS DOS. (Or, on a Microsoft Windows computer, format the drive as Fat32. However, if you use Windows XP, be aware that the largest size you can do this with is 32Gb. Vista and Windows 7 doesn't have this limit.)
Another option, do you have to use an external hard drive? What about a flash drive?

Do you have the desktop app for Dropbox?  It should show as a folder(s) on your computer - open it and create new folder (if you want) for your Verizon cloud stuff.  I'm not finding an easy way to "Select All" of my images - I can select a few at a time and download a zip file (in my browser, which downloads to the Downoads folder), which I can then move over to my Dropbox.
You could temporarily set your Dropbox folder as the downloads default ... and save a step.  But getting info off the cloud seems to be a tedious process.  I don't use it much, and prefer Google drive.

  • How to load pictures from iPhoto to a thumb drive in the order taken

Im trying to give a copy of pictuces I took on vacation with some friends and want to give them a copy. But every time I load them on a thumb drive they are in a different order when loaded back onto there computer? How do I fix this.

    Once the photos are out of iPhoto they will be viewed by the Finder sorted by alphanumerically  name or chronologically by date depending on how the view is setup for the Finder. So here's how to get what you want;
1 - assemble the photos in an album named for the vacation and sort manually.
2 - select the album and use the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option.
3 - Set Kind = Original (if you want the original unedited version) or Currnet (if you want the edited version).
4 - select File Name = Album name with number:
5 - this will give you the files named as Album-01.jpg, Album-02.jpg, etc which will be sorted in that order in the Finder.

would like to organise photo albums but am struggling to move from camera roll to existing album without using laptop

Choose Select at the upper right, select some photos, choose "Add To" at the upper left, and then select the album you wish to move the photos to.
Note that you can only move photos to albums that you created on the iPad. Also note that the photo will remain in the Camera Roll, only a pointer to the photo is moved to the album.
