How to pass conventional table values in object types Dynamically

Hi All,
Need urgent help...
TYPE add_ty is object
(add1     varchar2(50),
add2     varchar2(50),
add2     varchar2(50))
type add_ty_obj is table of add_ty;
create table company_dtl
(cmpid          number(10),
cmpname          varchar2(100),
address          add_ty_obj);
table company_dtl contains demo data as below:-
cmpid cmpname address
C101     abc     UK,
          USA,
          AUS
c102     xyz     UK,
          CN,
          GER
If I want to read data from table and pass data to object add_ty_obj,
So How can I do it dynamically. I am willing to create procedure
which can read data from above table and pass that to mentioned object in
OUT parameter.
Out parameter contains same object type somewhere in middleware.
Please help or advice.
Thanks in Advance..

Hi
i have tried to make procedure that take company id as input and give their address as output.I think it might be useful for you. Or if you want something different
please write us with more detail.
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE READ_DATA_PROC( VAR_CMPID IN NUMBER , VAR_TYP OUT ADD_TY_OBJ)
AS
BEGIN
SELECT ADDRESS INTO VAR_TYP FROM COMPANY_DTL WHERE CMPID = V_CMPID ;
END READ_DATA_PROC;
here i'm also adding your table and type definition i've used
CREATE TYPE ADD_TY IS OBJECT
(ADD1 VARCHAR2(50),
ADD2 VARCHAR2(50),
ADD3 VARCHAR2(50));
CREATE TYPE ADD_TY_OBJ AS TABLE OF ADD_TY;
CREATE TABLE COMPANY_DTL
(CMPID NUMBER(10),
CMPNAME VARCHAR2(100),
ADDRESS ADD_TY_OBJ)
NESTED TABLE ADDRESS STORE AS ADDRESS_TAB;thanks,
Neeraj

  • How to pass an IN argument of object type from VB

    I need to call a PL/SQL function in Oracle 8.1.6 from VB. One of the IN arguments is an object type (TYPE). How would I instantiate the variable of Oracle object type on VB side so that it can be passed to the Oracle?
    Thank you

    Hi,
    Per the ODP docs,
    ODP.NET supports binding parameters of PL/SQL Associative Arrays which contain the following data types.
    +■ BINARY_DOUBLE+
    +■ BINARY_FLOAT+
    +■ CHAR+
    +■ DATE+
    +■ NCHAR+
    +■ NUMBER+
    +■ NVARCHAR2+
    +■ RAW+
    +■ ROWID+
    +■ UROWID+
    +■ VARCHAR2+
    It should work if you create a UDT to hold a varray of mdsys.sdo_geometry, for example.
    Hope it helps,
    Greg

  • Passing Values to Object Type Attributes

    Hi Experts,
    I need to pass values to object type attributes amount,channel and company code from zprogram.
    I have got FM 'SWO_INVOKE'.But in this FM how will I pass values to 3 attributes.
    I have created object type through SWO1 .Is it necessary to call FM SWO_CREATE before FM 'SWO_INVOKE'.
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Kaustubh.

    Hi,
    I guess you will have to Initialize business object first by using the function module "SWO_CREATE' and then call the other function module to pass the attributes. I am not sure, but please check by passing the attribute name and value to the tables parameter 'CONTAINER'.
    CONTAINER-ELEMENT = <Attribute name>.
    CONTAINER-VALUE = <value from the Zprogram>.
    Hope this will help.
    Thanks,
    Samson

  • How to pass the Bound values to VO SQL Query during runtime?

    Hi all,
    I have the following sql query;
    SELECT NOTIFICATION_ID
    FROM xx_NOTIFICATION_V
    WHERE COMPANY = NVL(:1, COMPANY)
    AND INITIATOR = NVL(:2,INITIATOR)
    AND PAYGROUP = NVL(:3, PAYGROUP)
    AND SOURCE = NVL(:4, SOURCE)
    AND SUPPLIER_NAME = NVL(:5,SUPPLIER_NAME)
    AND TRX_DATE BETWEEN NVL(:6,TRX_DATE)
    AND NVL(:7,TRX_DATE)
    If i click GO button on search page then it pass the selected Poplists values as a Bound values to VO Sql query at runtime after this I store the search results in a Table(Which is created by using New Region Wizard).
    I want to pass the Bind parameter values to VO SQL query during runtime and :1,:2,:3,:4,:5,:6,:7 values are coming from Poplists.
    I search through forum I found many threads regarding Bind Values but those all are passing ID's only not String(Varchar) values.
    How to pass the Character values to VO Query.
    Please anyone help me on this.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • How can we execute a procedure with object type as its parameter, by passing partial elements.

    Can somebody help...
    I have a procedure which takes parameter as IN OUT extended object type .Below is the example.
    PROCEDURE p_save (example IN OUT xyz_obj)
    my object type "xyz_obj" have elements with other object types also, and that itself have around 100 elements.
    And when calling the above procedure for test purpose, how is it possible to pass partial elements of the object type rather than setting all unused elements to null.

    It ISN'T possible. How could it be? Each attribute has to be set to something don't you think?
    A common way to handle that is to define a public package variable that is an instance of the object type and has ALL elements set to null. As Odie suggested a custom constructor function can be used for that.
    Then you create your procedure instance by starting with an instance of the package variable (where everything is null) and setting values for the attributes you need.

  • How to paas internal table value

    how to pass internal table first value to a variable plz help me

    Hi dulla anjan prasad
       You can use the LOOP statement to process special loops for any internal table.
    LOOP AT itab result condition.
      statement block
    ENDLOOP.
    This reads the lines of the table one by one as specified in the result part of the LOOP statement. You can then process them in the statements within the LOOP - ENDLOOP control structure. You can either run the loop for all entries in the internal table, or restrict the number of lines read by specifying a condition. Control level processing is allowed within the loop.
    The sequence in which the lines are processed depends on the table type:
    ·        Standard tables and sorted tables
    The lines are processed according to the linear index. Within the processing block, the system field sy-tabix contains the index of the current line.
    ·        Hashed tables
    As long as the table has not been sorted, the lines are processed in the order in which you added them to the table. Within the processing block, the system field sy-tabix is always 0.
    You can nest LOOP blocks. When you leave the loop, sy-tabix has the same value as when you entered it. After the ENDLOOP statement, sy-subrc is zero if at least one table entry was processed. Otherwise, it is 4.
    The loop may not contain any operations on entire internal tables  that change the table. However, you should remember that even saving a global internal table with the LOCAL statement in a procedure is a change operation on the entire table, since it exchanges the table contents. When you call procedures within loops, you should therefore check that it does not change the entire internal table. If you change the table, the loop can no longer work properly.
    If you insert or delete a table entry within a loop pass, it is taken into account in subsequent loop passes as follows:
    ·        If you insert a line after the current line, it will be processed in a subsequent loop pass.
    ·        If you delete a line after the current line, it will not be processed in a subsequent loop pass.
    ·        If you insert a line before or at the current line, the internal loop counter will be increased accordingly.
    ·        If you delete a line before or at the current line, the internal loop counter will be decreased accordingly.
    If this information is usefull plz do reward points....

  • How to update the table value in the valuechange event?

    I have an input field in the datatable with the valueChangeListener
    <rich:dataTable id="cart" value="#{cart.cartList}" var="item">
    <h:inputText value="#{item.cost}" id="qty" valueChangeListener="#{items.updateCost}" onchange="submit()">
    <h:outputText value="#{item.errorMsg}"> </h:outputText>
    in the backing bean
         Item item = (Item) model.getRowData();
    // do some update, if the cost too larger, change to max_cost
         item.setCost(max_cost);
         item.setErrorMsg("Error Msg");
    After calling the valuechange method, the screen output doesn't update the cost.
    How to update the table value in the valuechange event?

    As you're misusing the valueChangeListener to set another input field, you need to skip the update model values phase. Otherwise the value set in the valueChangeListener will be overridden by the submitted value. You can do this by calling the FacesContext#renderResponse() inside the valueChangeListener method. This will shift the current phase immediately to the render response phase, hereby skipping the update model values and invoke application phases.

  • How to pass session variable value with GO URL to override session value

    Hi Gurus,
    We have below requirement.Please help us at the earliest.
    How to pass session variable value with GO URL to override session value. ( It is not working after making changes to authentication xml file session init block creation as explained by oracle (Bug No14372679 : which they claim it is fixed in 1.7 version  Ref No :Bug 14372679 : REQUEST VARIABLE NOT OVERRIDING SESSION VARIABLE RUNNING THRU A GO URL )
    Please provide step by step solution.No vague answers.
    I followed below steps mentioned.
    RPD:
    ****-> Created a session variable called STATUS
    -> Create Session Init block called Init_Status with SQL
        select 'ACTIVE' from dual;
    -> Assigned the session variable STATUS to Init block Init_Status
    authenticationschemas.xml:
    Added
    <RequestVariable source="url" type="informational"
    nameInSource="RE_CODE" biVariableName="NQ_SESSION.STATUS"/>
    Report
    Edit column "Contract Status" and added session variable as
    VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.STATUS)
    URL:
    http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?PortalGo&Action=prompt&path=%2Fshared%2FQAV%2FTest_Report_By%20Contract%20Status&RE_CODE='EXPIRED'
    Issue:
    When  I run the URL above with parameter EXPIRED, the report still shows for  ACTIVE only. The URL is not making any difference with report.
    Report is picking the default value from RPD session variable init query.
    could you please let me know if I am missing something.

  • How to Pass a HEX-Value to AdobeLifeCycle (TA:SFP) .

    Hello all,
    how to pass a HEX-Value to print a BLACK RIGHT-POINTING TRIANGLE?
    I want to pass a HEX value to AdobeLifeCycle (TA:SFP).
    This is done as follwoing:
    *-- Variablen
    DATA hex(2) TYPE x.
    SET BIT: 01 OF hex TO 0,
             02 OF hex TO 0,
             03 OF hex TO 1,
             04 OF hex TO 0,
             05 OF hex TO 0,
             06 OF hex TO 1,
             07 OF hex TO 0,
             08 OF hex TO 1,
             09 OF hex TO 1,
             10 OF hex TO 0,
             11 OF hex TO 1,
             12 OF hex TO 1,
             13 OF hex TO 1,
             14 OF hex TO 0,
             15 OF hex TO 1,
             16 OF hex TO 0.
    The HEX-VALUE ist u201E25BAu201C from the codepage 4110 = BLACK RIGHT-POINTING TRIANGLE, (use TA:SPC to see it).
    I set the HEX-VALUE before i call the PDF-OUTPUT:
    move hex to ls_frmglobal-hex. u201E(the field ist defined as u201ERAWSTRINGu201C)
    Then i call the Output;
    Now call the generated function module
    CALL FUNCTION fm_name
      EXPORTING
        /1bcdwb/docparams = fp_docparams
        frmglobal         = ls_frmglobal
        frmisu            = ls_frmisu
        frminf            = ls_frminf
        connections       = connections
        t_sums            = t_sums
      EXCEPTIONS
        usage_error       = 1
        system_error      = 2
        internal_error    = 3
        OTHERS            = 4.
    The result is u201E25BAu2018 instead of the BLACK RIGHT-POINTING TRIANGLE.
    Can any one have a idea what is goning wrong?
    I know how to print a Triangle on the Designer the quetion is how to pass the Hex-Value from a different codepage than the Stanndard codepage which we use.

    I am trying to match \xfa which means that match faas
    a hex value.
    All I want to know is how to use the RE class tocheck
    for a cetain hex value.
    Correction:
    If the data is numeric, it can be matched using a hex,
    or octal representation for the regular
    expression. for instance, the numeric value 6 will be
    matched with either of the following regexes (hex,
    and octal, respectively). Read the API for
    the Pattern class if this doesn't make sense.
    "\06"
