How to pass the JCO Table and Structure in a collection List to frontEnd

I have a BAPI which is returns me a Table and a structure. As i have used JCO I will receive it in JCO Table and JCO Structure. Now the question is that how I should pass both these of these using a collection to the frontend for displaying the data from it.

Hi Samir,
As you are trying to pass the Table and the Structure in the form of collection to the JSP page, you can create a javabean with the structure similar to that of the table/Structure.
Lets assume you have a table called Employee with Emp_Name, Emp_Age, Emp_Sal as three columns, create a java class by name Employee which implements Serializable and attributes as Emp_Name, Emp_Age and Emp_Sal. Generate the setters and getters for the same. In your EJB code, create an instance of this Employee class and set the attributes and save it in a HashMap in the form of key value pair, Value being your Employee class instance and key be your Employee Name. Return the HashMap in your EJB code.
Use the HashMap in your JSP. Get the Iterator for the HashMap and Loop through the keys to get the values.

I have a doubt regaring the ALV's,
How can we pass the internal table defined in the program to ALV by not filling the attribute (I_STRUCTURE_NAME) in the REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY.
I have tried many ways but unable to pass the structure of the internal table. I am getting the error message "Field Catalog Not Specified......" and its terminating and when i am giving the I_STRUCTURE_NAME = 'INTERNAL-TABLE-NAME' then its displaying a blank screen with all the tool-bars and icons...(No output of internal table data is seen on the screen) .
and when i am passing the DDIC table or structure ( for eg. LFA1) to I_STRUCTURE_NAME then its displaying with any error.
Plaese help in resolving this problem....

Thanks for quick response.
In the smartform under the Form Interface->Tables tab
I had defined
LT_PRDLBL LIKE ZPRDLBL. If I define TYPE instead of LIKE I get the error message saying "FLAT TYPES may only be referenced using LIKE for table parameters".
In the main window I have created LOOP, in which I have ticked the internal table and
LT_PRDLBL INTO LT_PRDLBL. In the text node I am passing the values of this internal table
&LT_PRDLBL-XXXX&.
I am able to get the print but the data is not printing.
Please help me with this.

In the onInputProcessing event of the first page , write the following code...
call method NAVIGATION->SET_PARAMETER exporting
    name = 'it_filt_cur'
    value = it_filt_cur.
Here it_filt_cur is internal table.
          NAVIGATION->GOTO_PAGE('next.htm').
In the next page , you can make the internal table as auto in the attributes.
Since you have made the itab as auto transfer , you can directly access the itab in the initialization event of the next page if it is stateless.

How to Pass the Internal table of a report to Smart Form

I have one report in which from selection screen i am getting the values from the users, and upon that values i am filling data in to the internal table.
Now i want to pass that internal table data to the smart form
and print that data in the smart form.
So could you pls give me some pseudo code or any steps to achieve it.

Hi DS,
First of all you need to create a SF and then need to call the FM generated by the FM in your report.
In the SF in the form interface>tables tab>mention the name of the table and its type structure.
Pls note that a new structure has to be created as the same type of your internal table which holds the data.
And the import and export parameters as just the same as in a FM.
Now after you create and activate your SF a FM will be generated (wen u execute your SF you will be taken to this SE37 screen with the name of FM so no probs..)
You can call this FM in your report. Hope this helps.
Ex:
say itab has your final data, and you also want to export a variable var1 to the SF.
after your normal report operations end, call the FM and pass on these data.
say your FM name is FM1.
call function FM1
exporting
var1 = var1
tables
itab1 = itab1.
pls note that in the SF also i gave the same names, it is not mandatory to give the same names.
and as you want to print a table in the smartforms, you need to create a table in the smart forms and then display the data which is quite simple.

How to populate the main table and the lookup's at the same time

What I have with me is the XML files which contain the data from the material master and the excel sheet which talks about the mapping . it basically tells me which field of the main table maps to which field of which segment in the IDOC and also the name of the table and the field in the R3 system .
I wish to use this info to populate the data in the material repository .
- How can I populate the data in the lookup table at the same time when I am populating the main table ? I have only the XML's that correspond to the main table . I don't have seperate data for the lookup tables .
- Can I use the standard maps available for import in the business content of material repository in MDM ?
- If the answer to the second question is NO then I think i can create the maps and save them for future use .

I don't think you can populate both main table and all fields of lookup tables at the same time, i.e. using same map. You can consider 2 options to upload all information you have:
1) If your XML file contains data you would like to upload to lookup tables, you can upload it to MDM lookup tables with several maps using same XML and choosing different sections of that XML corresponding to different MDM lookup tables.
2) Also you can upload main table simultaneously with lookup table entries (using same map), but in this case new lookup table entries will only contain display field values that you mapped. To do this you should use 'Add' value mapping functionality for fields that you mapped to lookup tables.

1) In case you have material master repository delivered by SAP and you use XML files which structure corresponds to SAP predelivered XSD schemas then you can use these maps undoubtedly.

3) If you created your repository from scratch you should consider option of making your own import maps.

I am passing like this but the URL will take one parameter
with one name but I need to pass the same parameter with diffrent Jco destination how to solve this please guide in this.

Hi Lohita,
The parameter sap-wd-arfc-useSys should be given in the iview properties in the Content Administrator. The portal will be able to read the parameters properly even when you repeat the parameters like
sap-wd-arfc-usesys = WD_ORD_RFC_METADATA_DEST:MNR & sap-wd-arfc-usesys = WD_ORD_MODELDATA_DEST:MNR in the iview properties.
You will not abe able to pass it from the application as we would be using HashMap to pass the url parameters.As far as i know there is no other parameter available for the same purpose. Try giving the same in the iview of that applicaiton, it will work.

How to pass the selected table row data from popup to source view

I have requirement of passing the data from popup view to source. , searching some data in popup view and displaying in table,
Like i am passing some input and click search button will display the data in table, when select any of the row in the table and click on the another button , i should be able to pass the select row to the source view and also should close the popup.
When i implement , In the popup windiw, when i enter the customer no, and click on search button, it is closing the popup itslef. not able to see the data in popup.
Can u tell me what is that soultion.

1) Source view
In "Source View" i have input field called Customer_no. But, the end user will not have any idea , what customer no to enter. so i am searching the customer no in the popup view.
1) Customer_no( This is an inputfiled , to get the customer no from the popup view)
2) Get Customer NO( This is a button to call the popup view)
"Get Customer NO" This button action will open the popup view.
In this popup, i have
1) Input field (To enter the search term)
2) Search (To seach the customer no based on the search term)
3) Table ( To display the search data)
4) Button in Table tool bar called "Select" .( To close the popup view after selected the required data in the table to pass it back to the source view).
so in the popup view what happening is, when i click on the search button itself , it is closing the popupview by transfering the first row of the tbale ,with out select the required row in the table.
i need to close the window after click on the "Select" button in the toolbar , after selected the required row data to trasfer in the table.
Can u pelase tell me what are the modifcations i need to do it.

How to find the new tables and columns in a schema

hi..good morning to all...
I have a schema ABC which owns some objects.
Now some days before I have made another schema XYZ which was a replica of ABC schema.
between these days some new tables, new columns in the existing tables(with or without default value), comments on the columns are being added in the new schema i.e XYZ schema.
Now I have to find the extra things which are present in the new schema. I need to find the new tables, new columns in hte existing tables, their default values and descriptions of those.
Can u plss help me how can I find it?
I am guessing that I have to write a SQL query with a minus clause but I am not able to write it and also dont know where should I execute it.

Merging the internal table and structure for PO text material download

   I have a query regarding downloading the PO text from material master.Actually i have successfully downloaded the PO text using TLINE structure along with FM like READ_TEXT and GUI_Download.But when i had to append the PO text for corresponding material,there i got the problem.Let me explain clearly.Below is my coding for PO text download.In that i have used TLINE structure/table for get the POtext via FM READ_TEXT.Also I am using an internal table(It_tab) which consist fields of TDFORMAT,TDLINE and MATNR,So what i need is,i want to merge TLINES structure/table into internal table(it_tab).That is I want to display the PO text along with material No.That is my requirement.But when i append the it_tab using my coding,it was not displaying in the correct order.Attached screen shot is the sample output(excel sheet).column B and C respectively for POtext and material number.I want to get in correct order as it gets the misarrangemnt.(i.e) PO text and material number should come with the same line.So Please help me to complete this task.Kindly point out if i am wrong.

I'm glad to hear someone who doesn't have this problem. I tried that to make a connection between my phone and PC, but then I am unable to accomplish that: it says (on my phone) how I'm not playing something... :@ I mean "WTF, it is a bluetooth...".
I did disable the software from starting, but I is not all of the software - it is all around me: in main many, in control panel... And I can smell some other processes running!
Also, the computer continues to restart it self for no reason, and it has to do something with installation of Toshiba BT...
I will remove this thing from my PC even if that meant reinstalling operating system!
No, I don't have Toshiba notebook... Maybe I had, if that was one part of the uninstalled components.
I don't get it, it looks like Toshibas developers wanted to scr*w with us - why did they make it so hard to remove all of those components. The internet is full of peoples post who had the same problem as I do!

How to export internal table and pass the internal table to another screen?

I have a sql SELECT statement that select data from table into internal table. I would like to export out the internal table and pass to another screen and display the data in ALV list. How to export it out? I try but the error given was " The type of "OUT_SELECT_ITAB" cannot be converted to the type of "itab_result".
Another question is, how to pass the internal table that i export out from the function module to another screen?

how to create the custom table
There are two approach in creating a table.
1. Bottom-up approach
2. Top-down approach.
Both are valid and you can choose which approach is suitable for you. I always use the bottom-up approach. Here are the steps to create the tables with this approach.
1. SE11 will take you to the DDIC and enter the name of the new table to be created. Let us say Zname. Click create.
2. Enter the short discription of the table and enter the field of the table. If it is primary key and you have to check the box.
3. Enter the data element and double click it, you will be asked to save and will take you to data element discription page. Enter the short discription of the data element and enter the information of domain like the length of field and type of field.
4. If you wanted to use the existing domain then its fine, or else, you have to create one. Enter the domain name in the data element page and double click it. Page will ask to save and jump to domain creation page.
5. In the domain page, you have to save the information which you have already given in the data elements page and check it. Before going to data element page, you have to activate the domain.
6. Go to data element page and save, check and activate.
7. Go to main table page and save, check, and activate.
8. Also, you have to save the technical settings of the table.
The table is now ready for operation. You can use it in your program or you can use it to enter information.
Check table: It is the table which will have all the information about the Foreign keys which are the primary keys in the check table.
It can be created by creating the foreign key from the main table. Click foreign key in the main table and it will take you to a page which will ask for table name and field to which foreign key relation has to be associated. Enter the information and you can create the check table automatically.
SM30 is used for maintenance of the table, that is to realease the errors occured during the creation of the table.
