How to notify admin/some user if in list/library workflow fails?

How to send notification to admin if workflow fails to start or some error occurs in workflow?
i tried creating workflow on workflow history list but it is not running automatically as items are created with system account.
Is there any other way to notify admin ?

if you are trying to notify admin when an entry added to workflow history list, you can create alerts for that list.

It is also dependent on your license type, as it is populated at logon - prior to any Z-coding option - which will cause a lockout if attempted an access that way.
I recently found a cool way to detect DB triggers and updates - very obscure...
However I also "move around" during support in projects and don't always want to kick myself out. I guess SAP can "work-it-out" from the various fields of the table to map the user behaviour.
Personally I dont believe that all of such information is appropriate for public domain, as all the SAP_ALLers out there combined with the types of authentication options are not always responsible with the information either.
Thankfully, SAP has added a "salt" to the password hashes now. They offer RZ11 login/password_downwards_compatibility as a workaround...

Mac Multiple Users - How to exclude for some users?

Hi,
I have BBDM installed on a Mac with multiple users. A couple of those are children so I have Parental controls turned on, and BBDM excluded from their available list. However, when they log in BBDM is trying to sync artwork or something and continues to request administrator passwords many many times. When I install the BBDM in the Destination Select segment it asks whether to install for all users, but there is no choice to exclude for some users.
Is there a way to do this?

When installing BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac you only have the option to install for yourself or all users. My apologies, you can not choose selected users to have access to this application.

How to notify the selected user of a role.

Hi,
Currently I have GP Role Approving Officer link to the EP Group : ApprovingOfficer and GP Role Applicant link to EP Group: Applicant. I have also tag a list of EP user to the EP Group accordingly.
Whenever the Applicant submit a request via Web Dynpro, the Applicant can select a list of person who of the ApprovingOfficer Group from a dropdown list in WD UI. Once the Applicant submits the request, there will be a task pending in the ApprovingOfficer GP Runtime.
I want only the task to be pending only for that selected person of the ApprovingOfficer instead of all the person which is the current case.
For example,
Role - ApprovingOfficer consisting user A, user B and user C
If I am from dept A, the WD UI will displayed user A and user C for selection. Whenever, I select user A, I would like the pending request entry to be reflected in user A GP Runtime only.
how to I do that? can advise?

                   This is possible. In GP design time, now I think you are assigning the EP Groups at the block level (for each action). That is the reason the request is send to all the users (approvers) in that group and they all will see it as pending task in their inbox.
                    You have to pick the users dynamically at runtime. For this you can follow these steps.
1. When the Initiator selects his approver from the dropdown list of webdynpro UI (It should be a portal ID), capture it from the current context element and expose it into GP Context as an attribute say DynApprover (in complete method.... before this you have to define an attribute DynApprover in getDescription also).
2. In GP Design time at the block level, instead of assigning the roles directly, make it dynamic -

      -- Select the Process and click on Roles Tab.
      -- Select the Administrator, Overseer, Owner roles manually and leve it as "Initiation Defined" as Role Type
      --Change the Approver's Role Type to "Runtime Defined" (Select this option from the drop down in RoleType column).
      -- Select the Approver's Block and click on Roles Tab.
      -- In the Processor of Approver's Action Choose the GP Attribute (that you have filled with dropdown value and exposed already) from the dropdown list of the "Filled from context Parameter" Column.

In CMSDK 9.0.3, is there any way to allow just a few users to login in FTP service and deny the rest? I know how to disable anonymous access, but I want that just two or three specific users access the repository through FTP protocol.

I just recently started playing around with Powershell and decide to try and create a simple script. Basically I'd like to be able to test up to 4 connection using Test-Connection and have it respond back with a message saying if the specific host is available or not.For example, if there are 4 devices at once I'd like it to read me back the specific host that did not respond.The code below is what I've developed if I chose to only test one host, however I get an error that says ComputerName is null or empty.I'd appreciate any help.

Can't Remove some users from proxy list

There are 3 users who keep being added to my proxy list, and when i go to remove the from from file -> proxy, i select their names and click remove. They are removed from the box and then i hit ok. But when i go back to my proxy list they are still there and the removing didn't work.
Please help.

How do you make some pictures in your iphoto library, eyes only protected

I want to make some of my pictures unviewable except by password or something so they are not accessible to the whole family, for example I bought my wife a present and took a picture of it to send to her dad and brother. She opened iphoto and you guessed it the picture was right there in the library for all to see, surprise ruined. There should be some way to hide some of the library pictures????

Gee, I don't know, but here's a thought: if you put them in the second library how about you trash them from the first one?

You don't. Again, you put it on an encrypted dmg or disk image. It's the disk that's encrypted, not the library.

How can i mangage 2 users (same computer) music library

How can i manage the music librarys of 2 users so that if i add one song on one user it will appear in the other library as well. At the momment both are set up so that the music libary is in the same place (c:/MUSIC) and both have manage my library and also have the copy a song to c:/MUSIC....

Quit iTunes.
Drag your entire iTunes folder from /Username/Music to a Shared directory
Log out.
Log in on the other user's account.
Click on the iTunes icon to start it, then immediately press an hold the Shift key.
iTunes will ask to Create new library or Choose existing library. Select Choose existing library.
Select the iTunes library file in the iTunes folder you moved to the Shared directory.
iTunes will open and all the music in your account will be there.
Now, go to iTunes prefs -> Advanced -> Importing.
Make sure Copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library is ticked.
Go to File -> Add Folder to library and select the iTunes music folder in /My Documents/My Music/iTunes. This will add all the music in that account.
When done, quit iTunes.
Go to /My Documents/My Music/ and drag the iTunes folder to the trash. Do NOT empty the trash yet.
Restart iTunes normally (don't hold Shift).
Everything should be there.
Quit iTunes and log out of the account.
Log into your account, start iTunes normally and all music should be there.
Quit iTunes and go back into the other account and make sure iTunes works okay. If it does, empty the trash.
An changes made by any user will be seen by all users.

How do I remove some songs (albums) from iTunes library and put them back later?

I have too many songs and albums for my iPhone to be convenient. I can remove an album, but might want to put it back on later. Should be easy but I am probably missing something. I found the music>itunes>iTunes Media> files that have all the albusms listed. But clicking on a deleted one does not offer anything to put it back. Must be missing something.

How to sync changes in user-created distributions lists when used by multiple Outlook users

Thanks for looking at my post. We are using Outlook exchange and Outlook 2010.
I have created a distribution list that is comprised of 20 members (students) with email addresses outside our organisation. I have sent this list to others in my workteam (Lecturers) and they have added the list to their own contacts group - we
share this list as we all email the same students for different reasons.
My issue arises when a student needs to be deleted from the distribution list and I am the first person to find out about it. Ideally, I would like to take the student off and have this distribution list automatically update for the other lecturers instead
of having to re-send the list to them after it has been edited. As it stands at the moment, each lecturer has to go into the distribution list I originally sent to them to delete the student.
There has to be an easier way to sync the changes that each lecturer makes to this list.
Any ideas?

You can place the group in a shared Contacts folder so everyone will see the same group.
Depending on your Exchange infrastructure and working habits, this could be a folder in your mailbox, a Public Folder, Shared Mailbox or even a SharePoint List.

It depends, what exactly you want to achieve ? Yea, there could be audit enabled or a trigger on those tables but as you said during a period of time. Cant really see how to enable/disable that thing on different times.
