Hi Yamini,
Opening a new window in new tab is not advisable since that can be overided by user's browser customization
so better hav a popup else navigate to different page else open a new window....

  • How to open a several links in separate tabs in Safari you drag to more tabs button"

    how can I open a several links in separate tabs in Firefox, In Safari you drag all the links to the "+" button and they all open in separate tabs.
    This is different then the plug-in "Multilink and snaplink" since the links I need to open are not selectable they are just written on a document.
    For instance, it would look like this:
    http://www.hi1.com
    http://www.hi2.com
    http://www.hi3.com
    etc.....
    Thanks!!!

    Hello CommeLeMois,
    You should be able to open links in new tabs by holding the Command key (⌘) and clicking on the link. Check in Safari Preferences and looked and the Tab section to see if you have the right behavior enabled.

  • How to open a bookmark folder in new tabs without removing previously opened tabs ?

    I love Safari, I think it's the smoothest experience on a Mac. However, not being able to open multiple tabs at once without overwriting my previous ones is a deal breaker. I know you can click the back button to restore previous tabs but then the new ones are gone.
    Is there a way to open a bunch of new tabs at once and keep the ones I already have open ?

  • ADF EBS Integration - How to open the ADF page in new tab or window

    Hi,
        We are building ADF custom applications and want to integrate them with EBS R12 (12.1.3) through Responsibilities and Menus.
    We have achieved session sharing and launching the Custom ADF app from EBS menu. The problem is, the Custom ADF page opens in the same page.
    Is there anyway to open the ADF application in new tab or window while launching from EBS Menu ?
    Highly appreciate your help on this.

  • How to open the url link in new window or new tab in Sharepoint

    Hello,
        Am having one custom list and one column name  contains type (Hyperlink & picture).I want to open this in a new tab on click I tried but i didn't get any solution even I follow this link also.
    https://wb2-web.sharepoint.com/blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=9
    and I didn't get this line of code:     <a
    onfocus="OnLink(this)" href="{$url}" >
    Any Help

    You can do it one of two ways:
    1. Insert some CSS that will change the target to "_new".
    2. Change the field that the user enters information in to a single line of text, then create a calculated column that is:
    =CONCATENATE("<a href=",[URL Field]." target=new>Click here</a>")
    Format that as a number.

  • How to open text URL in the new tab

    Hi guys,
    We know that when we click on a hyperlink it will directly open the linked web site, e.g.
    www.bing.com
    But sometimes we may find some URL in plain text that we couldn't click on it, e.g. www.bing.com
    I'll have to select the URL and copy&paste it to a new tab to open it, this is time wasting.
    The time IE 9 came out, I found a wonderful add-on, Open URL in New Tab (with Preview)
    This will do the trick to open the text URL in the new tab by right click on it.
    http://www.iegallery.com/us/addons/detail.aspx?id=3614
    But I don't like two things of it.
    1st, it will try to preview the web site when I using it which is undesired.
    2nd, it will open the link through another site and then jump back to the link I need to open. But I'd like to open the link directly. Which will open the link more quickly also save my time.
    Questions:
    Is there any other way to open the plain text URL directly? I mean without copy and past it to another page.
    It would be great if I can open the URL by dragging it like the other...

    In these forums?  If you are using the NNTP Bridge you could view your message in your News reader's Plain text mode and then see that your two examples worked equivalently.   <eg>
    Otherwise, in general, I agree there are some pretty obvious "accelerators" which could have been provided.
    I suspect much of the problem will be due to "security".   E.g. Windows used to have a functionality called text scraps, where you could select some text and drag and drop it just about anywhere to create a scrap file.   That's
    not working for me any more either.   If it were we could at least drag it to the Address bar and press Enter...

    Url="/faces/Home.jspx";
    ectx.redirect(Url);
    For now it is redirecting in the same window and so wen i press the back button in the browser the session gets invalidated ,
    so i want to open it in a new tab.

    Hi,
    You can try using "goLiink" and then use the property targetFrame set to "_blank"; below are some for ur references:
    targetFrame
    _blank: The link opens the document in a new window.
    _parent: The link opens the document in the window of the parent. For example, if the link appeared in a dialog window, the resulting page would render in the parent window.
    _self: The link opens the document in the same page or region.
    _top: The link opens the document in a full window, replacing the entire page.
    Thanks,

  • FF 13: Why can't I open an existing link in new tab anymore?

    This is such a simple but helpful feature. I only use it 150 times a day. I don't need some sort of Pinterest feature so I've disabed that.
    I have zero need to click on the + button in the tabs bar to get a blank page.
    I've tried a lot of configurations and add ons and disabling add ons and it just doesn't work anymore. I can't find anything in Google to help me fix this other than allow me to set the new tab to a static page, which also doesn't help me at all.
    I want to select a tab, then click on the plus icon in the tab bar and create a duplicate tab of that page.
    Do I really have to go back to Firefox 12?

    Wow. That absolutely did not work. I either have to switch to Safari or go back to FF12 which I should not have to do. This sucks.

  • How to open a website link in new window

    I have created a flash website which contains a link to an outside website. When I click on the link, it takes me to that outside website in the same browser window. To go back to my website, I have to use the back arrow. I want to change the link to the outside website so that the link opens in a new window. Therefore, if somebody goes to the link, when they finish they can close the new link's window and the original window with my website will still remain, without losing both upon closing.
    What do I need to adjust in order to do this?

    var url:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://www.adobe.com"); navigateToURL(url, "_blank");
    getURL/navigateToURLThis method uses the getURL (ActionScript 2.0) or navigateToURL (ActionScript 3.0) command to create a new browser window by targeting a new, blank window. This method is simple, works on all browsers, and requires no JavaScript. This method, however, it does not provide control over window location, size, scrollbars, or toolbars.    I guess something like this you needed?

  • Firefox won't open files (not links) in new tabs

    Hello I'm having an issue with Firefox on my Mac Mini. I want to view html files I've edited in multiple tabs in ONE window. My problem is that whenever I double-click an html file it always opens them in a new window even when I have an existing window open. I have tried changing settings in the about:config in firefox to no avail. Is there some kind of setting I need to change in Leopard to fix this? I'm new to the Mac and have been using Windows for a long time. I recently got this Mac Mini and love it, but I can't figure out this one problem. I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.3 with Firefox 3 RC2. Here's the thing, I'm also running FF3RC2 on WinXP SP2 on my other machine and it does not have this problem at all. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.

    Can you download and launch Word files normally from other sites, such as: [http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/d/5/bd515214-0728-4a54-9625-ab3f198cf448/internetexplorer8.doc]
    If so, it could be an issue on the mail provider's server. If the mail server is sending a generic content type ("application/octet-stream"), then Firefox won't actually associate that with any particular application (I suspect because it also is used for executable files).
    Sometimes the Open/Save/Cancel dialog will show you the "content type" indicated by the server. Is that information available?
    Is this a mail provider that would accept some constructive input on this issue?

  • How to open external links in new tabs?

    I own a personal web site. A question is
    How to open external site in the new tab? For example: the THIS LINK will open new window. How to open new tab in Safari for this case?
    Thanks for answer.

    Morning Igor and welcome to the forum.
    I assume that you are talking about enabling the tabs in the preferences of safari:
    Preferences, tabs, open new windows in tabs (I believe this is how it is written.. not in front of my mac).
    Hope this helps...

  • When I right click on a link "Open link in new tab" since a few days, it "jumps over" the tab to the right and opens in the tab next to that. How can I change this back to opening in the tab next to the page from which I opened as it used to be?

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
    * [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • How to ALWAYS open links in new tabs on IE10, desktop version? Settings Internet Options Tabs seems incomplete......

    Hello, I know variations of this question have been asked already, but I'm not finding answers that seem to actually work.
    For example, if I click on a link in my Favorites Bar or in my Favorites, they open in the already open tab, not in a new tab.
    This is not the case for Firefox; in FF they always open in a new tab. In previous versions of IE there were plugins that enabled this feature, but in IE10, Desktop version, all we seem to have are the tab options in settings. I have tried setting it
    to always open in new tabs, and in new a new window, but nothing works.
    Please don't mention keyboard shortcuts, as that doesn't seem intuitive; who wants to remind themselves to use the shortcut every time?
    And yes, I know I could go back to FF, but I'm not a quitter! I want to like IE10, and I'm willing to give it a chance in spite of a few shortcomings.
    Is there a plugin or registry hack to really really really make IE10 ALWAYS open links in new tabs?

    Hi,
    As far as I know, the behaviors of clicking some links are different due to how they are designed for some websites; there should be some purposes about why they are designed in such
    way. There might be no other way to achieve this in Internet Explorer. Please understand that Internet Explorer and Firefox are different, such as on how they are designed and how they work; and Firefox needs an add-on to do this.
    In Internet Explorer, there are many shortcut keys to reduce the operations and make it easier to use; I think you can have a try. I would like to share the following with you for your reference:

  • The right-mouse-click dropdown on links in FF4.00 has swapped the positions of 'open link in new tab' & 'open link in new window'. This is infuriating as I keep opening windows when I want tabs. I want to swap back - how?

    Please swap them back!

    the user cor-el has a method that does not require any add-ons. He States
    This code in userChrome.css will move "Open Link in New Window" to the top of the context menu.
    <pre>@namespace url("<a href="http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul">http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul</a>"); /* only needed once */
    #contentAreaContextMenu &gt; * { -moz-box-ordinal-group: 2; }
    #context-openlink { -moz-box-ordinal-group: 1 !important; }</pre>
    the user jay_ff shows how to do it using the Menu Editor Add-on
    1. Install the Menu Editor add-on from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/menu-editor/ .
    2. After the installation, go to Firefox> add-ons (or simply use Ctrl+Shift+A)
    3. Go to the Menu Editor "Options"
    4. In the "Main context menu," simply grab the "Open link in New Tab" and place it below the "Open Link in New Window"
    5. and Voila! You may also change other menu options if you want to!
    I tried jay_ff method first and found that indeed changing the Main Context Menu did cause the hotlink context menu to change as well.

  • How to open link in new tab using Spry?

    Does anyone know how to open menu web links in a new tab

    Thanks!
    Opening new windows in a new tab is a setting within the IE7
    preferences ( and I'd assume 8 too ) and as far as I'm aware there
    is no control over this setting from within the HTML/JavaScript of
    the web page to do what you are asking. If you use _blank and the
    user has the appropriate setting in their browser, then it will
    open in a new tab, not in a new window.
